    Thanks! It can be interesting to look for the frequency when using the capture and replay on the Hackrf. I hope one day they implement a Spectrum app. A presto!

      yes! I also hope they improve the Signal Generator utility, it would be even better with some minor modifications (for example Sweep) :)

    I'm curious if this can be used to listen to emergency services such as fire and police that broadcast on digital channels.
    *Can someone answer this?*

    I don't know the transmission radio frequency so how to find it using this device and also whenever that same person changes the transmission radio frequency can it still be tracked as once we have come across that person but with different radio frequency he was using

    How close can you grab frequencies for example if I got pulled over by a police officer and he walks up to my car and transmits on his police walkie talkies would it grab that frequency

    • @foxtrot-Luv
      @foxtrot-Luv 10 месяцев назад

      you mean capturing? yes but whats the point? you can already find out what freq hes using by a simple google search. a replay attack with that is an exercise in nothing.

    Hi, I wont to increase TX power on Portapack H1in within the power supply of the USB battery, must be still mobile, can you recommend to me some device?
    I very much like the antenna on GNU radio, can you post also direct link on this antenna?

    • @therfnoob7697
      @therfnoob7697  3 года назад

      That's an interesting question. Of course it depends on which USB power bank you are using, and what is the maximum power it can supply. I have recently (see Episode 62) started to look at a transmit configuration of the HackRF. Follow up those videos, maybe you'll something that fits your need :) ciao

    255? what. 8:18
    this trigger and it says 255. (hmm okay)
    Would be nice if you also explain the values and what they mean and what variables they are referencing for a given trigger and slices. (if you dont know, fair enough, but please state it) and the "255" margin also goes again on the secondary value.
    as the RF values on some of these features and what they indicate when it ain't obvious, are likely info that many newcomers are looking for, to understand what the different settings actually do.

    I've got one with Mayhem. I tried it and it said Maps not loaded. How
    come nobody talks about getting Maps, and getting them onto the chip.
    Therese's absolutely no discussion on the chips Directory Structure, or
    where to put what, like Frequencies, etc.

      Yep. Best scanner I've ever owned. All modes activated. A little pricey, but we only live once. I have other gear for HF. That's why I'm not concerned about the HackRF One. I have the RSP 1 and the RSPduo which work fine and decode P25/Phase one through DSD+. I guess I have enough scanners without the HackRF working with that stupid H2. It's original too, not a CCP clone. I suspect the H2 might be faulty. Never mind.

      It lets you intercept electromagnetic frequencies (radio waves). Nowadays everything travels over these invisible waves if electromagnetic energy (wifi, radio, private phone calls, bank transactions, everything). So what it does is really up to what you use it for.

    Hi and welcome me to your channel :) So if you put a a more limited freq like : 144.000 to 145.000 Mhz you will get a better response from your Hackrf in detection of a freq.I put to scan from 100.000 to 150.000 Mhz and I TX with my Yaesu FT1D on 144.910Mhz for a test and I got a response from Hackrf 147.155 WAY off from what it should be.try that.73! (go get your HAM license :) ) And buy a decent handheld radio not a Baofeng :)

    • @therfnoob7697
      @therfnoob7697  4 года назад +2

      Right! I also observed this bad/not-precise behaviour when the range is too large! You will notice that you get more "slices" (with low range you have 1/32, and if you go up too much with the range you'll get !!/32).
      In the havoc wiki (github.com/furrtek/portapack-havoc/wiki/Close-Call) they say that their Calls app works well for only 3Mhz (which is basically 1/32 slice). I think at the moment in Mayhem it does not work well with >3Mhz range. But maybe they will improve it :)
      73!

      re: "And buy a decent handheld radio not a Baofeng :"
      AS they are all using the SiRF chipsets these days, there is very little difference between brands ... better off buy a 'legacy' Japanese handheld that uses double conversion on RX and true FM on the transmit TX side ...

      It varies from car to car and age, it depends on the signal and if its "simple" some older car, you can just do it crudely with a reply and on some garage openers same, but modern cars.. not so easy... check RUclips a lot of videos on the subject.
