This is by far my favourite film.. It reminds me of my childhood in glorious technicolor.... Just as the 1950s were... After WW2 COLOUR EXPLODED into ours lives... IT'S WHAT THE WORLD NEEDED... AHHHH MY GLORY DAYS. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Jane looks so lovely and Rock so handsome in this scene. These two actors had great chemistry between them and played so well off each other. Great movie.
One of d most beautiful love stories ever made.Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson appeared naturally falling in love. These movies r classics which cemented d careers of d actors!
Along with, The Gangs All Here - 1943, Leave Her To Heaven - 1945 and The River - 1951, all equally gorgeous color films from the golden age of cinema.
I love the concept that Rock falls in love with her by her gentle ways and manners. Realized she is a "class act" and that's what he wanted in his life. Never read the book but seeing this movie so many times, I realized some men use to think that getting close to a good woman "was special" and behave according to the "norms" of the 1950s. The only fault I had was Jane Wyman being too obsessed about her kids that were adults instead of children, which by the way were spoiled and lacked any empathy for her as their mother which she deserves to be happy too as they are.
Beautiful colors of the 1950's and a wonderful love story . It doesn't get any better than this folks . Bob just loves it takes me back when I was just a kid . I even thought Agnes Moorehead was a cutie too !
Agnes Moorehead was a great actress that played character roles like "Thelma Ritter" and "Eve Arden" great character actresses of throughout the 40s and beyond 60s.
I love movies like this one that had so much to offer the public back in the 50s. It had great dialogue and interesting plot that one an understand because it happens to many adults when their spouses dies and left alone. Not everyone is nosy but some are and you can't help the gossip that occurs when one decides to date other individuals of certain class which are not your snob nose gossipy neighbors.
Ana villarino.
and the next scene opens with a camera shot of the koelreuteria cutting that she put in a vase in her bedroom, obviously indicating how much he has remained in her mind. such a beautiful film.
I was disappointed to note this, too. For Gawd's sake, this movie is 67 years old. Only old movie buffs are going to be interested in it. Leave us to our few pleasures.
💜 anything Ms. Agnes Moorehead is in!!!!! Her and Jane worked well together. "Johnny Belinda," and "Magnificent Obsession" were good too. Jane always said, "I always loved seeing Ms. Agnes Moorehead’s name next to mine. I knew we were going too have fun!!" ⚘️
Anyone else notice the scarfs that Ms. Moorehead is wearing are the very same colours as her Bewitched flying suit? And my stars and sattelites, I 💜💜💜 Ms. Moorehead's red hair!!!! ⚘️
Saludos.
Amazing that people don’t really get Donald Sirk and his dissection deliberate or otherwise of the middle classes of the 1950s America. At the time apparently neither did the critics who viewed his movies as too syrupy even for Hollywood in those years.Imitation of Life indeed 😊
All these young women who never got married and had children which will lead them to this type of life way way earlier. Ironic that rock Hudson was the male love interest.
Ah yes, the "great" 1950's, back when women and blacks knew their place and good men like Rock Hudson had to live a miserable lie by pretending to be heterosexual.
Yeah, now we have men competing as women because they were not man enough, blacks taking money from fellow blacks under the guise of empowerment, but actually building themselves mansions, and the government stealing parental guardianship of their children to force 5 year olds into sex hormone therapy.

It's a gorgeous film. Almost like a fantasy.
This cinematic jewel is definitely one of the ten most visually gorgeous color films ever made, hypnotically beautiful and irresistible.
It so clear and colors so rich its almost as real as a documentary
The Technicolor is amazing. Stunning beautiful.
Jane looks so lovely and Rock so handsome in this scene. These two actors had great chemistry between them and played so well off each other. Great movie.
I always thought she was to old for this part with a younger handsome man

Up there with Black Narcissus as one of the most beautifully photographed movies I've ever seen.
I absolutely agree!!
Superb, have you seen the b+w Japanese masterpiece Sansho the Bailiff (1954)?
Along with, The Gangs All Here - 1943, Leave Her To Heaven - 1945 and The River - 1951, all equally gorgeous color films from the golden age of cinema.
That movie is sooo underrated wow. Cant wait to see this one! I never have!
Agnes Moorehead twirling out of a blue car, in a skirt and sweater even bluer, with her flaming red hair and blue eyes.
The number of times I’ve watched this movie is obscene. I love it. And Jane Wyman is utterly gorgeous in it, as is Rock Hudson.
The 2002 movie "Far From Heaven" a George Clooney project, and also a wonderful movie, was based upon "All That Heaven Allows."
@@josephjefferson2617 i love both films & have them on dvd.

Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson are great in this movie ... perfect acting I think ...
The film is just so articulate... the voices and photography are great.
The colors are popping! Agnes Moorehead in the blue and Jane Wyman in the grey. Love it.
With rainbows of autumn foliage and winter snow colors.
im combination with the golden autum trees ...
Cinematography is extraordinary

ME ENCANTA ESTA PELICULA SIEMPRE QUE LA ENCUENTRO LA MIRO Y ME GUSTA TANTO 😘

The colours! And a stunning Jane Wyman ❤

This movie was on RUclips for years , why the hell they’ve removed it 😠

Jane was such a wonderful actress.
There's not enough Jane Wyman on the intenet

He was 30 and she was 38 and Harvey was 58 yet it was thought more appropriate for her to marry another old man and probably be a widow again !
very please can somebody put this movie back on youtoube
Do you think Sarah was eyeing Ron up there between 31 and 37 seconds into clip. 😉
She was looking at him and already suspecting the possibility of things to come.
beautiful!
La ví hace años, y me encantó; podéis traducirla?

No! 😂
I know it's Technicolor but it looks like Kodachrome!
That's because of Douglas Sirk
He did magic with the camera 🎥🌆
🌈🎥
What was that burning in a pile in the street when Agnes Morehead first pulls up in the beginning of the scene?
Autumn leaves.
@@michaelbruns449 I wonder--did people routinely do that years ago?
Play the whole movie please

Curiously, James Dean had that same station wagon, the Ford Country Squire, his first car, white on white.
Could you please upload the full movie, please?
Agnes Moorehead = Class
Just watching the trailer I get teary eyed. 😒
❣️🙋
Thats a different movie they made together called Magnificent Obsession i think.
@@michaelbruns449Agnes, Jane and Rock were in Magnificent Obsession together. And I believe Agnes and Jane were in 5 movies alltogether. 💜⚘️
