Long comment incoming; I'm not gonna be mad if it gets ignored! 😉 I just found your video, because I searched for M/M book reviews. 😊 It's funny, that you called Eroan Erin in your head while reading, because I just finished Ariana Nash's two books of her Court of Pain story, and in it one of the main characters is actually called Arin (with an A). I also pronounced Akiem differently. I think, Ariana had a sheet with the correct pronunciations on her Pinterest, where I got it from. Anyway. 😉 If you thought, Silk & Steel was dark, then Court of Pain must be pitch black. 😅 Have you read that, too? I LOVED it! But honestly, so far I've *loved* all of Ariana's books! I wish, she'd write faster. 🤣 Silk & Steel was my first of her stories and has a special place in my heart. Who doesn't love hot dragon shapeshifters?! 🤩I also read Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat, but for me it was the other way around: I found that trilogy after Silk & Steel, when I searched for similar reads. Can you recommend more books/authors in this genre and style? I really liked The Scottish Boy by Alex di Campi. And less fantasy but really cool and hot and sweet and heartbreaking pirates can be found in the quite voluminous "Brethren" books by W.A. Hoffman. Hmm, I was recommended the Sword Dance books by A.J. Damas, because supposedly it is a bit similar to Captive Prince, but while I've bought the first volume I couldn't really get into it so far. Somehow I hold everything to Nash's standards and style. 🤣I've just started a book called IMPrisoned, and I have a second book called Pied Piper in my pile, by Emma Jaye, of whom I haven't read anything so far. I expect it to be way softer and lighter than Ariana's stories. I'm only into the first chapter, so I hope, it's gonna at least be worth the money I spent.
This series are my all time favorite, i got a little sad bcz as you said ahahahah the first book is soooo slooooow but IT AMAZING i got all the books and its my top 1 series
