V Rising was the best early access game I played, and it's a great game, one of the best in general. More people should give it a try!

To anyone considering picking V Rising up... Here's my quick anecdote... I put 100s of hours into this game and legitimately forgot it was only early access. Its the only early access game ive ever played that legit felt like a stable and complete experience. Definitely worth the money.

One thing that Force hasn't mentioned, is that besides the PvP and PvE, the actual castle building/designing portion of the game is HUGE and very involved and deep. You can spend countless hours designing your ideal castle, with specific flairs or themes etc. It also can be built for defense on a PvP server, but on Co-Op servers you can focus on just making it look dope, and you can do some seriously cool looking stuff.
I enjoyed the PvE side of the game, and dove into PvP for a while as well, but what really hooked me and took up most of my time was actually designing my ideal Vampire Castle, and in the end it looked super dope. Make sure if that's your focus though that you play on a server that expands out the size etc. of the castle as much as possible so you can make it huge and amazing.
So for PvE players, while there isn't an infinite grind available like running Rifts or something, the castle building aspect of the game is a seriously big thing to do at end game.
I thought they were adding some end game PvE content, they mentioned it in the latest blog for 1.0
Found the building while very well done actually ruined the game for me

The game felt finished a year ago - this is icing on the cake. If you haven't played it - do it - its a must play.

Its not a "must to play". That would be games like BG3 and Hogwarts for example ... But an amazing game. Gets boring a bit too fast unfortunately ...
Best game i've ever played. What gets glossed over is the server immersion. Small servers filled with players that have permanent territory, residence, and presence is what makes the game truly feel ALIVE during a play through. Yes you will progress through the epic pve content of the game. But you will do so while intimately knowing every player on your server. You will ally with some vampire clans and feud with others. You will meet some players that let you in their castles and share their resources, while others lead the entire map into cataclysmic and long lasting warfare.
I LOVE when people have public gardens in their estates and there's like, community gardening and crop sharing. It's so wholesome
This game is very underrated. I’ve been playing it on and off since it launched on EA.
All servers except 2 were dead until like a week ago, cant believe not more people play this.
How is it underrated? It peaked at 150k concurrent when it first hit EA. Everyone knows about it. Maybe its niche but underrated is the wrong descriptor for sure.

it is not underrated. perhaps you are just coming a bit too late. lots of players were playing it during EA launch and i believe will be more during the full release.
Though like other games, the hype will goes down, and that's normal. it is not underrated, that's just how it will be with this kind of game.

This will not get GotY. This will not be discussed for GotY. However, this will undoubtedly be my GotY. I loved the EA launch. I loved the Gloomrot update. 1.0 Looks to be getting at least 100 hours from me of pure enjoyment. I really just can't wait and it's only a couple days away!
To be fair there have been some absolutely incredible games released this year, so even though I'm on the same boat as you for V Rising, it's not entirely due to it not deserving it!

Builders: If you like gorgeous rooms and grand castles, especially decorating them, this game has a great building function. Carpets, wallpapers, lighting, decorative furniture, lots of garden styles including castle wall ivy. I love the rest of the game but I've clocked hundreds of hours building.

This game is just amazing man... Could be a little longer , like an mmorpg or I dont know... You cling to your castle, and one day the sever is over, people just like to reset and start again. But it was one of the most impressive " real sandbox games ", talking about things you can " share ", materials, knowledge , space, everything. I think I will play again, I got addicted to this game in my 2 runs... This game is something special.
Its disappointing when the server down and u have to rebuild again and again i hate to start over and over again . This is my only problem in this game 😢

@@Dead-Mann I feel that completely. There's actually a nice mod that let's you save your base format to switch to new servers. Not sure how it'll work with 1.0 but it's been a life saver for me.

I played almost 400 hours last year and I'm super excited for the 1.0 launch two days from now!!!
how do u get 400 hours on a game like this, on 2-3days we were done/finished with it it; sadly nuff
@shadowmich I didn't rush bosses all the time, I built huge castles and decorated them, I grinded for the best Prisoners and Servants, geared the Servants to the max, I beat all the bosses multiple times because I played with friends who weren't always online at the same time, I played on 3 servers and, last but not least PvP and castle Raiding.
@@shadowmich because some people take it all in and become immersed. Zerging through the game is not fun, you are missing out.
I owned this game probably since last summer, but felt like I missed the boat a bit when I interacted with anyone online, so I ended up setting it down. I cannot tell you how stoked I am for 1.0 and the feeling that the game is going to be fresh to a lot more people, not to mention all the updates that have made it into a full release. Feels like the perfect moment to dive in again! It’s great that early access games can offer an additional launch moment like this to bring more people in after they worked out a bunch of issues and added more content. Such a better player experience for both EA OGs and those that wanted the polished 1.0 experience.

You're showing the Adam fight while talking about bosses roaming and I find that really hilarious considering all the previous steps you need to take before being able to fight against Adam in the first place.
Great vid, picked this up in 2022 as well and haven't touched it since so this was just what I needed to jump back in, thanks man.
Bought this game second day of early acces, found out the game was drawing a lot of my interest after seeing the trailer and a bit of gameplay. Had a lot of fun then, finished most content that was available at such time. Now I'm sure with all the updates this game will fulfill the great thirst of playing a game and having fun all the way, and it's going to be quite a long way.

I have been actively playing since shortly after the initial release, and even had a dedicated server recently. What I am seeing based on your video is a lot of mods will no longer be needed to do some of the actions you mentioned. The quick stash feature was a mod only feature for so long, and is a nice addition. The change in how progression works was not a mod, but very welcomed. There are a couple mods I hope are updated as they were a blast to use, such as the RPG mod from Shou. However, having these elements being officially integrated means I am not concerned with updates, mods being outdated, etc.
Stunlock Studious is my favorite studio, i was lucky enough to play Bloodline Champions and enjoy that master piece, the way they have 'upgraded' to V rising and making this amazing game is insane, alot of fun time both for casuals and people who enjoy pvp as well, really well made based on server.
This game was designed by people that play games. It's as simple as that.
My last Gem of a game was Valheim. This is at the same level of awesome.
You know you're hooked when you log off in your starter Coffin, just because it feels more like home 😁
V Rising is definitely one of my favorite OWSC games! I'm currently checking out the Ashlands in Valheim, so I don't know if I'll play the 1.0 for V Rising on the 8th, but I'm super looking forward to playing eventually! Hopefully you'll do a couple more videos on V Rising post-launch, but I'm glad you've at least covered it here!
Funny, i'm the opposite. I played the mistlands PTB but remember how nerfed the enemies got from all the crybabies complaining about the mist and when the official update launched the bugs were derp level dumb. So now i'm skipping ashlands PTB so I don't get my expectations jacked up as they patch a bunch of changes in and playing V rising until the Ashlands comes out proper.
@@TheXboxSux Probably for the best, lmao. The Ashlands is not for the feint of heart. And, while I hope the overall difficulty of the biome doesn't get nerfed, some changes definitely need to be made.
@@iamcyndelaq3515 Yeah i've tried to avoid spoilers, but I did read somewhere about the enemies just swarming players as soon as they got off the boat and other agro relegated things. Hope they get all that worked out. Excited to make a new world and jump in when it launches.
You enlightened me on this game and I bought it and immediately fell In love, I found a pve server and it's been addicting, I don't know if it's just my server, but the community is great from my experience .
It's interesting that this is "early access" as others have said , feels more complete then some fully released games

This game was great when I played 2 years ago, can't wait to jump back in with all the new zones and changes.
V Rising is one of those games I wasn't expecting to like but figured I'd give it a shot since I loved Battlerite. I fell in love with the game, I played it when it first came into early access, played it again when Gloomrot came out, and cannot wait to play 1.0 finally. I've sunk 100s of hours into it even just doing PvE in solo worlds, this game is an absolute gem and I'm so excited to get back into it

I absolutely LOVED V-Rising when I was playing in 22-23 but kind of forgot about it completely unaware when it would come out of Early Access. This gets me excited! Time to install it again.
There is an infinite PVE loop from what I read within Mortium and those events of bosses dropping loot. But will it be entertaining enough to keep you playing 50 hours or more? I guess we'll have the answer about this soon, though I'm not really convinced. It all depends how much you love your castle (and how much you love hunting for those 100% blood types)
But I hope they will continue to work on the game for a long a time with new areas and powers because it's such a great game !
V rising was a blast at early access release and I played PVP and got bodied snd eventually stopped after around 9-10 bosses. I eventually went back and finished the game about 4 months ago and it was a blast with all the updates. Now im looking forward to 1.0 and playing on a server with some people I know. Super excited for this and Valheim’s Ashland update
Its crazy reading the “this game bad” when their steam page outlined exactly what the game was and people still opt’d to get it and play it and then complain when it was exactly what they said it what.
you can always play on a pve server or singleplayer if the pvp is too rough
@@GomulDart while true, I love pvp and im super competitive. the only reasons I had issues at launch was due to not being able to play till after work meaning others had a headstart and camped resources I needed for progress. It didnt help that I was working a lot of OT at the time so I didnt really have a lot of time to play the game. Totally normal but I just didnt have the time to spend 2 hours trying to gather a little bit of X material. Hence I stopped after a while but did go back to playing again.
But yeah PvE servers are always an option. Dont know how my friends server will be but still excited to play regardless!
@@DarkBiCin yeah i hear man thats fair. When it comes to games like this (same goes for Rust, for example) Kids and people without jobs, or with a lot of free time, are always going to have an advantage. I also love the pvp/competitive aspect of games like this but again its basically always going to be a uneven playing field by virtue. When it comes to Vrising specifically though, you might want to try a RP-pvp server. I'm not huge into RP personally, but I found that the RP-pvp servers in this game are way better at cutting down on the "sweaty" unemployed tryhards. You get more people interested in pvp-ing in a way that is a little more fair and balanced (I.e. not offline raiding, not steam rolling with a full group, or camping/trolling you etc). They are just a little more chill about the PVP without getting rid of it completely. Like instead of just getting jumped by a max level or something, they might try to talk to you, or RP as a robber and give you a chance to talk your way out of it or something. It adds for more nuanced PVP options other than just KOS. There aren't many RP-pvp servers but if you get the chance you should try it out.
@@GomulDartyeah im not big into RP. I loved rust it was a blast but it also helped following base building guides and having a couple people share a base so its easier to defend. But I think my friend is doing a PvE server so this next play through will be much more casual which will be interesting.
Looking forward to this one going full live. Been enjoying it in EA, and love the atmosphere. I do wish we could dig down, especially for building our dungeons, and we need a lot more outfits, but it's been a good time.
V Rising at launch was easily the best most high-quality early access game I've ever played. Most EA games are unfinished trash but NOT VRising.

I'm so excited. I hope some end game PVE infinite grind type challenge gets added but even the initial grind is so good and I haven't done it since the first ea release so it'll be great to do again.

This game has been on my radar for a hot minute. Excited to hear it’s coming to console everyone I know who played the early access for V Rising had a blast and highly recommended it
It’s simply one of the best games I’ve played in an extremely long time during early access where it was still incomplete as a game. The danger factor in the game is real just traveling the world. It’s fun solo, but even more immensely fun with 1-3 others. But the game difficulty starts to scale the more your group with more than one person in it. It’s really worth a try and with all the stuff in the 1.0 release.
It's one of those "always worth a pickup" kinda game. Hardly perfect, but quite fun.
Been playing recently. As someone whos genre is not this type of combat (the moba top down) i will say i have been impressed. Its definitely something to look into.
Had so much fun with this game back when it entered EA. Can't wait to get back into it.

Castle relocation reminded me of the tv show "Count Duckula" instantly. :D
One of the most fun aspects of the game is the customization for playstyle for all ranges and playstyles, from real easy, to "why would you do this to yourself?" You can adjust the game to really fit the playstyle you want, from focusing on castle to design to nearly focus completely on fighting. Since there's also no long drawn out progression system, you can restart and increase the difficulty without having to sacrifice much time. This game really can be made to be enjoyed by everyone that likes base building, fun isometric combat, or just vampires in general.
I remember when i first seen VRising... Its one that i have never forgotten and seem to remember often.. not sure why.
But it made a large mark on me.
Excited for full release I put in a bunch of hours on a pve server with some friends just getting through all the bosses that were there at the time (the ones that gave you fancy buff pillars as rewards... the thing on top of the mountain and the clericy paladin guy and... was it a thing in the first spooky wood zone? it was before the second spooky zone was added lol. Built a sick castle then the next update they completely reworked the castle plot system so my save with my castle was useless. Ah well but that was the "okay now I wait for full release" moment. Anyways only server setting Id recommend adjusting is the teleport material limitations... I've played through most of the game at the time with and without them and I didn't miss it even a little when I tried it without. The ability to build a teleporter at your castle feels so lack luster with that setting in place. This is different than my advice for valheim, where getting your goods back via ship feels like half the fun.
You can make your horse a vampire horse now, summonable and respawnable, with saddles that boost the stats (and change the looks).
Kinda equivalent to the ships.
This game is great! Definitly one of my favorit games ever
I love how they do their monetization as well. Its a cheap DLC package. And its not excessively priced. I grabbed the symphony of the night pack for like $15 bucks. It’s a whole package of cosmetic stuff and not just a horse for $70. The future is quality AA games I think.

Combat is king! If your game lacks fun combat it is DOA. Stunlock have done an excellent job with this game. I liked Battlerite so it wasn't a surprise the combat is also good here.

When i first introduced this game to my friend who loves medieval skyrim stuff etc. he was at first like- ehhHhHh. Then when he tried it since then hes never been bored of it.

I'm so excited for this I played the game on early access and had a blast but I did stop since chnging my m+kb setup to play then chnging it again to draw was pretty bothersome so I've been a controller player ever since

I hardly get time for gaming but make it a point to play this. The social element is the best one where friends make the base and run it together

And if you dont like the camera view, theres a mod thats super easy to install and allows a third person camera mode (will work on private servers. Dont think itll work on official though)

This game is half of AAA costed games and has 3 times the content. The progression and gameplay go hand and hand to create such a fun, challenging and rewarding experience. A new favorite of mine. Haven't been able to quit since 1.0 launched.
Will be my main game on my PS5 🙌🏻 Controller support is amazing in this game.

V rising has to be one of the best survival crafting games out there, reason why many dont try is most likely because its not a over the shoulder 3rd person shooter like fortnite

Vrising was fantastic.
I loved the crafting, progression, and castle building. The boss fights were all great and somewhat difficult especially in the later stages of the game. Silverlight is no joke.
Can't wait to start playing it again when 1.0 drops. The changes all look extremely positive, like getting to choose my own power path.
V Rising is one of the best games I've played, hands down. It's deep, it's authentic, and most of all, it's fun.
The changes to the spell system look really promising. We made everyone of our friends play with us when the game first came out. Finished the base game about 5 or 6 times bug haven't played since Gloomrot was announced.
Can't wait to start a new run on the weekend but I'll miss my bat form 😆

Is it any easier to setup your own dedicated server this time? I thought it was a bit complicated before and never got it to work on my local machine.
I honestly haven’t been this hyped for a game since like… MoP or WoD back in the day. I LOVE D3 and I LOVE Valheim, and this game is like they had a baby. I’m so pumped for this.

I think this game will be a hidden gem. I don't think it will hit main population and that saddens my heart knowing it's a great game.
Love the game! Imo it needs a late game PvP Arena mode like Battlerite tho.
The best PvP server to get into the game, the CORE game, would be the base PvP mode. If you get killed in the wild, you only drop loot and your gear loses durability, but you don’t lose all your gear. Everyone’s first play through if they are okay with the push and pull of catching people off guard, or getting your self caught with your pants down, but it’s not the end of the world, then do normal PvP. After that, a hard core PvP server with full loot drops is nice, but fighting for resources is my favorite.

I know Force typically uses KB&M. I wonder if he tried the controller support at all? He mentioned that it is there but I wondered if the controller support is decent and if it has elevated Steam Deck compatibility from Playable to Verified? Guess I will find out in a few hours!
