Axelm15 I think it's more of a misunderstanding, seeing as Destin used a distance (far), when he really meant how long has it been since the last event.
Destin, thanks so much for your videos. I’m posting this question here because I haven’t been able to find the info ... what binaural microphone(s) do you use?
I was there in May of this year at that exact spot. It really is stunning. I managed to miss the eruption three times before I finally caught it. It's truly awesome.
That was great! I love sound! The Falcon Heavy is my favorite so far!!!!! Now,this is something I have been trying to do for 30 years ! Get a good accurate sound track of a Top Fuel Funny car or Dragster ,both idelling and as they do the burn-outs when they spin the tires to heat them up and put down a track of rubber to follow for traction and the run down the track! They run on Nitromethane and put out 8 -10,000 H.p. ! And it is loud! But you feel it ,your whole body shakes ,it would be worth it!
when I went to Yellowstone, they told us to becareful. The spray has stuff in it that is currosive to glass and camera lenses. That was wonderful. I will be subscribing.
The "big one" Geysir is called Strokkur and just next to him is Geysir, that gave name to all geysirs..but Geysir now is sleeping. It used to be like three times bigger than Strokkur. Oh and go explore more on Iceland - this part and the golden circle is crowded with tourists (for Icelandic standards haha).. other parts like Western Fjords are also amazing and just without people...
Hi Destin - I have just got here from Smarter Every Day watching the drone recovery video and just wanted to say Thank You for telling about this. The experience is amazing, you can really get immersed in the audio and tell distance, direction etc from the sound!
The laughing made me smile. There is so much negativity in the world today that I forget there is laughter. Also, I love the sound, but the video is difficult to watch because of DIMS. (FWIW, I could not watch Blair Witch Project either!) Fun stuff... thanks!
2:00 🎥 he says Mark as i was making a coffee i turned around & Said whaaat haa 🤪 Oh that Geyser > 🌄 In New Zealand 🐑 near oz > they take their food to to HOT springs & do a cook up ' that's also where they made the Hobbit movies 🎥 the houses are still there 4 the tourist 👨👩👦🐑
Okay, that was very impressive! Nice work! :) An idea for a future YT-Channel: The Visual Traveler --> 2 x 4K/120Hz Cameras, placed side-by-side about 62mm (2.44 inch) apart from each other I think YT is not ready for this...yet. :D
An Experience is like a song, you cant just have melody, you've gotta get some bass too, just more spice ands adds to the music. Where as an experience you have to smell it, feel the temperature, see the geyser, hear it, and taste it? Yeah...
Man I wish the video quality was a little better, I'm pretty sure that I am standing opposite you guys! I can make out 2 people I was with and myself from the blur but would have been cool to confirm it :P Was a great trip to take my school kids on :D
Although I havnt been to the Iceland Hotspot. I have spent quite a bit of time in Yellowstone working in my Masters Degree in Geology(Geophysics). If you enjoy Geothermal activity you can’t beat Yellowstone.
Hey Dustin, I'm a big fan. I just would like to suggest if you could give us some commentary about the temperature and the atmosphere? Like whether it's hot or cold or moist or what it smells like? Just to make the experience a bit more immersive. Peace :)
I remember when we went to "Old Faithful" in Yellowstone. Allt hat build up for this amazing thing everyone talked about. After about 30 minutes it blew and I was like "......oh.... thats it?". Then I walked away feeling like I wasted so much time wanting to see this thing that wasn't interesting. Just watch a video on RUclips about it, its easier.
I watched this on my laptop and forgot that the built-in speakers are surround sound, so when she snapped on the left and right it actually sounded like it came from the left and right side
That cheeky tourist and the 10 meters joke 😏😂
Axelm15 I think it's more of a misunderstanding, seeing as Destin used a distance (far), when he really meant how long has it been since the last event.
Axelm15 hahahha I thouhgt he was asking about distance. It was probably a misunderstanding.
No more of dumbass
What kind of binaural mic are you using or recommend?
This is the first video where my wife is the "host". I thought it was really cute.
SmarterEveryDay it worked really well, big thumbs up.
This was really cool, Thanks. Þið munið ávalt vera velkomin aftur til Íslands :) snjalla fólk
Why don't you have this channel listed on your channel?
Indeed cute. More conversation more interesting. :)
Destin, thanks so much for your videos. I’m posting this question here because I haven’t been able to find the info ... what binaural microphone(s) do you use?
I'm quicking becoming addicted to this channel. Thanks.
Thanks for the sound
My wife and I were there the end of May this year and this video made me feel like I was back there again. Amazing country !
I was there in May of this year at that exact spot. It really is stunning. I managed to miss the eruption three times before I finally caught it. It's truly awesome.
I went there in 1985 and got great pictures of this place, the sounds and smell are awesome.
I visited these exact same geysers, when I was stationed with the USAF at Keflavik, in 1987. Thanks for allowing me to revisit this awesome spectacle!
Patrick Lanclos I was there in 1985,also blue lagoon. Was also USAF cop there, loved the place but also hated it at the same time.
I went here in January of 2015 !! Pretty cool to see and hear it again.

These videos + VR headset = greatness
I feel like I don't ever have to go there now... thanks for the cheap trip!
When I was there, it was just as hard to get a shot. Great video!
I reached here directly, just after u hunted down a drone, nice channel bdw. 👍
Loving these videos Destin, keep it up!

I just bought some new headphones yesterday, and finding this channel today was a very pleasant surprise
This channel helped me realize why i was doing so aweful at PUBG; My audio channels are crossed from my computer earphone jack.
Really immersive experience. Braced myself for the spray based on having been there 😀
I've actually been there. It went off about once every 1-2 minutes
That is the coolest thing to see, and hear. Thanks for sharing.
Watching this from Iceland right now. What a weird and interesting experience!
The laughing made me smile. There is so much negativity in the world today that I forget there is laughter.
Also, I love the sound, but the video is difficult to watch because of DIMS. (FWIW, I could not watch Blair Witch Project either!)
Fun stuff... thanks!
I'm in my house trying to look behind me to see who is walking up on me! This is awesome. Great job
It is amazing that you take the time to complete these videos, thank you for your service I am very grateful. Many Blessings!
My first time seeing this type of video!! Binaural sound is cool!!
I'm sitting here with 7.1 headphones wishing RUclips had support for surround sound.
Thanks for this experience
This is really really cool. Thanks for sharing your experience in such a unique way!
"How much time?" *geyser erupts*
Tfw the nature answers your questions
A little spooky to watch this with all lights off, just my cellphone and headphones... sounds are awesomely real
Well done i immediately knew my headphones where on the wrong way before you did the click test. Amazing content.
I kept dodging water sitting at home 😂 Awesome
Wow that was a spin out! Totally weird experience!!
“He made streams come out of the rock and caused waters to flow down like rivers.” :)
Absolutely Stunning !!
Subbed !!
(yeah, I'm over from SED, been subbed there for ages !)
That was wicked, thanks for sharing it with us
lol i almost never lurk in reddit but i found this channel there
I'm going here in October!! I can't wait!
2:00 🎥 he says Mark as i was making a coffee i turned around & Said whaaat haa 🤪

that's also where they made the Hobbit movies 🎥 the houses are still there 4 the tourist 👨👩👦🐑
That was awesome... Love you guys
Would you like to explain the science of geyser in a different video in SmarterEveryDay?
@@mandobob who tf wants to go read that, fucking loser. take a lap
@@ih8chz how tude can someone be
@@mpred8606 I'm not autistic enough to be tude, sorry bud
@@ih8chz lmao
@@mpred8606 like come on, did you read that? does anyone hop on RUclips to look for articles?
Thank you from France :) Amazing !
Thanks for this experience :)
That sounds so awesome!!!
I can literally smell it. I dont like it but I think being there and see it was worth it :)
60fps also would be great.
I think that guy was trying to give you a good estimate but how awesome was the timing of the Geiser? You still put out awesome videos!!!
Very cool video. Reminds me of my trip there. :)
Pretty cool experience !
So awesome!
That was great! I love these videos! BTW, nicely done hosting the video, Tara. You should be in more of Destin's videos.
wow that thing was going off like crazy!
Awesome on my Grados. Thanks!
This is awesome
Okay, that was very impressive! Nice work! :)
An idea for a future YT-Channel:
The Visual Traveler --> 2 x 4K/120Hz Cameras, placed side-by-side about 62mm (2.44 inch) apart from each other
I think YT is not ready for this...yet. :D
Awesomeness I thank You
3.35 min descarga de estática justo antes del géiser.. beautiful sound.. cool..
I love this!
You should do some high speed shots of the bubble forming and explain why geysers occur on Smarter Every Day...if you have not already.
I'm sorry if I missed it somewhere but what type of microphone is he using?
awesome!!!
it's weird how you can instantly tell something is different with the sound
Super!

😎 video! Please send sound traveller to Star Ship launch. Please, pretty please!

I’ve been there and this is quite accurate
awesome sound experience, now we need to get you a better time piece! LOL. Just kidding. sort of.
The thumbnail reminded me of old faithful in yellowstone national park
Truly a land of fire and ice,
Very cool! ;)
Although I havnt been to the Iceland Hotspot. I have spent quite a bit of time in Yellowstone working in my Masters Degree in Geology(Geophysics). If you enjoy Geothermal activity you can’t beat Yellowstone.
3:37 in 0,25 speed is absolutely beautiful.
I wonder if the first guy who discovered it decided to take a warm bath in the pool and the geyser just erupted while he was halfway through. 😀
So could you feel the geyser or something? During the video you were able to tell when one was coming, and even know right when it was going to blow.
3:17 french ppl are everywhere !
Nothing personal, big guy... we'd all rather see HER smiling face. Well, all of us guys- hee hee.
Psalm 78:16 (NIV)
he brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers.
I like the outro :D
nice
Your videos makes me want to buy a 3D microphone, although I don't really need one.
Hey Dustin, I'm a big fan. I just would like to suggest if you could give us some commentary about the temperature and the atmosphere? Like whether it's hot or cold or moist or what it smells like? Just to make the experience a bit more immersive. Peace :)
Can u pls go to MACHU PICHU PERÚ I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO EXPERIENCE IT BC IM HALF PERUVIAN AND IVE NEVER BEEN PLS PLS PLS
That was awesome...
Isn't the water hot enough to give you burns if standing with bare arms or in shorts 🩳

I always wanted to go to Iceland:(
Awesome!.... But I hear some whistling noise all the time.. is this normal?
You should have brought a high speed camera too.
I seriously keep looking over my shoulder for people talking behind me.
Well the smarter people are standing on that side of the geyser, from where the wind is comming. ;-)
My brain said I was gonna get wet!
Your brain is stupid
the sound is great, but it would be more nice with a better camera.
its 4k...
yeah, idk why it was bad quality when i saw it
Björn Sundin gas
Where can we find these (and others taken by you) photos?
its always strange when you here the wind but cant feel it, its weird
Can the video work with earbuds?
What are those weird flashes (looks like electrical arcs) near 3:34?
I watched this on my laptop and forgot that the built-in speakers are surround sound, so when she snapped on the left and right it actually sounded like it came from the left and right side
