I hope our dear Rafa recovers very soon. Sorry about his injury. I know he wanted to play AO, but honestly I was dubious about playing Bo5 so soon. I guess he felt ready to return and there were no closer ATP tournaments available this time of year. Glad he got 3 good matches in at least.
Obviously gutting to see another injury and consequently Rafa withdrawing from the AO. However, the level of play far superseded my expectations as a Rafa fan. I guess all we can do is hope for the best in the clay season! Also, lets say he won the match against Thompson - What then..? He'd most likely pull out of the semi with Grigor. Maybe the injury was a blessing in disguise.
