  • Thank you for taking some time to check out the Captains Collective Podcast, where I sit down and interview fishing captains, anglers, artists and other industry leaders looking for insight, stories, and understanding of their experiences in the outdoors.
In today’s episode, I sit down for another interview with banker, turned shop owner, turned guide, turned travel host, tv host and more…Flip Pallot. Flip is known as being one of the most influential figures in Saltwater Fishing, and an all around outdoorsmen.
In this Round Two podcast, we dive deeper into Flip’s perspective on his career looking back, the role that chance played, the importance of challenge, and the hope for future change for those who love the woods and water.

Flip always displays selflessness humility and humbleness. His aura is contagious and makes you just want to be around him. He's a very fascinating person and he always has some wisdom to share. Truly a kind and peaceful soul. Really love the guy.

Do you think Flip identifies as a environmentalist? Conversationalist? (My guess is that he does not like the labels of either.)

Not sure how he feels about the labels but I know he does care about conservation and issues threatening our fisheries.

@@captainscollectivefishingp9998 in listening to many interviews with Flip, it obvious he care not only about fisheries but probably anything related to the outdoors that he holds so dearly. Really enjoyed this podcast. Thanks.

I didn’t think to ask. I would be surprised if he was super excited about anything going on politically. I have never taken flip for much of a political debater or online warrior.

@@captainscollectivefishingp9998 Water quality world wide and nationally are huge issues that fisher people should be concerned about. Sportsmen should see themselves as environmentalist.
Don’t see either side really concerned about access to lands or water.
Agreed he would be less than thrilled with either side. Great interview!!!

I hope he sees the woke twisted road biden wants for us. I can't beleive any outdoorsman would vote on the left
