I remember when I bought my first Fujifilm (an X-T20) back in 2017, one of the first lenses I bought was the now legendary Samyang 12mm f2 manual focus lens. It was excellent. Hopefully they've continued with their quality.

The 75mm seems to be the only option for Fuji shooters looking for a small and light autofocus lens around this focal length. For 12mm there is also the Zeiss Batis 12mm, but that is two times the cost of the Samyang. So Samyang is in a pretty good spot from my perspective.

A was waiting for this video because I am thinking of getting those two lenses. I would add Fujifilm 23mm f2 that would be a perfect combo for me. I have xc35mm f2 which I am very happy with but 23mm is more versatile.

@@DamianBrown another great combo would be samyang 12mm f2, Fujifilm 23mm and 50mm f2. I really love fujifilm colors and performance.
Only third party lens I own is Laowa 9mm f2.8 but honestly I don’t like manual focus that is the reason why I want to find another wide angle lens. I like fast shooting 🤷🏻♂️

My 12mm AF Samyang is my most hated lens - I don’t know if I have a bad copy but I never feel it is sharp enough compared to my Fujifilm, Laowa and Viltrox lenses. It’s a really shame the size, weight, focal length and aperture seemed perfect for my needs. Your photos on the 12mm looked great on my phone.

Looks lovely in Colombia mate. This combo is probably not going to make it into my bag as the Viltrox combo already has...
That TTartisan AF lens is great, though :-) I had a ton of fun shooting with it and it's a steal at that price. But it hasn't edged out my Fuji 33mm F1.4 WR...

@@DamianBrownnot that they've actually done any updates for the 75 yet. The mode button still can't be used to change the aperture in stills mode.
Bricked my 12mm AF updating it with the lens station. The fact that Samyang has a procedure it publishes on "how to unbrick you lens after attempting to update it" speaks volumes. At least there's an "anti-brick"!
Still can't bring myself to selling the 75 after picking up the Viltrox 75. Both very nice lenses, each with their own pros and flaws.
