Yes, it's true. I was pretty drunk. But when we got back to the beer tent, some bone head was calling you down. Of course, mother was having none of that So me and her told him to shut his mouth. And he became very quiet upon seeing the anger on my face. Love you too John.

Thank you for sharing your story. My parents had similar experiences growing up, & music "kept them going" too. (Worked for me too.)

Thanks JP for such a riveting story. I was in a hurry to go somewhere, but once I listened to the first 5 minutes, I had to listen to the end. Brought back memories. I had that same Glen Campbell 12-string guitar record. And I also got to see Gordie Tapp do a guest appearance with James Anthony (Pecchia) and Lou Moore in Burlington, not long before he died. I love stories from the heart.

The very start of the ‘$100 gig’ for you! Bet you (and I) are wishing we could get that $100 gig in our current ‘COVID 19’ non-gigging environment! Best to you JP, and thanks for sharing your not so elegant personal history.

Might just be the best line I’ve ever heard anyone describe a situation in my life. Thanks once again for the awesome storytelling.

I personally told mister Greenburg where to go, and what to do to himself.

Great to hear more of the man behind this awesome music, you finish you episodes with JP Cormier.
I always hate to be told to smile also because as a child there was always abuse in my home, when we lived in Midland, Ontario until 1969, when our family then moved to B.C. When we moved to B.C. we thought the abuse would cease, but it hadn't, in fact the kids at school used to pick me something awful, usually by pulling me into the bathroom by my hair, to make me sing. If I didn't sing, they would kick at me until I did. Terrible memories of a time that should have been happy times and being able to be a kid, but it wasn't. So yeah, don't tell me to smile and DON'T ever pull my hair either!! Thanks for sharing you raw emotions again JP.

She beat on Bob. Me or Dave, no. Nanette mostly. We went to the court with you and Mother. The same thing you are talking about happened to Dylan. As a result of child protection, he never got an education.
