Congratulations! You can tell from your last sugarbush ESC video and this one how much you improved! And the last one was in the dry (granted your rear brake issues)! Well done :) I actually rode here a few days before this race when it was still wet, and tried to recreate the whole enduro. I did the race in 2019 so wanted to compare my old bike ('16 Process 134) to my new bike ('22 Process 153 29). The new bike won :D. A 150+ travel 29er is almost a must here... I may do the race next year knowing I can do the whole course without crashing now... It'd just be race nerves!
No special mud tires, but I ride Magic Mary soft tires front and rear. They are good in most conditions including mud. I was running the same pressure tire as usual, which may have been a mistake, but Sugarbush has a lot of sharp rocks covered with mud. So I kept relatively high pressure, 22 psi front and 24 psi rear. I run a cushcore insert in only the rear tire.
@@thegreenmountainbiker417 thanks - i bet it was hard to make a decision on going too low on pressure considering there were also dry and rocky sections on the trails. Im 165-ish lbs fully equipped and ride 18/20psi normally on east coast type/dry terrain, it always amazes me the divergence in tire pressure among riders with similar weights/terrain. thanks for replying back and hope to see you in the races next yr.
I run the same tires all time. Magic Mary Soft front and rear, with cushcore in the rear only. I didn't register to ESC Burke this weekend, but I wish you the best!

congrats on the podium!
what kind of tire pressure you run in these conditions? were you riding mud tires?

Are you doing anymore ECS races this year?
yes, Woodstock VT for sure. Burke mountain next week, maybe, depending on the weather forecast...
@thegreenmountainbiker417 I plan to do the Burke race too, maybe I'll see you there!
What tires do you run for Enduro races? Do you use cushcore? I'm curious, Burke will be my first Enduro race ever this weekend.
