The scenery, the weather, the shower, the night sky, the beam, the weather. Another great video. Have you considered installing a night sky camera and broadcasting it live online? I would watch it.
The way you two work together simply amazes me !! And your son is becoming quite the big helper💪!! Love and prayers to each of you always🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Navaeh was right there helping also.
@@SagebrushRambles their kids are always good to help when needed!! Such a wonderful family❤️
Love how kenji can nap and supervise at the same time❤
I like how he past the sheep, and the sheep just looked at him, “Oh, just Kenji doing his rounds”.
You are so right LOL!!
And kitty!!!
Gooooood morning family. Yay for our favorite time on Saturday’s.🎉
❤️ Goooood Morning!
I remember setting the ridge beam on my house. By myself. I agree that it is one of the most dangerous and nerve racking parts of a build. Y'all tackled it like pros! Great job!
You guys always amaze me with your determination, ingenuity, passion, compassion, and heart. I’m proud to share space in this world with people like you.❤️
You guys are amazing! You accomplish what most of us wouldn’t even try and your kids have a front row seat to witness it.
I dream of having the loving/respectful relationship you two have for each other someday. Wonderful! I never miss an episode you two are the highlight of my week.
I just love how you two work together as one as it should be. You have built a beautiful home together. I don’t know where you live but I see beautiful splendor all around you.
Thank you so much 💓 North Idaho
OMG! Melissa and Jeremy never fail to make me laugh. Great job on the ridge beam Jeremy.
It’s so exciting to witness each week the progress you’ve made and it’s so refreshing also to see the Ohana in the videos which includes Sir Kenji and the little sassy feline. Continued blessing Souza Ohana.
Teamwork makes the dream work! In 1991 we built an awesome 6 stall horse barn here on our homestead. We often joked that we didn't have a lot of money, but we had plenty of muscles. lol Well, today we finished digging out the stall compost from the last two remaining stalls to prepare them for a concrete pour. Loved horses all my life, but at 62 more horses just aren't in the plan. So, we're repurposing this awesome space built a man-cave, now building my she-shed, enclosed tool and large equipment storage etc... with the help of our John Deere tractor, thank God for that tractor because these days we have more money than muscles. Love watching what you two are building together, and many years from now you'll have these amazing memories to keep you smiling!
WOW, Your accomplishments never cease to amaze me and are strangely so so satisfying . CONGRATULATIONS!! Once again, Melissa, your closing thoughts are profound! This journey will inspire your children and your future generations!
You two and your children are amazing!!!! I just luv watching this channel
Thanks for the video. It is an enjoyable time to just sit back on a Sunday morning drink some coffee and eat some breakfast while watching your life's progress.
You're an example of Dreams come true, you just have to meet them half way! Look at all the experiences that you were able to keep for a life time.
I love watching your children ride Manny and your excellent “family friendly”
humor! Melissa thank-you for your narrating “alone time” 11:24 and channel summaries.
I love your determination, perseverance, dedication, drive, perfection, grit, and never give in attitude. You have so much to look back to see all you’ve accomplished.. you all are so inspirational! My husband built our house 20 years and we are still so thankful for the journey.
understood.
Nothing is impossible with you guys…..what a formidable team…now even I can breath.stay safe well and happy guys we’ll done
My, my, how I love watching you two build. Melissa and Jeremy are Fearless.
Ditto all the kudos everyone else is offering. 👍💪👏🙌💞 What I wanted to say is, I have never in my life seen a sheep who is so chill around people, seeking you out for pets and hugs, letting the kids ride him - very laid back and dog-like in temperament. Love that guy! 🥰🐑
The queen👸installing the 🤴stud ❤ Three years it seems like just yesterday when I started following the Good simple living you tube channel ❤
I never miss a post and have followed the journey since starting the tiny house build. Truly my weekly dose of inspiration and joy as I watch your lovely family in a gobsmackingly beautiful part of the planet. Thank you ❤
Kenji must be the most satisfying supavisor around knowing your doing a good job he can have his naps
Yay, your own shower! You both must be stoked. Always love you guys playing around, lol. Got to love that intermittent weather. Great bubbles. Fantastic job on that beam. Great vlog :)
Ok, I was holding my breath. I think my heart rate went up quite a bit also. Thank goodness everything went as planned and nobody was injured. Thank you for sharing with us. Love from Ohio. Gabby your coming along so well.
We were as well!! Took a bit to come down from it!!
Bravo 👏👏👏!!! I love your daughters colorful kitten shirt 👕!!!! And the BUBBLES!!! Must have been the kitty cats and Kenji's supervision how smooth it went 😅❤. Wonderful how much the two of you are still so in love and playful 💕🙌. The horses whiskers at the beginning are so pretty, beautiful creatures!!! God Bless Your Wonderful Family 🙏. Western Upstate New York here 🌺🌱🍎🐿💛🦋
❤❤❤ I truly appreciate how you work together! I am also astounded by the fluctuation of your weather!!! 😂
Us too!!
...you put it out there that it was going to be SMOOTH and it was...all how you speak with the Universe. Congratulations on the BEaM!
Good job, getting that beam set. Please take a moment and brace it diagonally both left and right side, as well as a diagonally from the middle post near the bottom and back too the top along the side of the engineered beam. Because even though you have secured it at the bottom. The latteral movement will exceed the spec loads until it is locked into place with the TJI system. Safety first! 🙂👍
Also I would suggest once the lower section is down would be to pour the concrete, it makes it easier, just cover the beams with something. This will allow you to be able to build the stairs.
The closest and shower looks great.
Have a good week and God bless amen.
😁👍❤️🔥🕊🕊🕊🌿🌿🌿
The beam is up, it’s level and you did it safely. That’s the main thing, great job!
Yay! You did it! So proud of you both! The shower doors look wonderful! Now the fun part! Keeping them spot free! Our water in Tucson is so hard it is a nightmare to keep shower doors spotless!
There really is nothing you can’t do as a team! Great job!
I just can’t get over you two doing all this building by yourselves without a construction background. I am so impressed by your work ethic and that “we can do this” attitude. Lol I wrote this comment before the end of the video where you talk about building and before I read other comments. Looks like we all feel the same way about you.
Español
Thank you for mentioning in your video that you are taking a hunting safety class with your children. 👍
Looks like you are having the same kind of weather we are! Goes from snow one day to 80° the next, back and forth, but that’s what spring is like in Vermont and Idaho I guess! I applaud you both for all of the massive projects you take on, sure wish we were your ages when things were easier to accomplish!!! Such an amazing family! 👍👍
Michigan too.
Also here in Tennessee.
Thank God for tractors and backhoes. We built a garage with 12 foot side walls that were 40 feet in length several years ago. I still am thankful every time I look at those large pieces of equipment. They are worth their weight in gold!
C'est toujours un bon moment positif❤
love the way the two eldest were helping with the beam totally awesome that they will have the experience of building part of the framework which is the building block of life, it is the best way to understand why everything needs to have a foundation to build off of whether it is a building, a new learning experience, or a new chapter in your life.
You two are brilliant in how you tackle even the scary things and that is a good example for your children to learn from and experience.
It's nice they can help now
@@GoodSimpleLiving the reason we have children so they can learn from us, help us, and look after us when we need them to
Have you ever watched Shawn James "My Self Reliance" build his log cabin, by himself? Large logs, cable stretched between two large trees, a system of pulleys and come-a-longs. Awesome.
What you have my Darlings
Money can’t buy!
Beautiful family a HOME
And you are so very much loved ❤
Gabby looks great with the
" backbone " in place,and...added bonus!!??
Everyone still has all of their fingers n toes..and No Bumps n bruises!! Awesome!

👍🚜🐺🧙♂️🦊🚜👍
Wonderful process of installing that massive beam never give up
God Bless your fantastic family ! You have your youth, your so lucky 🍀
Yes I second you ,they have youth on their side. My husband is 63 not in good heath and I am 59 ,we last year started to develop this barren Rocky land into an orchard. This year we planted about 250 apple trees along with cherry and apricot trees. People say we are late to try such a project but we are not giving up.
its coming on nicely guys, surely now its time to get all the kids on chores in the afternoon.
Beautiful job Jeremy and Melissa! You are determined to tackle all that needs to be done and it's so beautiful to see how well you work together. God is with you as you continue building! God bless you and your family! A special hello to Eli. 🛩
I look forward to your videos every week. I wish they were longer!😊
You go Jeremy, you're, awesome In every build, have all the confidence in you, and for your beautiful wife who's behind you all the way.
Yall never cease to amaze me. In the unforgiving "spring", dead of winter, or blazing hot summers yall just go for it. ❤❤
❤️
We need a book with your final thoughts on each video. An inspirational offering.
This was stressful. Weldone I'm glad you finished the beam and everybody is safe. Your shower looks beautiful.
Wow! You two are very impressive with all the challenging tasks you are/have taken on with your home/garage build. So very thankful it went fairly smoothly without any incidents. Great job!! 💜🤗🙏🏻Love/Blessings
Your bathroom shower looks fantastic and so does your closet. That beam looked dangerous but you guys did it. Great job! Thanks for sharing. Hafa adai and love from the island of Guam🌴🇬🇺🌴
Thank God that beam didn’t fall. God is good.

You are FEARLESS!!! What an amazing accomplishment for you! Loved this video!❤🎉💕🎊💞
Not gonna lie...I've never been more excited (😅) about a glitch-free installation of a high beam (is that what it's called?). Bravo!!!!
Hello Family 🤗 Good idea with horse pasture- troopers working on fence in hail storm 😉 your scenery videos are fabulous 😍 Awesome job on the support post 👍 Your shower is beautiful - nice to finally have 😊 Have a great weekend 🙏🇺🇲🥰
I've been growing bean sprouts, thanks to you. Love them.

Awesome job Jeremy and Melissa 😊 You can feel the love you two have for each other ❤ 🇨🇦
You and Jeremy are Amazing!! What A Team!! God Bless You and Your Beautiful Family!! Have a Wonderful Weekend!! ❤😊⚘
Thank you so much 💓 God bless
Jeremy you amaze me ! Actually you both do what a team you are. a house build like that without any experience and doing it and amazing job ! Just beautiful ❤😊
Jeremy, you are a super man. At all things. You have an amazing helper. You two can do anything., Stay safe my friends. God is with you. I know that for sure.
For little notches in wood, a router works well and is safer than the saw and chisel. Line levels sag a little. When using a power saw, gloves are dangerous. It can pull your hand into the blade. I'm glad that you haven't been hurt but I worry that you will get caught. I come from a family of carpenters who all died with all of their fingers. Good job with the beam. When moving things, momentum can cause troubles. I've learned that columns need temporary bracing while loading and connecting. Don't be afraid to use extra bracing. Good Luck, Rick
Hi Jeremy that was a nice bit of timber engineering with the help of your wife millisa an kids getting that huge beam up with the john deer tractor you sure have a nice property with mountains all around plus this garage plus living apartment above is a very nice add on to the main house love your channel and your lovely kids who all help nice family good luck with the build and it will be enjoyable to watch
A whopping "wahoo" to the beam... A perfect lift and set!!
Well done you guys are amazing. One thing I did not realize is that i was holding my breath during the setting of that beam, so i can't imagine how you felt.
You guys work so well together and you’re doing a great job. We really enjoy watching your videos. 👍❤️
GREAT JOB !! SO PROUD OF YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED !! THANK YOU FOR SHARING
Congratulations!! You did it! Love your determination and how hard you work to make it RIGHT! ❤❤❤
Great video this week. They’re great every week, what am I saying! Lol. I’m glad you’re building something else. I enjoy watching that stuff. Keep up the great work. You two are so dedicated.
Congrats guys, that was a huge job getting that beam set. Also you finally have your own shower🚿 Stunning scenery, crazy weather😊 Take care & cheers🥰
Thank you Donna 😊 💓
Great job you too….I just watched Nevaeh’s video on getting her new car…it took me right back to my proud moment of my little ones buying their first car…you did everything as great parents do…and it showed by the reaction on her face. It was seeing the purchase through my children’s eye all over again…Mahalo for taking me that happy place…the very best to all of you…Aloha G
Where did all the construction skills come from? Your Dad a carpenter? Love the way you pass this down to the kids.
Whew! That was quite an accomplishment, congratulations guys!
You are so amazing and talented. I held my breath putting that beam up. I seriously thought it was going to fall.
Your shower door is amazing. It really finishes the bathroom off. I waited this morning because it was Simple Living Day. Have a wonderful day and weekend. WHEN DO YOU SHEER YOUR SHEEP????
❤️ thank you! We sheer in May
You're an amazing family indeed.Since you have a side door on your new garage facing your home's side door, then you can build a breezeway between them both
Yes
Another great video with progress on the new build and giggles! The shower is grand! Placing the beam was outstanding!
Your closet came out great. I love your shower door also. Your animals are so special. They love too be apart of what your doing.
You guys are the true definition of what inspiration is and looks like, got me wanting to build all kinds of stuff on my lil place!! Keep the videos coming, I love it!!
Love the dog. Wonderful star shots. Great job on the beam. I know that it all take time but at least with this build there is not so much pressure. Just do what you can. I am glad that you split the pasture in two; it will be a lot better. Good to see you and thanks for the video.
This family is awesome! I dont comment much but I never miss a video. I truly believe this family can do anything! ❤ from Tennessee!!!
Thank you 😊
You spoke out the right words over your project and God blessed you in it! 🙏👏❤️✝️☝️👏 It was definitely the scariest part of the building projects I have been watching you guys do! Well done!
FANTASTIC TEAMWORK !!! You did great Jeremy, had it all figured out before starting and it worked . Super job. We enjoyed the shower completion and the way you described how someone will act brought back memories, We have only been married 55 years and there have been slips and falls and hospital calls and we had to laugh with you. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun around there. Fred.
Good AM. Your weather is just as crazy as ours in MN...Will winter ever end.?? You two never disappoint with your fun and giggles
I had not doubt you'd get that beam up there. Nice work! Also - orange kitty!
Love you guys, you inspire this ole grandma everyday, Hugs from NW Georgia.
Wow! I think I was sweating right along with y'all. Great job! God is good! The shower is looking great! Things are coming along fast. Y'all live in an absolutely beautiful place but the weather is nuts. Lol. I love it! As always thanks for taking us along for the ride!

Teamwork makes the dreams work.!
You are so very right. The absolutely never gives up but neither do you. Thank you for a marvelous video and congratulations on that humongous being you guys rock
LOL. I've been working with temporary electric fences all my life and I don't think I've ever seen anyone get a tape measure out to place the posts. Until now.
Loving the build, very interesting seeing how different the methods and standards are between countries.
It makes me so happy just to watch what ever you're doing, Love you all. (hope the cold doesn't mess with your garden)
