- Опубликовано: 31 июл 2024
- I said I would do a Q&A because I get asked so many questions about cooking for The Queen, Princess Diana and Princes William and Harry. I didn't realize I would get SO many questions (smiles) Apologies if your question is not here in the first video but I promise to do another one soon. Leave your question in the comments and I will try and add it to the next video! And don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more videos.

Darren, your calm voice never fails! You’re so kind!
aww, thanks Jasmin
Yes, it is very relaxing to watch/listen to Darren's videos! It has been terribly stressful with my businesses recently because of the pandemic and high pressure from the investors; I just come home, watch a couple videos, and try to cook a nice dinner for myself! It is really helping!
The fact that Princess Diana was the only one who ever gave him a gift.. a true angel
That's why shes the people's princess
I wrote a poem for Diana when she passed away and I say it to myself every day.
"Diana.
The peoples Princess.
Never forgotten. Always forgive.
Please don't die. I know you can fly. Stay here with us.
You made me smile with your lovely smiles
Very kind always wise
Sometimes I cry to think of you dead
But now I smile when I think your in heaven.
R.i.p to the peoples princess
You could have been Queen but you chose charity.
I love your body and your personality
Rip Camillas a nonce"
Hope you enjoyed my poem
@@user-zy9yg2eu5t you’re an awful poet
Its because Charles is so insecure he doesn’t have the confidence or masculinity to thank others who do the work for him.
@@theriddler482 That Poem was for Diana (Peoples Princess) not you.
I love how he printed the questions, his voice is so calming and he seems like such a nice guy
Loving all these new questions and thank you SO much for your kind words! I have scheduled with the team another Q&A using the fantastic questions below.
I have a new question: what do the chefs do when they need to cater for special diets like kosher/halal? They couldn’t use the same utensils
Have u been try rendang food?
Love your videos! Not related to cooking but my question is; did you have any paranormal experiences when living in the palace? :)
Finally, a good boomer!
I love your videos and stories about the Royal Family. What was the first dish you made for the royal family? And do you prefer sweet food or savoury food?
Fun anecdote because in your thumbnail there was the question 'does the queen ever order fast food'. My grandfather was the Canadian liaison to the royal family for a while. One time on one of the trips over here she was asked if there was anything she wanted to eat. And she said "I'd really like to try Macdonald's' (this would have been probably the 70s or maybe early 80's so McD's wasn't prolific in the UK yet). Anyway, his assistant ran out and got the Queen her first McDonalds. The end.
I was having major anxiety like 20 minutes ago and I somehow found your videos and I feel so much better!!! Subscribed immediately!
Hope you're feeling okay. Welcome to the club
Also the fact that he printed off the questions hahaha
Just show how organised he is
Ikr. Very organized.

LOVE LOVED LOVE all your videos!! Best food/cooking channel AND with a royal flair!! Echoing everyone's sentiment by saying I would love to eat at a restaurant/catered affair you did. Thank you so much for the great content.
I really enjoy your channel. The stories of your interactions, encounters, experiences with the members of the royal family are a tantalizing sneak behind closed doors, and you share them not in a way designed to make them look bad, but in a honest, matter of fact way. Your creations look amazing and taste great. What I like most is you Mr. McGrady. You project such a happy and inviting manner it is nearly impossible not to want to watch your videos. Thank You for sharing with us!
Thank you. You’ve lifted a depression I would love to see you in Texas and introduce you to a few of my friends
The Texas brisket! Loved that story, gave me ideas for Christmas lunch here in Australia.
U are so good for the young generation. It’s nice to see so many young interested in cooking. If I had it to do all over again I would be a chef. I was from the old school, boys didn’t cook 👨🍳 we were engineers, contractors, carpenters, etc! But I loved cooking especially pastry cooking... take care sir and stay healthy!
Great Q&A! Love all the interesting stories so far.
Can you please do a sticky date pudding recipe? I'm craving for one right now hahaha.

Thank you for these Q and A’s Sweet Chef. 💜
Darren, I'm loving your videos! Keep going, more and more, please.
Hey Darren, do you enjoy cooking or baking more? And have you ever cooked for someone famous other than members of the Royal Family?
I love both. I have cooked for five US Presidents (including that President in your profile pic) and many many celebrities. I'll be sure to tell you who in my second Q&A
Darren McGrady what lovely memories you must have chef.....
I have 2 more questions for you .. When you began cooking or even now ...what is/was the most difficult dish you ever made and served to your clients? We’re you nervous serving it? Would you make it again? Thank you chef... I just love your QnA in between your demonstrations... Also.. if someone wanted to experience your awesome cooking... where would we go to do this? 🙏
Jade Bell he has a catering service called Eating Royally. So, I guess you’d have to have him cater lols
Loving this so much!
I love that you have your own channel now!!💕💕
I love Greek food too, seriously missing dining at our favourite Greek restaurant in Kingswinford. One of the first places I will visit when lockdown is over.
Thanks Darren! Can't wait to try hanger steak the way you described it. Also your English tea scone recipe was perfect, my family & I enjoyed them so!

his voice is so soothing listen him made me relax.plus m hungry and watching him..........
"What's there not to like about Italian cuisine?" Well, if you're the Queen, apparently, garlic. Being a sophisticated chef and cooking for someone who hates garlic seems like hell.
I think it's an age thing! My grandparents were born in 1928 and if anything had garlic in they wouldn't touch it!
@@JennieNicole At least in the UK. I have relatives there that are only a little younger than the Queen and they won't touch it either. OTOH my Scottish grandfather was born in I think 1910 and he loved all Italian food, including garlic. According to my Dad, he and his Italian neighbor would try (and fail) to grow San Marzano tomatoes in Scotland.
JENNIE LEE haha I’m from England and I’m pretty young and I must say garlic is vile
@@VeeVe3 didn't know people could be averse to flavour
Lean boi baby daddy haha I’m far from averse to flavour I’m half Caribbean and we like our seasonings but there’s something about garlic that I just hate haha
I love you chef!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this, it's very interesting. When you are cooking just for you, what is your favorite dish to fix?
I've just picked up cooking and I love your videos!

Love your videos! Never fail to make me smile and hungry!☺️
I really enjoy your content . Happy to subscribe!
Love your videos, we can't get enough of them. I'd like to ask you if you find difference in taste between English lamb and American lamb.
Very good lad! Keep it up!
Hi Darren! What were the favorite dishes of each of the members of the royal family you cooked for? I love your videos! Keep up the great work.
I'm a fan. Love you. ❤️
That is an interesting story for me a ghost in the castle.! Pls tell me more.
Mr McGrady, is there a particular Asian cuisine you adore?
And did anyone in the Royal Family had an interest in Asian food? Thank you!
PS. Please stay safe and take good care sir.
(Great video to!)
but ton coronation chicken which is a cold, curried chicken was invented for Queen Victoria I do believe. The victorians loved curry! They did rule Indian after all!
@but ton what reason?
@but ton Not for Queen Elizabeth but a big yes for Prince Phillip. He was a true foodie. And a very kind person
Asia is a huge region.
Why so much people misunderstood "Asia" as just East Asia?!
Even Arab also Asia. Steppe region stan countries also part of Asia.
Hope this question is really talking about real Asia. Not just East Asia.
@@DBT1007 Hey! What do you expect. It's how Westerners, particularly Americans think about Asia. They think Asia as a small continent unlike the Americas
I have many American friends and their geographical knowledge are not so much different than one another either about internal or external affairs. How Trump thinks about meeting the president of Puerto Rico after the hurricane not knowing that he is the president is shared by a lot of Americans out there.Even the Guam and American Samoa sounds foreign to them, never knowing that the residents there are also an American citizen holding US passport
When you speak I immediately hear Ringo Star’s voice when he reads his fan letters on that one episode of the Simpson’s 😂 I love it
love the videos. your still awesome. love the desserts you make. and love your attitude. and love the charm. i would love to see you cook with some of the american chefs or heston blumenthal. big fan from the sf bay area. what would be awesome is if you and chef john from food wishes can do a few segments. together that would be awesome.
