That was a terrible storm! It did a ton of ridiculous damage in many areas! Hope everybody is alright and if their surrounding area too! Sucks that it did some damage to crossings on the SACRT as well!
Poor crossing guard lights and sticks became no match for the atmospheric storm of 2024. Hopefully the gold line trains are up and running first thing in the morning tomorrow
Here in Melbourne Australia level crossings are disappearing, they are either being put over the road or under the road, it's safer and more traffic flow.
Yeah, but sometimes there could be no space on their end. It may be a high used area which may be sometimes the rails may be going under the road or straight over like a bridge.
All these crossings are malfunctioning because they are digging their gates and can the turned off if they don’t have then and I bore they can inspect and repair the crossings bc that seemed like a terrible storm

Sunrise Blvd's hanging lights are so intense, the storm was bad
I realized that this crossing gate is kind of dangerous because there’s a siding in front of the signals
