This is the EXACT video I was hoping I’d find! I have the litter robot 4 and my cats get litter EVERYWHERE in this machine. Litter robot has had to replace the base of the unit twice now from the litter/cleaning of the base ruining the unit by frying the electrical connections in the base of the unit. The kick plate is also not tall enough for my cats and they get litter all over outside of the unit. Also, like your cat, my one female cat pees half in and half out of the box dripping down the front and on the step of the unit. On the positive, it never faults until it actually breaks. I was impressed with how well it did accurately clean. However, cleaning it is an absolute nightmare with all the cracks and gaps like you said. This looks amazing, I've had a litter robot 3 for 3 years and the last year it's been super problematic, not cycling, and now it won't connect to our wifi at all... my only concern with this one is if it is perhaps too small for our biggest cat who is 34 lbs and like a baby panther. I think the price is completely insane though at $639
Ooh goodness I can’t totally understand. In that case it may be a bit too small. I too was a bit disappointed with how unreliable the LR was at times. Wow! You are replying to all your comments which is rare to see. I have the LR3 and its been very promlematic and ive even changed the base. It was having several "over-torque" problems. Have you have many of those problems? And also how often are you deep cleaning it?
I deep clean once a month or every 6 weeks. The biggest issue I’ve had so far (since having it for around 2.5 months is the app not always notifying me if there is a need for me to press the reset on the litter box. Usually that’ll occur after I’ve changed the liner and/or added more litter to the machine. The machine might pause because it’s confused how why so much weight/movement has occurred on the machine and need a reset. 🤣 That’s my hugest gripe, the only other thing that I noticed (might just be me) is that every once and awhile if my two cats pee at the same time in one area it might leave an iceberg of litter that I need to scrap off of the mat then cycle it for it to go down. This has even occurred with my LR4 and my hand-scooped litter boxes as well though. 🤦🏽♀️ It’s honestly been a dream for me. It’s significantly reduced the amount of litter on the floors which was my biggest issue with every other litter box I’ve owned.
Hi can you please do a video of when you take out the dirty bag. I’m still confused about the litter bag lol. Like placing the bag on it properly and then taking it out. I just got a Pet Snowy and I’m just perplexed and it’s making me feel dumb lol. TIA
I definitely think it can be use on carpet, however, just like the LR4 I would consider finding a harder/firmer material to place underneath. Like a large piece of cardboard or a tray. Most importantly ensuring that the surface you place the litter box on is leveled.
In my opinion I think the LR4 does a better job of storing the droppings (it’s much deeper). The PetSnowy is a bit more shallow. I may have the shift the droppings in the tray to get a few more days out of it. Both are equally quiet in my opinion. I’d say the Pet Snowy cycle is shorter and more efficient.
We have the litter robot 4. We use the Fench and we have never any problem with the litter being in the wrong places. Sad to hear that is gives you so much trouble. A week after we got it, there was a technical problem. We had to install a update and since we didn't have had any problems anymore with it 😊
@@imranuddin3648 my largest cat is able 18 inches from chest to base of his tail. And currently weighs 16 lbs. Most time he doesn’t go completely inside the globe to use it. He will usually stick his head out into the hallway and his body is in the glove.
Thank you for this video. This was very helpful as I am looking into the pet snowy myself after having a lot of issues with the litter robot 3. Have you encountered any sensor issues on the pet snowy, and how.long have you been using it? Thank you!
Hi there! Yes I am so glad I could help you out! I have not encountered any issues with sensors. I do believe the weight measurements may be a smidge off in comparison to the LR4. I do notice when I’ve got my hand on placed on top of the hood of the PS it won’t run a cycle. So it appears to be ultra sensitive to any amount of weight. We’ve had it for about a month. I notice my only hang up is the clumps tend to stick a little more to the mat. I just take a item and poke it off and let it cycle through (similar to would happen to me with the LR4). However not a huge deal. I’d say a bag last me two weeks one cat. After a week I’ll maneuver the bag to push last weeks litter further down in the tray to get an extra week out of it.
By chance have you been able to look at their IndieGoGo page. That is where I purchased mine at the time. Though I’m not too sure how international shipping works for them. I purchased for $700 and received the full gambit more tools than I need to last me awhile.
Not much tracking with that litter box but quite smelly,my pura max wasn’t smelly at all but leakage issues and tracking everywhere,I guess I’m gonna return that one as well!
My concern with pet snowy is the way the globe rotates. If it rotates in a circle away or toward the front vs. clockwise and counter clockwise it could be very dangerous. Ive heard of cats dying because they get stuck when the globe rotates down vs clock wise and counter clockwise..i would like to see how this rotates.. i would rather have litter in crevices and the other issues but my kitties would be safe.. research this before you buy and especially if you already have one. Better to be safe than sorry. Blessings to all.❤
I believe it's stated not to use plugged in unless your cat is 6 months or older or weighs a certain amount. I've been looking into getting one and found those articles and videos of the cheaper knock off bots that have really bad sensors being the real cause. So sad that it happened to those owners, but I'm still going to be very cautious about my boy and only spring for it if I can afford it. Thanks for the review btw I feel like there's not a lot of folks showing what this thing can do and better yet, a cat that is actually using it! 😂 my guy is 14lbs and I was nervous he wouldn't fit but he's stocky and that last shot sold me.
In my opinion yes, you may smell the poo when your cat first drops it. However, when it is cycles you can’t smell a thing. I think this also depends on your litter type and etc. I usually spray the fragrance that comes with the PetSnowy once a week for good measure.
First, the snow+ is easier to clean than the Litter robot. However… The usable litter bed area of the Snow+ litter globe/pan is 11 inches front to back, 15 inches side to side (165 square inches). That's small. Really small and it an enclosed space so it must feel even smaller. In addition you can no longer use magnets to make it function without the top in place - that was the feature I purchased it for. I knew if I left the top off there was a possibility that my cats who avoid enclosed litter boxes would adopt this one. Unfortunately, the globe is much too small, after nearly 3 weeks only the smallest 7.6 pound female uses a $600 machine. (No wonder they're giving $100 discounts!)
I would suggest leaving this new litter box in their room with the bonnet off for 3-4 days just so they are used to it. Place the litter in the PetSnowy as well. After sometime place the bonnet on the PetSnowy and allow them to get to know it with the bonnet on. After some time remove the old box and allow them to use it. When my older cat was exploring it I would stay in the room with him for 30 minutes each day. That may have helped as well. My eldest is verrrry timid.
Thank you for the review! I have two litter robots and neither of them are working at this time. When I first purchased them, they were great. THEN we started having all sorts of problems with them after about one year. I am looking for another automatic litter box because I will NOT purchase a Litter Robot again! What a waste of money!
The pets snowy entrance is so small and convoluted I dont think my cat would enter it, especially if he perceived even t6he *slightest" smell. The puramax has a major flaw but one I can deal with, the ELS pet one solves that flaw but introduces clunkiness to emptying the repository, idk. My cats won't go in a litter 3ox that has any evidence in it so I just wish these companies would slooooooow doooown and just briefly test their products 3because it is always just a few uses before the issues become starkly obvious.

The machine might pause because it’s confused how why so much weight/movement has occurred on the machine and need a reset. 🤣
That’s my hugest gripe, the only other thing that I noticed (might just be me) is that every once and awhile if my two cats pee at the same time in one area it might leave an iceberg of litter that I need to scrap off of the mat then cycle it for it to go down. This has even occurred with my LR4 and my hand-scooped litter boxes as well though. 🤦🏽♀️
It’s honestly been a dream for me.
TIA
Is it possible to use the petsnowy on carpet?
I definitely think it can be use on carpet, however, just like the LR4 I would consider finding a harder/firmer material to place underneath.
Like a large piece of cardboard or a tray. Most importantly ensuring that the surface you place the litter box on is leveled.
What a great review. Which one is louder? Do they hold the same amount of droppings?
In my opinion I think the LR4 does a better job of storing the droppings (it’s much deeper). The PetSnowy is a bit more shallow. I may have the shift the droppings in the tray to get a few more days out of it.
Both are equally quiet in my opinion. I’d say the Pet Snowy cycle is shorter and more efficient.
Do you have to use the petsnowy trash bags ?
@@Fayz-1 I recommend using them get do the best job of containing the used litter.
We have the litter robot 4. We use the Fench and we have never any problem with the litter being in the wrong places. Sad to hear that is gives you so much trouble. A week after we got it, there was a technical problem. We had to install a update and since we didn't have had any problems anymore with it 😊
I love that you put in that little nightlight for him. So cool! 🥰
I have 4 years if warranty with litter robot so im stuck with mine. Does the petsnowy have odors? My kitter robot 3 always smells depsite cleaning it.
This video is awesome! I was on the fence on which one was better for my cat and its really nice to see the two compared side by side! Thank you!
Of course not a problem! I’ll be coming up with an update video next month on what I still think about it. Pros and Cons.
Is pet snowy good for large size ragdoll breed i realized from pictures its small and ragdoll cat wont fit in ?
@@imranuddin3648 my largest cat is able 18 inches from chest to base of his tail. And currently weighs 16 lbs.
Most time he doesn’t go completely inside the globe to use it. He will usually stick his head out into the hallway and his body is in the glove.
Where do you get the light
Amazon I purchased the motion light for mine and really like it
Thank you for this video.
My only issue I have is is very expensive to purchase about £900 sterling
By chance have you been able to look at their IndieGoGo page. That is where I purchased mine at the time. Though I’m not too sure how international shipping works for them.
I purchased for $700 and received the full gambit more tools than I need to last me awhile.
Thank you! I needed this review, it was very helpful!
Not much tracking with that litter box but quite smelly,my pura max wasn’t smelly at all but leakage issues and tracking everywhere,I guess I’m gonna return that one as well!
Thanks for the video!! ❤❤
love the review very helpful thank you
@@squidwardfourthwife you’re welcome! If you have any questions just lemme know.
Blessings to all.❤
@@Michelle-32067 it rotates away from the entrance.
Does the petsnowy do very well in terms of odor control?
In my opinion yes, you may smell the poo when your cat first drops it. However, when it is cycles you can’t smell a thing.
I think this also depends on your litter type and etc. I usually spray the fragrance that comes with the PetSnowy once a week for good measure.
Thank you for the review. Thumbs-up.
SKELETON ON THE FACE!!!! SOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!
First, the snow+ is easier to clean than the Litter robot.
However…
The usable litter bed area of the Snow+ litter globe/pan is 11 inches front to back, 15 inches side to side (165 square inches).
Thank you!!!! My cat likes big spaces!
Really useful video, thanks 👍 hope the Petsnowy fits my Savannah 🙏
thank you for such a detailed reivew.
Un Prezioso il vostro video davvero utile grazie mille
Your welcome!
Very informative, thank you I bought 2 pet snowy , I hope my cats won’t be afraid to try it . Any advice how to get them trained ?
I would suggest leaving this new litter box in their room with the bonnet off for 3-4 days just so they are used to it.
Place the litter in the PetSnowy as well. After sometime place the bonnet on the PetSnowy and allow them to get to know it with the bonnet on. After some time remove the old box and allow them to use it.
When my older cat was exploring it I would stay in the room with him for 30 minutes each day. That may have helped as well. My eldest is verrrry timid.
Great comparison review!!
Btw, cats can see in the dark!
Very informational! just still stuck on why your wearing a mask its a cat video its not like your finna cut up in traffic lol
Internet privacy man. Not everyone wants to show their face online, more power to them.
so wotch one recomended 😢
I believe it depends on your cat. In my situation I have a kicker. So I prefer the Pet Snowy
Thank you for the review! I have two litter robots and neither of them are working at this time. When I first purchased them, they were great. THEN we started having all sorts of problems with them after about one year. I am looking for another automatic litter box because I will NOT purchase a Litter Robot again! What a waste of money!
Did you buy the warranty?
I get migraines from the smells when cleaning their litter box but could not see paying over $700 for a litter box. Thank you for this.
Thanks for the honest review. It helps a lot .
Why are you wearing that mask are you a fugitive or a criminal or something
$400-$600+ for a cat litter box! Someone either has a very healthy bank account or just be mentally ill.
Or just doesn’t want to scoop litter. Not a hard concept to wrap your head around.
Why is this woman wearing a crazy mask?
