Man, I loved this show as a kid! Great scene! I love how supportive Clark is to allow Lois some space-literally. Great line in the flying sequence, too about how flying is so easy for him, yet, when he loses his concentration he loses his altitude. Lol. I watched this show-almost religiously-with my dad back when it aired. Sad to see it not get a fifth season after the final episode. Wonderful series. Both Dean and Teri haven't changed much since it ended. Dean embodied Superman wonderfully-an
I love that they actually talk, share fears and issues and you see how much they care and respect each other, and they aren't trying to push things to go faster. It's also one if the first times she's really seeing his life and the first time he's sharing it with someone, not having to hide or be careful. As scary as having feelings for each other was, they also must have enjoyed having someone to talk to, feel like they were in a safe place.
I just got done watching this whole series -- I love this show! Sucks that it didn't get one more Season though. But at least what became the finale ended well enough.
They did get a 5th season they had half of it done when whatever station they were on gave them the ax,if you own the whole seasons watch the behind the scenes Dean Cain talks about it in 1 of them they had wanted to go farther and see how raising the baby would do with there life...
He's been flying since HS!! comics, since HS, Movies... since HS. And Cartoons... since HS. that's one of the things Smallville should've done. Learning to fly, he wasn't superman right away, he was still a kid who learned to fly. I think Smallville would've been tops if Clark learned to fly in like season 3.
they couldn’t though, that was part of the deal they made with DC because of The Superman Returns movie that they were planning that came out during Smallville’s run. They had to abide by the “no tights, no flights” in order to get the series greenlit.
Wouldn't of worked if you're comparing it (Smallville) to the comic. In the comic he was Clark Kent but also Superboy. Smallville was the story about CLARK KENT becoming Superman. Now I wish they would have at least made him fly in seasons 9 and ten because he was close to becoming the man of steel but you can't blame the writers of the show trying to make it about Clark's journey to becoming a hero
lol Clark is saying that as an adult... the point of Smallville was for teenage clark to develop from adolescent to adult and learn about his kryptonian heritage...wouldn't have been much of a series if he had all his powers at once
@@walter8591 he could, he just didn’t know it. Season 1 episode 2 of Smallvile..right at the beginning, Clark floating over his bed while he was dreaming.
@@secranb Yup in season 1 he said that. Although some people do turn 18 a little before graduating high school, so it's not necessarily a contradiction .
There's nothing like having Superman hovering over you in the middle of the night while you're asleep. He intended to be her Guardian Angel to protect her and instead scares the dickens out of her. If I were Lois, I'd been so startled. It's no wonder she didn't bounce right off the bed. Oh wait, I forget, "The Man of Steele " fell on top of her. 😆😁😻
Finding out the truth, was uncomfortable, but it's not what she's referring to here.. A couple episodes prior to this "Contact", Lois was in danger (as always) and Clark really got scared, he thought her peril cane because she new his secret. As Lois was getting more comfortable with the knowledge that HE is Superman, Clark was suddenly getting less so. Clark broke up eith Lois, deciding and telling her, 'that for HER safety they couldn't be together anymore.' This is what broke her heart. Clark had immediate remorse for his rashness, but Lois doesn't find it so easy to forgive. Understandable, given that he left her feeling desimated.
And she broke his heart for sure when she nearly married Lex... he stood on glacier and screamed his heart out, cry of utter despair.. He just said he was afraid for her and doubted they could ever marry, no heart break, just discuss with him his worries and try to take fewer chances. Relieve his mind for while. Her job was proving his fears were unfounded. "hey honey, you're floating again!" 🤣
When he flew away from her the way she looked at him it made me think that Lois was talking to dead Clark and he was a ghost and disappeared later but it was only in my imagination although!!!!!!!
@MagdaLenaRPMW No he broke up with her after she almost got killed by some mad scientist and then tried to get back together with her. That's what she's talking about
He broke up with her when she wanted to accept his proposal. He thought that she was a target now that she knew that he was superman and the best thing is do to stay away from each other.. Is an episode or 2 episodes before this one🌹
To bad this show had to go off the air after just 4 seasons it could have gone on for more seasons if the producers and writters hadn't messed it all up by marrying Lois & Clark and worst part was they having a kid. If they really wanted to they could have made a movie out of it.
The producers wanted them to marry earlier, but DC already had planned for Clark and Lois to get married in the comics, so they asked the TV show to wait.
Marrying them could have have been good but they didn't handle it right. Having the kid in such a hurry was because they knew the show's days were numbered and wanted to work that in before it ended.
the show was cancelled because of two things one the rating were very poor with the idiotic wedding episode and the fact that teri hatcher was pregnant at the time and apparently her doctors were worried about her demanding schedule being too hard on her pregnancy
Dianne Hamelin I can easily see the latter (it's happened many times), I really have to disagree with the former. At least in terms of the quality, since ratings have really very little to do with good TV. Exhibit A: reality shows. I personally think the wedding episode was sweet, particularly the ceremony itself. As Martha said, "Finally." I'm not one of those who must have the "Will They, Won't They?" trope in every love story. It's fine for a while, but it gets old fast. So do the overwhelming number of unhappy relationships that populate fiction. We see enough of that in the real world. A few more happy, committed and stable relationships would be welcome, to me at least.
They were picked up for a 5 season but Teri was pregnant and high risk at the time doctors wanted her to take it easy. They tell the story at every comic Con. Teri husband even guest stared as Ching but back to everything season 5 they were gonna talk about the royal baby from Krypton
I LOVED at the end when they find a baby on their doorstep, and I think they’re gonna make great parents.
I LOVED how he was floating over top of her, she woke up and he landed on top of her I laughed so hard.
Very powerful. I just love Lois and Clark!

I will always love this scene. Cause it's funny but also serious at the same time. I really wish they did a fifth season. That would've been great.
I second the notion for a fifth season. Cain and Hatcher both want to do it!
And I also totally agree!! We al want a 5th season, Dean and Teri want a 5th season!!....x

me too, i wanted to see them handling parenthood with their new adorable baby.
I just like the fact that he gave her the bed. What a gentleman... Lol
Lois and Clark the adventures of Superman is better than the adventures of Superman 1956
"oh, i guess you're better at it than I am, huh?" lol

yeah.. baby appearing out of nowhere - that's completely normal, right ? There's no way people will wonder where that baby came from ever...
One of my favorite scenes LOL
I laughed so hard when he started floating. It was too funny when i first saw it, still kinda is.

Smallville messed up a lot of things. Great cast though.
Megan Joelyn Just assume Smallville is set not on Earth 1

@birdandbaby2008 When she discovered him to be superman without him telling her on time. He had been lying to her for two years. That broke her heart.

This is the most hairless version of Superman

The Guess Who are giving a free concert tomorrow at midnight?!?
Alguien sabe porque luois dice que clark le rompio el corazon?
Does some body knows why Louis says that clrk broked her hearth?
Porque no pudo hacerle el amor desenfrenadamente como hubiera querido ella
Porque había roto con ella en el episodio anterior para protegerla de salir lastimada aunque al final igual se arrepintió de haber roto con ella.
When did he break her heart? What episode did I miss?
