This scene is classic. Lois and Clark joking around while on an investigation, a kiss, then Lois almost gets killed and Clark saves her. Boy I love this show.
People make a lot of jokes about Lois never recognising Clark without his glasses, but in fairness, neither did Perry, or Jimmy, or anyone else at the Daily Planet, or any of the people he must have talked to as Clark, who would also have at least seen Superman's picture. The whole of Metropolis was just as dim as Lois....
well actually its not only the glasses if you look really good you can see he has some gell on his hair as superman and as clark he doesnt have that also superman always stands the same way he`s like you`re not coming through me.and clark ...... he always gets pushed around. still.... the glasses did really help and of course the fact that she didn`t really think someone like clark would wear a costume like that it`s a whole diffrent thing.
I must say, L&C actually made the glasses work then looking silly. It all has to do with his hair, Dean geled his hair back for Superman, and left his hair when he was Clark! Why didn't anyone do this before?!
0:24 "...these glasses fooled me for two years!" Well, actually, I suspect you fooled yourself, Lois. I think you _knew_ somewhere down deep inside, and blocked yourself from seeing it.
+oxfordblues18 Brandon Routh's performance in Superman Returns was close to and intended to be similar to Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent/Superman. Unless you think Reeve's performance was awful too, Routh was impressive and very excellent as Clark and Superman.
NO he was not. Brandon Routh couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. That nerd routine Routh did as Clark Kent was horrible acting. That's why the movie totally bombed at the box office. Dean Cain is without a doubt the sexiest & most romantic Superman, and the Dean-Teri Hatcher combo as Lois & Clark was the hottest, most romantic, & sexiest Clark Kent-Lois Lane duo ever.
Brandon Routh did a lot better playing The Atom in the Arrowverse. Superman Returns just didn't give him enough material to work with; having more than a few minutes' worth of lines in the entire movie he starred in would've helped.
I completely agree with you. I didn't watch Smallville but what I saw from promos and channel surfing made me wonder WTF the Smallville writers were doing like having Lois and Lex go to Smallville. I loved Lois and Clark as a kid and this will always be my favorite version.
The movie didn't bomb at all. The studio and fans overhyped the movie. It was a fantastic movie and really underappreciated. I mean I agree with Singer. What constitutes failure these days. It made double it's budget. Fans at the time loved it. Just WB weren't happy it didn't make 500mil. I'm sorry but if they promoted it better it would of broke 500mil. Fact is Returns is much better than the crap that followed in Man of Steel.
Yeah, its weird though. The shield isn't invincible, obviously. Sometimes he ends up with a torn uniform in a really tough battle. (or 17 years ago, he could even die)
And it’s 2023 and there is the successful show called Superman & Lois on its 3rd season and in this show Superman and Lois are married and they have twin boys. One has powers and the other doesn’t.
I love how Clarks human clothes have super powers as well and did not get damaged. I'm glad I always avoided this show even though Terri Hatcher is so sexy.
The glasses is not Superman only part of the costume it’s the entire goofiness of Clark kent. How can that guy be Superman ??? Look at him such a misfit. Christopher Reeves was great at it.
Dean Cain's Clark Kent didn't fake to be clumsy, he was himself, the fun of the show is how they don't know he is Superman just because of the glasses, no matter how different they play it's always just the glasses and clothes that trick people, which in all versions it's ridiculous. And in this version it's a lot better cause Clark wasn't a complete liar.

FreeSpirited5 this show was so perfect! Never missed an episode. Not ever! I miss it so much!
I think he looks better and rather more hotter without hair gel.
how many likes that lois looks so cute in clarks glasses!!!
wait who? that was lois with those glasses?
To be fair he really did look different with those glasses
Always let the bulletproof guy check on strange noises
That’s not how Lois functions unfortunately. She always finds danger and danger always finds her too
I love that instead of ignoring the criticism that the glasses were a silly disguise, this show played with it and used it as a source of humor.

Tom Welling, and Dean Cain did an awesome job playing Clark Kent. I loved it when Clark was showcasing his powers.
Concordo foram ótimos♥️🇧🇷
Me too
Clark protecting Lois by physically shielding her like that is damn sexy. ♥️ Great scene altogether.
1:57 Evil Drone: "I have a death ray! HAHAHA!" Clark: "That's not a death ray, THIS is a death ray!"
love them both, such great chemistry:)
@NY4Life Dean Cain does sort of have that face, that when he puts on the glasses it sort of changes his demeanor.
0:35 makes me LOL every time when Clark pretends not to recognize Lois.

many have actaully
As a kid I grew my hair just so I could put gel in my hair, comb it back and look like Superman. fucking loved Dean as supes.
0:24 "...these glasses fooled me for two years!" Well, actually, I suspect you fooled yourself, Lois. I think you _knew_ somewhere down deep inside, and blocked yourself from seeing it.
love the fact that Lois has the glasses on for most of this clip...lol
"Maybe... we should just stop talking... period."
Oh believe me I wouldn't get time to talk if I were in the same room with this man! haha
you got that right I feel same way
Eu tbm não que homem lindo♥️🇧🇷

Dean Cain is the only live action actor to pull off the glasses, no glasses superman change
She's cute even she's wearing the glasses
I always thought that Dean Cain really looked different with glasses and his longer hair than superman with gel hair...
Same!!
I love the humour in this show

this. TBH, there's more than a few times where you could be fooled by Reeve as Clark if you didnt know better.
Honestly if I saw a drone with a red light aimed at my forehead I'd hit the floor not just stand there
@ErikaSynvillan No, his invulnerability extends to clothes. He explains this right after the scene.

Sorry, but only Chris Reeve could not only make me believe a man could fly, he could hide behind a pair of glasses!
Yeah, its weird though. The shield isn't invincible, obviously. Sometimes he ends up with a torn uniform in a really tough battle. (or 17 years ago, he could even die)
One of my fave scenes of my fave show. :)
Don’t worry,
the glass from the window is okay.
I think that Lois and clark stay true to the comics and smallville did not
Dean Cain is the only one who can play a good hot superman/Clark Kent
its not far of a stretch considering superman was human at the time of conception it doesnt make the movie any less horrible but i digress
Well often enough the simplest disguise is the best.
muito bom!
very good1
Superman must be one of the best bed guy ever for woman, if you know what I mean
Is this the one with Bob and Carol?
nope... this is the one with Tim and Amber Lake. (Episode name: Don´t tug on Superman´s cape).
i love how he says YEAH
Did He really say " brilliant disguise?!?!"
Laser drones ..before their time...lol
Bu diziyi çok severdim
Tom Welling & Dean Cain both make great Clark Kents
I couldn’t agree more(yes this is 11 years later, sue me 😂)
WTF Adrien!!! You're cheating on Rocky Balboa with Superman?!!😏😏😏
Brandon Routh wasn't the only reason that movie bombed; the script was Horrible with a capital H. The Man of Steel, a baby daddy? Seriously?
Darrin Baker It's funny because he currently is a father in the comics.
And it’s 2023 and there is the successful show called Superman & Lois on its 3rd season and in this show Superman and Lois are married and they have twin boys. One has powers and the other doesn’t.
@KnightAlbert I know that, =) I just didn't know it when I wrote the comment. I hadn't watched L&C before, at all.
These drone attacks are getting out of control!
dam dean cain was hot hot hot ht hot , and then he let himself go :'(
His t shirt is damn tough.
yes...talking will ruin any relationship
Husband and wife
Hello??DUHHH?!!!
H. M , I
*GET DOWN!!!*
This is Funny
I love how Clarks human clothes have super powers as well and did not get damaged. I'm glad I always avoided this show even though Terri Hatcher is so sexy.
there's a reason for the clothes and he explains that in the show. ;)
His shirt must be kryptonian, too. Not a single hole after all those lasers lol
Everything within 2/3 millimeter is protected by him aswell 😊
shouldnt clarks shirt have a hole on it????
his shirt is not made of steel
Clarks shirt should "brake" even if he cant get hurt.
Not exactly. There’s a small barrier around him that protects his clothes, that’s how his suit can withstand so much.
The glasses is not Superman only part of the costume it’s the entire goofiness of Clark kent. How can that guy be Superman ??? Look at him such a misfit. Christopher Reeves was great at it.
Reeves was the best Superman & Clark Kent period but the one thing Dean actually did better is how much different he looked as Clark Kent and Superman
