Yo Jay, thanks for another great vid! I am trying to do this on the OP-1, specifically get the OP-1 to recognize the XTs "start" signal and vice versa. Any idea how to go about this?
Thanks! Hmm you could try enabling the lofi 12xt's midi config settings to: OUT TO = usb and midi, CLK OUT = on, CMD = tx, and PC = tx. That way it's sending the clock signal out. And then you probably have to enable something on the op1 to accept the clock signal, but i dont have one to test it. This guy NearTao has a couple videos syncing stuff with the OP1 (field), maybe this one will give you some ideas on how to approach it: ruclips.net/video/V7aN9cKaqYU/видео.html
@@Jay_Maculate Thank you so much Jay, that worked! But for some reason now, I don't get audio over usb, only nasty loud white noise. Any suggestions as to why this is?
@@simonlaverbeats nice! You could try turning usb audio monitoring off on the lofi12xt by holding function, then pressing mix. Then set ENABLE to off for the usb audio. And then maybe on the op1 there are some input/monitoring settings you can disable too
@@Jay_Maculate Thanks Jay! I made it work somewhat. As long as I put the in signal low on the OP-1 it sounds good, but as soon as I turn the signal up it makes this weird digital distortion sounds to the signal. Any suggestions as to why this only happens when I turn the signal up?
@simonlaverbeats it sounds like a feedback loop, as though both devices are listening to each other and outputting each others audio from their inputs. The lofi12xt doesnt have controls for its usb audio out, it will always just output its audio through the usb connection. Maybe theres a setting on the op1 for muting the digital input. Or worst case scenario, you could try syncing them through the 5 pin midi port or the sync jack on the front of the lofi12xt
