This has got to be one of the best reviews of gear I have ever seen on RUclips. No pling plong music, just every step how one can utilize each feature with real world examples. Thank you so much.

Now that's a demo of the product, real life musical examples of step automation, filter sweeps and more. Nice one Paulee. Has only increased my want for one of these. I'm hearing some classic Daglish/Hubbard/Galway bassline action in the filter section, and plenty of Art of Noise influence in the drums & that classic Emulator ahhh Vox sample. Great music.
Fantastic vid, so well put together too! Glad to finally see someone using it the way I do as well...most demoes are either beats or techno vibes. Love this little box of joy :) And yes..."will it weird" was my first question and had a lot of fun answering it
It's difficult to tell through the RUclips codec, but in the comparison against the Akai, I got the impression that the preamps and possibly the dac weren't as transparent on the LoFi-12. They didn't sound bad by any stretch, just more... well... lofi. lol
I just love the intro...! Great cover of Wicked Game...👍🌞 The video graphics are also phenomenal... I got sucked right back to the 80's...😀❤️🙏 Oh joy...! Thank you for a super presentation, Paulee...!🙏
You have given me enormous inspiration for the XT, as i am a huge fan of sonic weirdness and soundscape bizarrITy.... i can now see paths forward for using this to make really weird music! Thanks so much for this 😍🙏🙏🌌
This thing is definitely cool in many ways, and reasonably priced + easy interface for all that power. Too bad the powerful Sonicware boxes are the miniature ones and the not-so-powerful ones are the full-sized ones, hope they eventually offer something this powerful in that larger format.
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 the only thing they have in common really is the form factor. They look identical, but they are completely different machines in terms of workflow
The vocals and RX11 drums already existed & were imported as 8-bar loops. The device played them back while I added the bass/synths, also on the device. So yes, the demo track is all coming out of the LOFI 12 XT 😊
Hey 😊 via my DAW. The Vocals and drums were from my existing song. I exported them as one mono file and cut it up into sections, then imported these loops into the Lofi 12 XT, and added the bass/synth bell/aah in the machine 😊

Pling plong music 😂 Never seen that before. Hilarious and accurate! 😂
Thanks very much for reviewing this, glad you had fun with it 😁👌
are you part of the sonic ware company?

Fantastic review and your demo cover song was fire!
What is the name of that remix in the intro tune? I want to find it to add to my playlist. So goooooooood!
Thanks, it’s Vogue Renege - Wicked Game 😊
Probably late to the party on this one, but... that intro tune is a HUGE banger.

This is probably one of the best presentations of any sampler out there
Great review man, thanks. That thing is well cool
Thank you so much for reviewing! Great demo😍
Amazing job as always Xanderbeans!! Youre the reason I bought a Poly 800! Love sampling it into my XT
She sold you a poly 800 too? Paulee, you are very persuasive!
Great demo of a great product. Fantastic job - especially love your cover song selection ;)

Excellent review Paulee.. and some awesome tracks to show off the features!! 👍
amazing cover
Geez Paulee. You are so damn talented! Great review and demo. Thx.
It's a great device, I only wish they implement a separate tracks export function to mix songs into a daw
Great demo, I'm seriously thinking of getting one

What a great review. So good I’ve watched it twice so far.
Best review ever. Hope to see more soon!
great cover and sick bassline, well done Poly!
Paulee, you killed that into performance!
Good review, with cool graphics and transitions.
Amiga Workbench 👍
"The lofi 12 (xt) doesn't essentially sound that lofi to me. To me the Lf 12 just sounds nice, it sounds like samplers should sound!"
This!

The Gaz glitch bees beard hahahahaha!
this is really great, thank you! ⭐️💅🏻
very much increasing the likelihood of me (or my fiancee) getting one!
Cool review😎🤟love it thank you🙏
Nice! loved the tunes!
Great tracks Paulee. Made me nostalgic for nights in Camden. I like that it has input for guitar and bass. This or the Smpltrek?
From what I can tell, they’re very similar, but this has a more lofi sound, so it’s a tricky decision.
User interface is hugely improved on the xt

This is a banger
Cool examples and interesting take on that song
Great Tune Pualee! Hey What show on the Poly-800?
Sonic Talk Episode 800 🎉
Brilliant cover, Paulee
what a nice track
Great vid thanks, seems like a pretty darn cool unit. How's workin' on that lil screen? cheers
The screen is really bright so I found it fine to be honest, after years of playing Game Boy with no backlight 😂
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 thanx
Man, Paulee is one cool cat! 😎🎶
Great tracks and overview!!
That device made entire track except vocals?

Does white paint cost more than black🤔
Yes slightly
How did you record your vocal?

great review!
Hey, it's kja, snap them over on GS.. great review!! That cd you did, will you ship to us? If not it's cool.. i would like to check it out though.
Hey thanks, I’ll put you on the list for the CD. I’m waiting for some shipping envelopes atm but then I’ll make them available for international sale.
Such a tempting machine :)
Great review. Now we know who's a dalek 😆
When still use the Octatrack instead?
Great Rew Paulee :)
Go Paulee! 👌🏻
The GAS is REAL👍
Ohhh.. Wow I love the intro track so much…very clever arrangement. Is this available to download? Thanks Paulee
Going to sort the digital release tomorrow 😊
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 thank you 😊
the song is Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
@@Hell_Inc indeed, which is great also 😊
So this is as good/better than the og lofi-12, in every way?
To my ears, the Liven Lofi-12 could get crunchier and dirtier than the XT, but it was a pain to work with.
@@rbwduece1 Are the specs, converters, etc supposedly different, then … or could that only be down to different firmware … ?! 🤔
@@kierenmoore3236 Good question. I’m not sure.
@magicalsynthadventure3216 Paulee, help?! 😬🙏🏼

Great machine but so much menu diving just like the 8bit warps and xfm machines
Does anyone really use high-pass, tho’ …
😖😫😉 … For mixing/arranging?!! 🤷🏻♂️
I guess it’s useful on this instrument because you don’t have as much EQ control as you would in a DAW to make everything sit nicely 😊
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 Ahhh, true … just wondering out loud whether anyone uses just high-pass on their sounds, and actually enjoys it !! 😉☺️

Ugh. You making me READ on RUclips!
The video was already super long and then they released an update! I had to put the info in somehow, at least you got a retro font ;)
