I got the Jade Maxes and they sound and look so nice, but are full of issues. Tolerances are somehow messed up and i literally cant take keycaps off of them without ripping out the switch from the plate. Some of them have a „sticky point“ in the stem travel aswell which makes them feel not nice at all, especially for that price. I can only warn people from buying them, apparently im not the only one who has problems with them either, people in the wooting discord report this aswell.
yup i didn’t look into them as much as i should’ve mine all have that “stick” feeling when i’m playing games and it’s so annoying some of them stay down for a second or two before coming back up
@@untaxableacorn5685 Its incredible how no reviewer ever seems to have these experiences. Did you have Keycap issues too? At least gateron is quick with refunds, will probably go with the sticky rices too.
Your Hall Effect switch sound comparison videos are - likely by accidental circumstance due to your limited Hall Effect board selection - your best sound comparison videos by far and really allow me to closely hear and compare sound differences in the switches because you use the exact same Alumaze60 keyboard and keycaps throughout your comparisons. For standard mechanical keyboard switch videos please consider doing similar and using the exact same keyboard and keycaps for switch sound comparisons. I understand it may be more difficult and work heavy on your end but the result will be well worth it.
Just put my 2nd order thru, went with the Akko Starlit, keep up the solid work! Merry Christmas bud! Also was awesome seeing these are coming from the bay area, love and miss my time in SJ.
I got a keychron k2 he with the nebula switches (surprised they didn't make the list) and I haven't been able to stop using it. Easily my favorite keyboard now. HEs switches are so good!
I'd guess it's because Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches only work with GMMK 3 HE, Keychron K2 HE and Q1 HE. It's inverted compared to the others. I have both Nebula and Aurora and just love them in my GMMK 3 HE Pro wired.
I ordered Magger68 and looking forward to swap gats white on something like everglide switches. But i have seen software and there is switch selection and there are only gateron swithes, do you think this can make some trouble for me or should be fine? Also have been watching ur comparisons and i rly liked both everglide stickyrice and everglide master. But i cant understand naming thing. Like with stickyrice which if i am right can also be reffered as rice pudding and there are also v1 and v2 for some reason? But is there any difference? I am from Russia and i was going to buy switches on aliexpress where i did found some everglide stickyrice and masters but they werent named like masters idk, kinda strange. Am i fine to order those or do i have to go deeper cuz there is some difference?
Kinda sad they don't make a box silent considering how many gaming keyboards are used by people with microphones. Makes me think Gateron etc. don't really understand the gaming scene at all.
Hi, you mentioned in the TTC switches video that the Magnetos doesn't have the subtle "weight shift" feeling when pressing it due to the spring. Just wondering does Jades Gaming also doesn't have that feel? Since the spring length is also quite long at 20mm with a semi box design. Deciding between Jades Gaming and Magneto for my HE build. Merry Christmas.

do the magnetic jade gaming switches have less stem wobble or the Geon RAW HE?

They're quite similar; pick Magnetos if you prefer a louder switch, Jades Gaming if you prefer a quieter one.
so I’ve been out of the custom keeb game, but do hall effect switches require a pcb that supports it?
They're not compatible with traditional PCBs
ks-20?
Can’t wait to put the jade maxes in my wooting
Please give an update on how that worked out for you, it was a catastrophe for me.
@ why’s that
@@snoozy1622 check my other comment here, messed up tolerances got keycaps stuck and sticky points leading to uneven stem travel
There's a switch called Wooting 'Lekker' ? 😄
sounds funny for dutch speaking people
(TIL that Wooting is actually a dutch company)
