- Common webtoon complaints to consider before you start your webcomic. I hope you find this helpful!
These complaints are not targeted towards any specific webtoons, they are generalizations. I chose to highlight these five based on my personal experience and based on public anonymous reviews posted online. Развлечения
I’m personally glad that people are getting tired of love triangles 😭 i grew up with seeing soooo many and every single time I was always like but why does one person get left out?!?? And honestly I grew so so tired of it happening and the second love interest fading to obscurity
I don't think tropes are the problem, it's the way you handle them. Tropes are only used to point out that "this thing happens/exists in a lot of stories" but it's up to you as to how the plot/characters get to that point
THE trope that i hate and can make me close the chapter : the interrupted kiss. Done again and again and seriously when i'm about to kiss someone, if i really want to, i won't be bothered by anything !
Originals are pretty locked in their tropes, but I do see many canvas webtoon that do all these.
Really enjoyed the video, we need to start making love square or hexagons 😆 show the other shapes some love, when it comes to tropes, I'm always tryna find new ways of reinventing them and making them feel familiar but new at the same time, as always keep up the great work and stay awesome
Love cycle is a full cycle of one liking the other (webtoon)
Honestly, I like the love triangle trope. We all have our preferences 🤷🏻♀️
Side note, I really like how you do your videos. Love the cut out/scrapping style!
I think I somewhat disagree with the second mistake. Not because representation is bad by any mean, but because it needs to actually fit in with the story first. For example, if your story is set in the Middle Ages, having an Asian character in your character cast would feel out of place unless there's a good reason why they are present during that time period/in the story. And lastly, forcing diversity in your character cast without considering what their purpose in the story is could make the readers not care about them, because they will found out pretty quickly when the character is there just to fill out the "representation checklist", and not because they are important to the story.
yeah i agree with this
I love your webcomic and your videos! This just made my evening
I love the layout of this video. Very well done, not to mention the topics you discussed.
Your videos are so super cute and I appreciate the work you put into them 💖
Thanks for the video, very helpful
Love triangle haters, unite!
It's sooo hard to find a story without boring romance (so I decided to write one 😅)
love the presentation of the video, love the cute cut outs!!
Where are your other videos. I miss your speedpaints
Ooo good channel
My biggest complaint is that nearly every comic is anime style. It’s like nobody has any originality.
My lack of diversity in my story are a result of complete diversity in the future. So technically the many become one "color"
👍👍👍
When I release my own webtoon I’ll be doing it mainly for myself. I want people to enjoy it. But personally I won’t let others dictate how many story goes. If it’s not for them they can always move on. Plenty of others out there. Or they can make there own. I don’t really enjoy drawing overweight people, my personal beliefs are there are only 2 genders. So right from the get go I will no doubt offend and alienate some people. But again it’s just not for them if it gets them that worked up.
