    Thank you so much! My lock screen was stuck on a depressing blue background after the update from windows 10, I was disheartened, so happy this worked !

    Worked perfectly, thank you! After resetting my PC, it stayed the default blue for a few minutes then went back to normal Spotlight pictures on its own.

    The procedure didn't fix the problem until I reached the second to last step, re-registering Spotlight using PowerShell. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to copy the PowerShell command shown in the video and paste it into my PowerShell window (be sure to look carefully at the screenshot of the PowerShell window; get spaces and formatting characters, e.g., -, |, {, _, etc., in the right place). Despite this challenge, the problem was fixed and I am MOST grateful. I was getting tired of seeing the same picture even though quite beautiful. Thanks very much!

    @ChrisG9978 2 года назад +2

    Thanks for posting! What finally resolved the issue was running the powershell command to re-register Spotlight. Returned to normal after rebooting. I believe what triggers this issue in Win 11 Pro is multi-user login, that seems to throw spotlight off the lock screen when different users are logging into the same PC.

    • @briantravelman

      How did you copy and paste the command into the command box? Because I could not

    • @ChrisG9978
      @ChrisG9978 Год назад

      @@briantravelman copy the command from wherever, then open up a Terminal (Admin) prompt, right-click to paste the command. Should work whether you're using a powershell CLI or plain old Windows terminal. You have to be signed in as an admin to the terminal or powershell command prompt in Windows.

    Thank you so much. I had to do Step 5. It almost worked with Step 4. The first time I tried to delete the content delivery manager Assets folder, the right click made a pop up to say I can't open the folder...so I used the trash icon on top of the page. Proceeded to delete Settings folder and restarted. Still got the blue wavy page.
    Then I did Step 4 again, and this time when I right click to delete, the window to delete like yours finally appeared. Then I proceeded with the steps, and then I forgot that my Lockscreen was still on Windows Spotlight. So I switch to Picture and restarted.
    I got black screen now, on Spotlight, but with the words on center and top left and right corners as if there was picture.
    Then I repeated Step 4 again, and blue page came back...
    Finally I did step 5 and all is well :))
    Hope I did not do any damage to my computer doing Step 4 so many times

    Thank you so much. I tried to do so many things with my limited computer knowledge as well as solutions I could find on the internet and nothing worked. I thought it was because I was doing something incorrectly. Turns out, it was not as your instructions were so clear and easy to follow. After following through all your processes, dynamic theme turned out to be the only thing that worked but hey, at least something worked and now I can enjoy getting new pictures daily again.

    Aarohan your video is excelent, solved my problem. My Dell Notebook came with Windows 10 and along the way, the lock screen stopped to change since it doesn't accept the change to Windows Spotlight in the configuration settings. Migration to Windows 11 didn't fix the problem as well. Today I followed the steps you clearly described and finally step 6 fixed the problem. Thank you so much for your expertise!!

    I had to replace my laptop, it's the same company and Windows but slighlt different model. My previous one did it automatically, but this one keeps givng me the ugly blue background, and as a geoagrapher and travelman, I really enjoyed having the random landscapes with information.
    I followed your steps, and the first set of Files you said to delete, I didn't even have those. And for the second pair, one of them wouldn't delete because it said it was open in another system. Step number 5 was very complicated for me, and I couldn't figure out how to Paste the command into the box.
    I'm attempting Step Number 6 right now, but for some reason my WiFi is running SO SLOW! But I will try Step Number 6, and if it doesnt work, I'll just use the sunset picture they have. Thanks anyways! There's a reason you guys rank Number 1 in tech support!😂

The last step worked you shared worked, however the only difference I see is that it doesn't give me the option to like the photo or show a description of the locked screen image like before. I'm wondering if this more of a Bing option. Thank you for sharing.
