I’d say its worth it. No gimmicks at all. The upgrades are all things that will translate into better performance on the track. No fake vents or fake aero. All real upgrades including extra cooling which i don’t think this video mentions.
Starting from F generation M cars cooling is not an issue even on racetrack lap after lap. But speaking other mods def total rip off this CS package is.
I drove one of these, the M340i and a new M5 all in the same day for BMW's M Town event and while I think the M3 is a fantastic car, it feels too stiff and high strung to be a comfortable daily for traffic and highway commuting (which is 99% of my driving) The M5 was EXCEPTIONAL for this but the M340i struck a perfect blend of feeling lighter and more nimble than the M5 but not as firm/uncomfortable as the M3.
the M340i is a nice car but nothing in compared to this if you look for sporty driving. Most M-drivers dont care too much about comfort and I certainly dont. I haven't yet driven this but really hope I can someday. Already the F80 CS was a great car.
That's too bad to hear. For M2 and M5 CS, the ride is actually better than the Comp models. They brought back some the old BMW suspension magic in ride-handling balance.

All these manufacturers and their crazy expensive ceramic brakes are outshined by even a basic AP, or Alcon kit. Ditch the factory ceramics or go for the steel brakes and then upgrade to a real system from. AP or Alcon. The Brembo GTR kit is damn good to.
is the performance worth $30-40k more over a M3 Comp? No. But it does have a lot of little stuff that adds up.. so much carbon fiber including hood; full leather, etc. is it a case of diminishing returns? Sure. Still cool though and I’m very happy with the car.
It absolutely destroy the Porsche on both straight and track. M3 CS is to much for the Carrera S. Don't ever compare that simple Porsche to a CS model...
looking at the depreciation of the F80 seems that it is higher for the CS compared to the competition 6 speed manual. Maybe in the long term it will hold value

Why would yellow day lights give a sportier look? Don t get it! Those M3 CS really start to become way to expensive foe what you get. At that price tag, there are a lot sport car alternatives.
The GT and LMP versions have yellow headlights. I agree it’s expensive but its the best (mechanically) M3 ever made and has the performance to back it up.
If the difference is even close to the F80 Comp vs F80 CS, it's easily worth it. If you want a drivers car. This is maybe the best sedan sportscar there is around, probably better than the M5 CS.

The thing is, in the Netherlands at least this car competes with a Taycan Cross Tursimo Turbo S. Maybe not with zero kilometers but almost new Porsche. Compare the running cost of these two… and the depreciation. BMW has 44k in BPM tax and the Taycan zero. So depreciation for BMW is at least 44k.
Why a modest power increase? It Doesn’t make sense to me . Tuners are adding more to The G80 via Ecu remap or piggy back & oh those awful black plastic air intakes.. I really do not see any value in this car.

No I own a F80 M3CS 2018. It was 160k new and now I was quoted 49k ex VAT from the dealer. 87k kilometers on the clock.
I think only M2 CS from F generation are holding value. M3/M4 CS seem to not hold the value so well. I have no data to support this tho.
