I understand and respect your sentiments. And while maybe there was a little irony in the high-five or silliness, I DO think there is something very admirable about committing to your passion and really recognizing when it's worth taking "the road less traveled." In theory, dealing with both school and being a professional might seem or even BE ideal, but I think it's really easier for too many people to simply make the "safe" choice. It's tough for me to imagine that Truls will find himself unable to recover from not finishing high school (or passing an equivalency test) at the same time as his peers, but it seems even less likely that he will regret really going for it and devoting himself to accomplishing his dreams and creating the life he's wanted for a long time. Formal education is right for many and not necessarily everybody. I also imagine Truls put a lot of time and thought into this decision and spoke with his parents in depth before making this choice. I have lots of thoughts about this topic and maybe it's better addressed in a live video sometime soon, but I understand where you are coming from and felt compelled to share a thought in response. I hope you enjoyed getting to know more about Truls. 8>)
It's ironic that you use Timo as an example. I'm guessing you're younger and have no idea about his behaviour at the table when he was a teenager. Ask someone who was around at the time and they'll tell you that he was a complete brat from time to time. The same goes for Jan-Ove Waldner who was very nearly excluded from the Swedish league due to bad behaviour in his mid-teens. It's an age thing, not a problem and nothing to judge a young up-and-coming kid by. As Timo/Jan-Ove - or in tennis Federer/Bjorn Borg - grew up they calmed down and became the "icemen" most people remember them for. Truls will do too.
Boll even suggested Chinese players win because they boost their rubbers and use special rubbers. His ''nice'' attitude is more like passive aggression.Waldner who had a real rivalry with the Chinese(Boll is more like the Bundesliga hero) never disrespected them in such a manner.
@@dickn.ormous1064 So isn't it true what Boll said? One time it was the case I think it was Wang Hao who showed the audience in Chinese television how they prep their rubbers before the match
@@dickn.ormous1064 is the ultimate timo hater. you guys will find him in every other timo video or in videos where his name is even mentioned. When someone praises timo, boom here comes ormous. i think its 7th or 8th time i am replying to ormous. not sure how he finds all these timo videos. maybe he loves to hate timo??
How many achievers would you say there are in table tennis? Truls has silver on WJC, bronze in mens team, is Swedish national champ and just won European Junior Championships. Perhaps only world champion (singles) or Olympic champion (singles) is good enough to avoid being called non achiever?
Nice interview with a prosprecfive champion! 🏓💪
I thought this already was posted, or am I going crazy and seeing the future?
Your not crazy, you watched this clip from ITTF a few weeks ago like I did! (starts around 1:07)

Quitting school is no reason to give high five.

There is nothing wrong in giving high 5. People like Messi and Ronaldo will give high 5 too. Let the kid follow his passion..
Truls, if you quit school then you will become a Bobrow
Paul Ispaul hey Paul what do YOU do for a living? I’m sure it’s as great as Adams job no doubt
Babrow has a university degree in art or Something Like that
So serious?! Anyway a great player
Heja Truls🇸🇪
At the olympics 2024:
Truls: A Chinese World number 1, Wang Chu Qing... Not a problem.
my question: why did you use nasty way to make your opponent angry.
Simple answare. He didn´t
みんなワルドナー好きな件
Didn’t know he was a fan of nf
Don’t show this to the umpires you’ll get red carded
Maybe try to adapt some of the attitude of your idol Timo instead of just the playing style

沉思者 莫雷高德😂
Just beat Timo again. Nice
🏓🏓
I can also say F:;/!. Maybe not this time
He surely doesn't look 16 lol
Bit overated, don't like his techniques and he is no Waldner.
He has good technique
Techniqeu is not about looking good its about playing effective and varying spin and placement
口すごい開くよねw

This boy looks impolite👎
I didn't like him 😒
Arrogant non-achiever who thinks too high of himself.

uno reverse card
Ask him to demonstrate the right technique for throwing a racket.
Yeah, he got poor racket-throw-technique. He should watch Filus =)
