Imagine Mods for Star Citizen! Imagine Mods for any Online Multiplayer Game! Well, thats the thing with these kind of Games. It never gonna happen. The idea itself is just stupid. But, there are "Mods" for Elite. They are called HACKS! So, you want to support this? I dont rhink so. So, Imagine Frontier would allow mods. And then think twice about your comment. Because ita just a nonsense thought of you.
I mean... great but how about they also stand behind their promises? They go not roadmap. They are in a technical irrelevant state. They don't even fix what's released and they charge full price for basically adding to the game what they pitched on Kickstarter; something that should have been included for free. Mods just lets them off the hook and they don't deserve it.
@@noone6524 Dude Arma 3, Dayz, Garrys mod, Ark, all MP based games with mod support. Operation harsh doorstop as well...In reality it would save E:D but you apparently don't understand that.
That's typical. EVERY Bethesda game has an UNOFFICIAL patch beeeccaaauusseee Bethesda KNOWS the MODDERS will do it. Todd just got a new pair of shoes and HE didn't pay for them.
You may wish this was more common with other games, but that alone points at a deeper issue: The habit of releasing buggy messes at full price. Bethesda has been particularly notorious for that, relying on the community to fix their stuff because they can't be bothered to. I would not at all be surprised if Bethesda would just leave things at this, along the lines of "The community fixed it, so we don't have to and instead can focus on pushing out the next half-finished game."
Naw, what they do is monitor the download numbers of these mods and get an idea of the popularity of them and then add the popular ones to patches later and they sell the really popular ones when they open up the store.
yes but here we moved on to developing a half game because the modders think about it anyway. They did it for Starfield, now also for cities skyline 2. It is NOT correct to save on development costs and time because then the modders will finish the game by providing content, or solve your bugs.
Maybe once they add a mod where you can supercriuse or actually space travel I'll pick it up again, the original functionality is basically over redundant fast travel. I can't stand that going between planets/systems is simply fast traveling
This feels like a double edged sword. Yes its great games like this can be fixed and games like Minecraft can get new content added, but there was a nice feeling when games were on discs: you knew you had a finished product and companies put in the necessary effort to make it as polished as possible.
Playing with a game pass version of the game, so I will wait until this all launches next year but I am really looking forward to what the community does with Starfield. And that’s the great thing about Starfield being a Bathesda title, we can expect the game to get better and better while we have both publishers and mod support.
All of that work and bethesda doesn't deserve it. While i'm amazed by the dedication of the community, this encourages bad habits from bethesda. This will backfire heavily.
I'm sorry if I get this wrong, but you seem to be of the opinion that this is a strong point. And while it points to invested players, it kinda speaks volumes about devested devs, or lack of knowledgeable people, or lack of people that care. It's actually so bad that it's kinda funny in a way.
@@KaitouKaiju Oh? They care so very much that they allow mods to remove clothes but the ban mods to remove gender pronouns. They seem to care, rather a lot.
Imagine Frontier would allow mod's to ED ^^

Agreed. It's not the community's responsibility to patch a game that people paid full price for.
You guys still buy their games.
The gaming world will never change exceptionally with keyboard warriors like you to.

We need a Gold tier VR mod
Someone at Beth just got a See I Told You So award, as everyone chuckles. Let the modders fix the game for us. Crazy.
The story of every single Bethesda game. Release buggy garbage, some fool will fix it for free.
Are the achievements disabled it you only install this mod?
Unfortunately, yes. Unless you install the mod that re-enables achievements

Removed Starfield 'Pronoun' Mod is the best one
lol amazing

Did they fix Body Type 1 or 2 to Male or Female and get rid of gender pronouns or get rid of the bit about a female clone of a male?
Nobody cares that you don't like pronouns.
