I was like 'oh u sweet summer children' xd. also, of course it's a love marriage. i think you guys are a bit blinded by your own dislike towards Grace's character but its been established basically from the beginning that she is the love of Tommy's life.

Mikael It was obvious by the script but I was still disappointed. May’s actress has a lot more allure and chemistry than Grace. Grace and Tommy didn’t have as much chemistry

It was so obvious but they wanted to be May. I´m glad it was Grace.
I was rooting for Grace. She had more chemistry with Tommy and it was clear Tommy was in love with Grace while it was just a crush for May. Plus, Tommy got her pregnant, if he just left her then he'd be a major arsehole. Of course it was a love marriage! You must be crazy if you think he had more feelings for May, whom he had a fling with, compared to Grace whom he could never forget about. "Does he though?" - Yes, yes he does.
The colonies refer to the British colonies. Remember that it's the early 20th century and the British Empire is more prominent than ever. British India, Canada and Australia are all around as well as many other dominions. This time period is actually when the Empire was at its greatest extent hence the great deal of money.
Grace made more sense, May’s actress was so much better. She managed to steal the scenes she was in

I'm finally catching up with peaky blinders and I'm shocked they didnt think grace and tommy were madly in love. They're the only reason I continued the show in the beginning cz of their chemistry and forbidden romance
Grace wore purple cause she is remarrying Tommy, the baby was huge lmao especially his head, the Grace and May debate lmfao yeah i liked May but Tommy was only attracted to her whereas he loved Grace and still does so i knew it was gonna be her especially since she was carrying his child. One of my fave episodes! 7:33 Iconic scene 😂 Tommy shouting 'No fucking fighting' then pushing the poor dude.
I always assumed Grace's husband killed himself because, after not being able to have kids with him, Grace cheated on him, got pregnant, and then probably told him she was divorcing him. that would be alot to handle all at once. Also it might explain why they waited two years to get married if her family didn't know about the divorce or the suicide. They brobally thought the baby was the first husband's, then Grace gave him a proper mourning period and then acted like she met Tommy after his death. That way the only scandal would be that she was marrying a gangster

Paul Anderson is fucking brilliant, playing one of the hardest characters to play on a show where every character is difficult to play. Shows how brilliant of an actor he is.

This is the only channel where they can turn a simple plot into a fvcking twist. I mean, did you really not know who was the bride? Lmfao. How can a group of people are being equally stoopid?
2 seasons in and they have 0 understanding about the show and its characters in spite of the fact that everything about the show from storytelling to acting to every shot and music choice is so well done it's baffling. There's a stereotype about americans and I can see why. Also, as for the mindless hate towards communism, if you stopped to just think about how the lower class people had to do to get by you would understand why communism can be such an attractive idea. It's so hard to listen to their discussion when more than half of them have pathetic critical thinking skills.

I prefer May as a character on her own but as Tommy’s partner I definitely prefer grace.
