There's no other drummer on RUclips I'd rather watch for 6 minutes+. I don't listen to this type of music but his drumming is that level after "next level".
@@pointbreak333 of course but this guy's already gene and buddy in one body.....and at 1/4 of their age......dear god hope to see this guy in 40 years.....actualy i think he'll be so fast that we won't see a thing🤣🤣🤣🤣✌
@@adisnikontovic2982 yeah but remember, people like this guy are here thanks to buddy, gene kruppa etc.. they did the steps in the consciousness field before.. :D
this is understatement, dude. Talent is not enough. And talent is something you're being born with, right? What you should praise is AMOUNT OF WORK, probably tens of thousands of hours spent by the drumkit. Cause it's exactly what is really hard part, not the being talented.
@@agneum7838yeah I had natural talent and tempo and knew it would still take a psycho level of practice to get half this good. I play casually and focused on easier work like artificial intelligence software. Literally easier than this level of work to drum at this level.
Everything about Greyson is inspired. His playing, dedication to his craft, his journey and humility. Copeland was right - keep an eye on that Nekrutman kid. :)
Today is the anniversary of Buddy Riches death back in 4/2/87. I remember watching Buddy play during the tour for "The Roar of 74" album during that same year. I was 9,and my mom took me back to his dressing room during the intermission, and ill never forget the encouragement & advice he gave me that evening. If Buddy were alive today,he would love Greysons "take" on jazz drumming & his moeller technique as well. Greyson - i am in awe & admire you so much, and not only for your technique and chops, but mainly for keeping the sacred art of jazz drumming alive and to exposing younger drummers to this dying art form. The sad reality is that most young drummers today couldnt play a basic jazz groove today if their life depended upon it. You wont really understand the capabilities of the drumset as a musical voice until you take some time to study and apply the licks of drummers such as Greyson,Tony Williams,Joe Morello,Elvin Jones,Buddy Rich and Papa Joe Jones to start with. Keep on amazing me,Greyson!!
I'm a guitarist & pianist and never cared much about drums til I found Greyson's channel. His skills are mind-blowing and his passion and energy are infectious. He's inspired me to pick up my instruments again after slacking for several months. He might just be the best drummer of our time.
If a drummer can play jazz at this level, they can play anything ! Greyson is an anomaly in the purest sense and a rare natural talent. Such a class act too.
I've been drumming for almost all my life and have never seen so much talent put in one person. Such inspiration and I'm completely FLABBERGASTED! +1, favorited and subscribed! Look to follow you on all your endeavors
I come back to this video almost once a week, the talent that this man has is incredible. At such a young age, I’m a trumpet player and he has some of the best drumming skills i have ever seen or heard. He his showmanship, is young, enthusiastic, extremely talented and is clearly mastering his work. Unbelievable.
Totally digging your playing since Andrew Rooney 🇳🇿 🥁 reacted to one of your clips. Such energy, enthusiasm, musicianship, and pure JOY in playing music is so *damn* wonderful to see and brings me so much hope! Hoping to see you play live in person some day. Oh, oh and so cool to see your killer brush work!!! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
So fantastic it almost defies description. This is complete mastery of the instrument. This young man WILL BE famous - he is going to the top. Should be already. He'll need an agent. At his age and there is no finer drummer anywhere. It would seem to me that it would be impossible for him to improve. Buddy could not beat him in a duel.
This is ‘Mexicali Nose’ from Buddy’s Big Swing Face album, and Krutzman did a fantastic job, something I thought I’d never see, but Buddy makes it look so effortless and although Krutzman will be, he’s not quite at Rich’s level yet.
i listen and ,as drummer, i play metal and rock, couse is that i love,BUT,this is the greatest type of drumming of all time.and its so good to see a young man nowdays doing this.wish you the best gude!
Thank you for the inspiration, percussion is in very capable hands. I smiled all the way through. The passion for rhythm is strong! Lol how many stands have you actually knocked over! So many brilliant percussionists, like Palmer, have blazed a trail that you follow and surpass. Very articulate; I'm running out of superlatives lol.
Greyson mate, just saw you drumming on Territory for one of my favourite bands ever. Man, I am so proud of you, Congratulations. GO Greyson and Go Sepulturaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
WOW! Just INCREDIBLE!! From your style, your clothes, the obvious dedication and of course the mind blowing talent. Please keep us all posted about your progress. I have to believe there's a big signing coming soon.
This is one of the most incredible things I have ever watched in my life I do not play an instrument I always wished I could but I can't. I simply just don't have it.
New item on my bucket list. See this person play live. 😀 I used to go to iazz festivals and have seem many many people who were great. None this good. Makes it look effortless. Thanks for posting!!!
I’ve had an interest in wanting to play drums for years but never followed through. I’ve been watching a lot of your content lately and the passion you have for drumming is making me want to purchase sticks and a practice pad. Better late than never to get started learning a new skill.
Fantastic montage, Gray showcasing your technique, power, incredible sense of time, and of course that killer left. Such a dedicated and decent chap with utter dedication, you will reap all you deserve. I continue shaking my head and smiling watching all your videos.
Dude I have absolutely no idea of jazz music. But that passion and play on point with the other instruments just made me cry. Wow. You got me. You are really a great musician.

I just watched your performing Caravan and this amazing solo of yours on drumeo. Your playing is really something else. Amazing.

Heart, technique, class, humor, tradition and a stamp from Stewart Copeland! Very cool!

He’s a Nekrutmancer, who magically brings the past drumming masters back to life.
