I have some questions if it’s possible to be answered that’s great! - I will be moving to Mauritius next year from the uk and I wanted to know how it works with renting a house. How much is the costs of deposit ect. Like how much would you need to have to start off with renting a 1 bedroom house including first month rent and deposit. Also as I am coming from the uk and only speaking English I wanted to if it would be hard or easy for me to get a job. And if there are good jobs with good money. Thank you and sorry for all the questions !
Hello De, I'm happy to answer your questions below: 1. Cost of Renting - simply put, you will need at 3 months rental upfront. this is for the Deposit, Agency Fee and your first months rent. Prices vary depending on where you live. You can check out Sotheby's rental offers here: www.sothebysrealty.mu/ 2. Getting a job - this is very challenging, not from a language perspective, but from a Work Permit one. Have a look at the Economic Development Board website here for further info regarding permits. I will say though, the easiest way to get a job is to be here, so I would consider getting the Premium Travel Visa which give you 12 months in Mauritius as a tourist, you could then change your permit status if you get a job. 3. Good jobs & money - this is all about perspective. I assume you are in a career already and would like to grow in that, so you'll need to figure out that one for yourself. I hope this helps ;-)
Thanks for this answer. My husband and I will be moving there before the end of the year when the border opens up. We are coming on the premium visa, only his country was on the list, mine wasn’t but since we are married I am guessing I qualify to come on his premium visa. We have passive income as we both have businesses and work remotely so I don’t think we will be looking for jobs unless something really fascinating pops up. Anyway look forward to meeting you soon and what do people whose countries are not on the list for premium visas do to get one ?
@@crazyonlinedatingstorieswi1677 edbmauritius.org/premium-visa "Note: Individuals from countries not listed below can still come to Mauritius via a Tourist Visa. They can submit their online application for the Premium Visa during their stay in Mauritius." - Seems easy enough. Safe travels

Good morning, you aren't perhaps family of Didier Macquet-Maurel, are you?
Mrs Van, we probably are and I am familiar with the surname, but not sure how we are related. Keep being Kiff
