Korea is such a manufacturing powerhouse. I want US to trade more with the country. I buy a lot of their products here, but very difficult to find KDM products in the US.
I just bought a multi-zone LG ductless heat pump and I am very happy to see it is all made in Korea. Oh, and also have LG OLED TV. Of course I always buy these Korean butane bottles. I tip my buddy to these butane stoves for use in his RV when camping, and he was delighted. I carry one with spare bottles as backup to my propane in my RV, as well as for cooking smoky stuff outside.
I have been to the country a few times, for work and pleasure, and love their cuisines, especially street food like fried chicken.

I believe South Korea is the world's largest producer of disposable butane cylinders.
It's not disposable, it can be refilled from the large propane cylinder using quite simple adapter tube.
@@ПодрывУстоев-к7н Pretty sure (at least in the US) transporting a refilled container across state lines is a felony. It's the same as those coleman stove cans... you can refill them, but it's illegal to. The cans weaken from the repeated stress of being refilled and can leak/explode.
@@taiwanluthiers It's impossible, to distinguish, if this cylinder was refilled or brand new.
Different countries have different regulations for transportation such a goods. For example, we have no limits in transportation of LPG cylinders not more than 5 liters each.
As to refilling. Our hikers do this often. I read some hiking communities sometimes, and there are no complaints about refilled cylinders.

The most impressive of the production system is the manufacturing engineering that goes behind the very complex and yet impeccable processes. Just a single failure of a device can cause the whole line to shut down, with likelihood massive waste. The breakneck pace of the production is most impressive of which incremental constant improvement and tuning leading to this amazing process. I suspect this company manufacture butane canisters not just for Korea domestic consumption but global supply. Additionally I would not be surprised that it contract-manufactures for many brands. With all the butane canisters I bought over the decade I have not seen any that were not made in Korea, except the Japanese leading brands.
I had always wonder the purpose of the notch on the upper lip, and from this video the mystery is answered seeing the L-shape pickup tube inside. It is to ensure only vapor is picked up when the canister is used on a horizontal orientation. These butane small appliances are truly some of the best designed everyday products we all take for granted.
@11:07 of how the bad actor was caught immediately red-handed for trying to sneak out by blending in with the good citizens. Only if US justice system is anything close to this, for weeding out the criminals.
I have bought the Sun brand, and I buys these canisters from Korean supermarket here in the US for the best price, in a carton of 24 @12:37.
They use these cans in Taiwan a lot too, and in fact some restaurants use them for hot pot as well.
The lip not only serve to index the cans to ensure proper positioning (via the notch), but there are also other products such as blowtorch (in Taiwan most blowtorch use these cans too) use the lip as a locking point to ensure a tight seal. Furthermore the diameter of the inner ring where the nozzle is must hold a tight tolerance, as there are also some products that uses the diameter of the inner ring as a means to lock onto the nozzle... As you can see the engineering must be flawless.
Another amazing thing about the manufacture is cost. You don't want the cans to cost too much or else nobody would use them, so the cans have to be cheap enough too.
Global market share is 90%.

Yea the filling head, the lip around the top, and the inner diameter where the filling head is all must hold a tight tolerance as products are designed to latch onto them. Maybe not the stove shown in the video but there are other products that use features on the can as a means to lock onto it.

But to actually produce and install it, then fine tune and calibrate it to operate flawlessly over such a huge area on two levels for hours and days is utterly remarkable!

Korea actually produces 90%+ of the Global usage of these Butane portable gas cans.
Next time you see one in your country. Check where it's made - 90% chance it will say made in Korea.
That's why they had to produce 700,000 cans per day.

К слову о производстве. Захожу в магазин и вижу несколько баллончик в газа на ветрине и все с иероглифами, при учёте что я живу в России))
А все что без иероглифов, все равно разлиты где-то в Китае по заказу какой-то компании.
Все что продаётся в баллончиках с газом это из Кореи, Китай не изготавливает такое

@@UU자적 Thanks! I was sure they fill gas through the big hole (you can see this hole at 8:35), before installing the small valve, just because it's much faster. I was wrong.

2 противоречия:
1-с нашим уровнем "рас3,14здяйства" этот завод взлетел бы на воздух в первый-же день, когда какой-нить полудурок там закурил.
2-когда хоть один элемент в линии сломался-она остановилась-бы навсегда, ибо наши могут чинить только кувалдой и монтировкой, там где нужен съёмник и пресс.
Улетели-бы все подшипники, потянув за собой деформацию направляющих конвейера, в итоге стопор, сбой и взрыв газа.
.
Нашим только гвоздильные станки обслуживать... Гвозди кривые спишут на нововведение ноу хау технолоджи.

What was the time span to produce 700,000 cans? 3-4 hours? How many cans per year are produced?
It says per day, so I'm assuming 24 hours.
That amounts to over 8 per second. 😨

5 лет работал электронщиком на автоматизированном производстве с гооораздо менее автоматизированном тех процессе, все станки увязаны в одну линию, если вылетает один-становится весь цех, где 24 часа работы тогда было порядка 120т у. е.
Времени давалось на нахождение и устранение неисправности 8-10 минут... Если больше прибегал с бешеными глазами начальник цеха, 30 мин простоя-приходил сам директор.
Работа ну её нафиг, когда всё работает, то да, грубо говоря ходишь датчики от пыли протираешь и хомутами проводки от них связываешь, где лопнул, но как только ломается, даже поссать не отпустят на пять минут, хоть в штаны.
Наладчикам(механикам) - чутка проще, а электронщиком-хоть застрелись.
Ушёл... задолбало, в том числе и отношение к тебе руководства, так-знать тебя не знаем, ниже говна и как о тряпку ноги вытирают, как что-то серьёзное ломается, чуть ли не на колени перед тобой становятся и сам директор за руку здоровается и просит с умоляющим взглядом, обещая золотые горы и прибавку к ЗП, естественно после восстановления работоспособности-о тебе резко все забывают и ты опять гавно, дармоед и нахлебник.

У нас своих производителей хватает . Единственно много раз сталкивался с проблемой что много газа закачивают . Да и чего его жалеть .
