We were in Paje and Nungwi on vacation last year (2021). We fell in love with the place, we are planning to go back again this year (2022). Zanzibar is a must go place.
Wow. This is a spectacular place. The pool is gorgeous and the surroundings are to die for. I am adding Zanzibar to my bucket list and I plan to visit there in the next year or so.
I loved the soft browns and biscuit tones of the room. The tile work in the bathroom was just various shades of brown, but still graphic and artistic. I appreciated the use of black and white photographs as art pieces. In this colour scheme, bold colours would not have worked as well. This makes for a very relaxing place to rest. The garden walkways are so inviting. Even I wouldn't mind clunking along the pathways with my cane. And for me, the view of that beautiful stretch of ocean is the reward. I was born in Nova Scotia, and was regularly taken to the Atlantic sea coast for dunking. I miss the ocean, but these videos help. But I bet the waters around this resort are a lot warmer than the liquid nitrogen that swirls up on the Atlantic beaches.
Hi, After following and loving your channel for quite some time, i thought it was about time to comment! Looks like you had an absolutely fantastic vacation in Zanzibar!! All 4 of the resorts look so amazing. The big highlight is of course mnemba Island. So nice and peaceful. The water just looks amazing in all those shades of blue! Brendan
you sir, are an amazing videographer from drone shots to subject close ups. I love the juxtaposition of the ambient music with the occasional clink of a plate or splash in the pool- superb editing. It is a pity the sandy area below the pool wasn't finished as it looks like an integral part of the resort...
It’s a beautiful place to stay. Was there in April. The room was excellent the people are superb and the food was delicious. Would recommend to family and friends.
Another excellent review and video. The drone shots really add to the content. Zanzibar looks like a lesson in contrasts. I follow some 'backpacker' vlogs who have shown the other side of the island. Thanks for taking me upscale.
I’ll be staying next door in the Gemma dell est in 3 weeks time I plan to pop in for a visit to do my usual work stuff as both hotels are owned by the Rui hotel chain now,,there’s many beautiful islands in the Indian Ocean and Zanzibar and Nungwi beach have to be the most beautiful of the lot,and I totally agree sunset is absolutely beautiful,,,,
This is like being in the south of France: European gardens, conventional facilities and hideous decoration. Why travel to Africa to have more of the same? Sorry, but I watched your videos on the Soneva experience before and the barefoot luxury and now I’m hooked on that!
I think Hideaway of Nungwi is the only place I've been to on your channel videos. We're returning to Zanzibar next year and may try Gemma d'ell Est which is next to HoN.
My family and I will be going this summer to the adjacent hotel (La Gemma del' Est), hopefully it 'll be as good or better than this one. We really do like your camerawork and carefully chosen diversity of luxurious destinations all over the world. Some of them are within our range, others are (a bit) too expensive for a familytrip. Nevertheless, keep on enjoying the good life. Greetings from Antwerp.
When it comes to those dancing performances, what would be even better is if they could get the hotel guests involved (especially the younger ones), maybe teaching them how to dance East African-style.
At the 12 min. point in the video you briefly touch on the issue of the on-going renovations at this hotel. One of the comments posted on Trip Advisor mention this renovation. Aside from superficial areas that appear to be “shabby” (like the lounge area near the swimming pool), were there any more serious examples such an inefficient air conditioning or bad food, poor service, etc., that in my opinion could really constitute being “shabby”? Thank you.
I wasn't a fan of the resort's cuisine (food was not bad, but not fine dining) and the hotel's clientele was rather loud and rude from time to time (it felt more like a Club Med than an exclusive luxury hotel).
Beautiful beach and vistas, although not private. The resort lost me right at the moment of the water entertainment and then the Michael Jackson impersonator. Native, culturally themed entertainment in the evening might be more appropriate. Underwhelming food. Magnificent setting in search of an identity and brand in my opinion. Looking forward to your review but I can already guess.
Do they speak English? I’m not a pool person so is the beach area done. Do they look down on people who bring something to float on while your in the water? Do they expect America money? It looks so peaceful.
Very enjoyable video as always. I won't comment on the positive as it's been very clear that you're capable of providing beautiful and informative videos. Instead, let me comment on a couple of negatives. I may sound like a broken record, but I feel food hasn't gotten much of a focus in this video either. Don't get me wrong, the vistas, and the hotel areas and spaces, and certainly the sunset, get the VIP treatment from you. Food seems rushed. Also, the drone scenes are certainly nice to see. For some reason they appeared a bit white and washed out. Also, slightly rushed, moving from scene to scene. I'm sure you'll be eventually be able to masterfully use these too to your video's advantage. Thanks!
Thank you for your kind comment, Thomas. Food wasn't the hotel's strongest point. You are correct about the drone images which are a little white. For a moment, I doubted including them in the clip. It was the second time I used the drone and I had put the settings not entirely correct. The good news is that I am used now to my drone, and I believe my next drone images (Soneva Kiri in Thailand) are amazing :-)
Hmmmm. Seems a bit too “Club Med (ish)” for my tastes ... especially if the tariff is reflecting the fact that they consider themselves a “luxury “ property. 🤔
Nice video, but the hotel is not beautiful. I have stayed at royal zanzibar beach and resort. The pools, the suites and the restaurants are better than this hideaway of nungwi resort and spa.
The worst organisation ever. Waste of money. Hotel itself its beautiful and the beach. Thats it. They are not willing to help, they just smile but not helping people at all.

Staying at this hotel in December and I can’t wait
Ha. The same, but this year :) How it was?

MagIcal and beautiful setting. Tranquility ❤️

Really an entertaining Video! always love what you do. Thank you for sharing the great experience! i am always one of your fan :)
28:39 The first real glimpse of you. Finally we get to see the man behind the camera.

It is fantastic property and the drone footage was nice .
Hermoso!, muchas gracias por compartirnos. Dios le bendiga
Love Zanzibar love ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow finally a resort with a gorgeous beach and no coral. Book me. I want to go ASAP.
This is beautiful, I would love to go there 😍
What day time activities do they offer ?
No problems getting a drone on the plane and into Zanzibar?
I did not encounter any issues at all
@@luxurytravelexpert thank you so much... I've been stressing over the very idea of possibly not getting through with my Karma Drone.
I love the pool
On my way to this hotel in 2 weeks for All inclusive 7 nights. Hope it is worth it.
When it comes to those dancing performances, what would be even better is if they could get the hotel guests involved (especially the younger ones), maybe teaching them how to dance East African-style.
I was ... nice location, nice hotel, great staff!
great staff ????
And yet another gorgeous interior in Tanzania. 😍 But seems a bit simpler and not so high end as the previous ones. Still nice. 😁
Looked liked half the people at the pool were on their friggin' phones. Good grief! No one just relaxes anymore?
Francis Bagbey maybe they don't know how to ?
It's the same everywhere. At mealtimes on holiday you see some couples who are mainly messing about on their phone when not eating.
All of your videos are very Inspiring. This place is in my Bucket List. Could you tell me when is the best time to visit? Blessess...
The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the long dry season (June to September) or the short dry season (January & February).
the Luxury Travel Expert Thank you for the advise. Keep sharing all the beauty of our World.
Amaizing video 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

the Luxury Travel Expert: Thank you for your candor! I think I’ll stay away from this place!
Yay for the eco toiletries :) Why is it so rare to find them in hotels?
Such a shame that the hotel didn't live up to expectations as the location is superb!

Sehr schick. Denkt man gar nicht. Das es so etwas in einer doch so armen Gegend gibt.

have you been to Bhutan? landing in paro airport will be amazing
You’re always in such cool places. What are your top three places, if you could live anywhere?
1. Soneva Kiri (Thailand)
2. Soneva Jani (Maldives)
3. Soneva Fushi (Maldives)
:-)
the Luxury Travel Expert how about to live though?
Cape Town would be my favorite place on earth to live (on condition that they fix the water crisis), followed by Vancouver.
the Luxury Travel Expert good to know, thanks so much. Cheers.
Soy de Argentina! Excelentes tus videos!!!
Btw, what do you work as and why do you travel so much?
Hmmmm. Seems a bit too “Club Med (ish)” for my tastes ... especially if the tariff is reflecting the fact that they consider themselves a “luxury “ property. 🤔
Which Drone do you use?
TheGreekPilot he stated in the video that it was the Mavic Pro .
Was here in 2015 for my wife and I's honeymoon. It is the closest thing you can find to heaven on earth in my opinion
How much would it cost for 1 week stay
1:54 nice, how come you uploaded 3 days later, btw?
I was abroad, and WiFi was not strong enough to upload the clip :-)
Beautifull!!!
Beautiful...
thanks, cool😊
very cute
nice place in zanzibar
at ruclips.net/video/Bkx-TJIpMNg/видео.html - you noted check in at two desks However there is 3 desks there - its needs corrected to show that
Nice video, but the hotel is not beautiful. I have stayed at royal zanzibar beach and resort. The pools, the suites and the restaurants are better than this hideaway of nungwi resort and spa.
I agree, this is not the best hotel (although it is located on an amazing beach).
The worst organisation ever. Waste of money. Hotel itself its beautiful and the beach. Thats it. They are not willing to help, they just smile but not helping people at all.
looks good, but not the nicest guests i guess ;)
Guests at the resort were quite rude indeed
