- We take the all new Blue Wave 2800 Makaira with twin 300's from Fort Laurdale to Bimini, Bahamas 2021. We knew the waves weren't going to be nice to us, but we pushed forward. We crossed with 4 jet skis, yes, 4 jet skis crossed from Fort Laurdale to Bimini, Bahamas; and a Yamaha 242.
The crossing wasn't pleasant, but it's all worth it when you get there! We stayed at a house in Resort World and conveniently had a slip out the back door. We fished a little bit but the weather wasn't very good so we visited the Bimini shipwreck SS Sapona, saw stingrays and turtles, then went over to Honeymoon Harbor to feed and swim with the sharks.
