Great job on the GTR project car Daryl and team!!!!! I would personally switch the paint color from black to midnight purple 2 with the C-West bodykit on along the HRE 447 rims and spoiler as well.
I've always been a fan of the 2 fast 2 furious Skyline from small, The silver with blue graphics and neon just look really cool, especially at night. Funny thing is the car was originally Black when Craig bought it, The Blackbird. Keep up the Amazing Work guys!! Love the videos🔥
Keep it the same as the f&f one. Can’t wait for the kemary, I’ve had 7 of the standard ones in Australia, 2 2 doors 5 4 doors, (wish I had 1 now) called 240 k they had the 2.4 6 cylinder same as the z car so I put the twin carbs on them, bit of tuning, good exhaust & away we go! 😁
This looks beautiful the inner wheel wells look like they are complicated that man is a true artisan. One question let's say I wanted to book this build and keep it pretty simple interior and bay side blue on the exterior with the kit shown in the video. And same horsepower 500 or so. With you sourcing the donor GTT? How much would that cost ball park I know everything can change depending on options. But a ballpark price to aspire too would be helpful. Keep up the great videos and amazing cars coming.
We have a red GT-T for sale right now if you want to paint it Bayside? If not it'll cost you about $65k but that also depends on where the market lands when you get ready to buy.
In order to get everything spot-on correct, what have you sourced so far neon lighting wise for it?... I know the Streetglow Gold-series kits are still available new from Streetglow, but have you found what you need for all the interior true neon accent lighting yet?... To me, the lighting is what really 'made the car'... The blue lights were by far my favorite part of the entire car haha... Any luck getting the lights yet?

It's difficult to make a recognizable replica of a car that is not as recognizable though. So most people tend to slap the paint and graphics on it. We love your idea though. Or some of us do anyway.

Now I'm even more excited to see the final outcome for the 2F2F Skyline GTR. 500 - 600 HP on an RB25NEO ain't bad, and in my opinion, I think it's the best sweet spot for Inline 6s. Will you replicate the engine sound from the movie as well? I'd go for a Millennium Jade with white and black graffiti graphics/livery on it. Keeping the kit on with probably a Voltex GT Wing on it instead of the C-West. swapping the HRE Rims with a Skyline R33 GT-R Rims then I'm good

I just drove the 4 door GTX non turbo R34 and man… from factory, the skylines, even the “old man” spec, feel super low down and very light. Extremely gutless though compared to my manual swapped aristo with the stock twins. I definitely hope to drive a turbo 34 one day. Stick to the iconic livery (even if Craig hated it back in the day 😅)
The R34 in any trim is fun as heck to drive. Alex prefers the Toyotas but can't deny the feel of an RB. The 2Fast 2Furious Skyline is one of the better looking builds they put together for the movies.
Do it once do it right. Make it that absolute beast of a tribute build like the Supra. Also, I wanted to tell Alex when I saw him at TORC on Saturday that I like Sushi. But he was chatting it up with Taka both times I passed by the Apexi booth.
$150k for an R34 GT-R seems really conservative these days. I remember when Motorex was near my house and they were going for $100k 20 years ago. I'm seeing GT-R's going for $200-350k. Toprank currently has a Kenmeri for $140k. Here in Cali, this is before tax, doc, title, and modifying to meet CARB compliance which could add an additional $30-40k. Anyways, love what you guys are doing so far!

We never said no. It has a lot of events locally at the moment. Maybe if someone over in the UK wants to sponsor an even there we can arrange something, but just paying to ship it there usually isn't cost effective.
The engine noise was a single turbo while the movie car was twin turbo. So we are going to do our best to make it sound just as good as the movie soundtrack.
with this car you can go many different ways with it. you can paint it black and have the original look of the original hero car (black bird) and get that look. or you can do craig lieberman custom candy blue with or without the red graphics. and then you can do the 2 fast 2 furious look. either way you can’t go wrong with this car, it looked good in all of those versions that was on the car

Aren't you the same Darryl that supplied the Bayside blue R34's for Fast 4? You're company was called Kaizo at the time? Then the government got involved and had some of the cars exported for not being imported legally since the Hero car was a GTR with GTR engine and transmission. Hence why that car is in Europe now? However other R34's such as the GTT with the GTR awd swap built by ILL Garage got to stay? Also the R34 body on the air cooled VW Beetle pan that was used as the "sorry car" stunt car also got to stay since those cars didn't use factory style engines?

Yeah I'm not 100% confident on it being tinted carbon myself but I could swear I've heard it before recently about the 2F2F GT-R. I know for sure Craig would know since it was his GT-R they used in 2F2F.
Ok I found it in his video officially from 4 years ago. It was indeed a blue wrap because he said it was a gripe of his, alongside putting muscle car stripes down the hood. But now I'm curious where I had heard it was blue tinted carbon. I don't go looking up details on these cars anywhere outside of where they originated. Maybe it was a mistake said by someone in a dvd extra on 2f2f who wasn't Craig or something? But regardless I did find it on on Craig's channel and it was a blue wrap.

The movie car was a twin turbo, but the sound they used in post was single turbo. So it's tough to get it exact.

It's not Bayside blue. It's the same blue as the graphics. Not sure on a tinted carbon either. We will have to check on that to make sure.
