My son in law was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer March 11 2022 he has been both vegetarian and vegan his whole life , he has had chemo and a Whipple procedure and has survived thus far , his Dr's say his diet and attitude is why he is still with us and is doing so well he has regained his weight and is working full time again, he is 43 .
I’m glad your has been able to regain his weight and be able to work again! Would you be able to answer some questions. Did he eat and eggs for the bulk of his life? Was his vegan diet low fat and whole food plant based? Did he get enough sunlight? Was he overweight? And did he had a sedentary lifestyle? I understand cancer can’t always be attributed to lifestyle, I am just intrigued since I’ve been vegan for 8 years and half of that time I ate mostly processed foods
@@carlinho1516 Plant based very unprocessed ,oved from Croatia to the US ten years ago , weight was 170 dropped to 130, slowly regaining , active and outdoorsy , family history of cancers,
Dr. Weiss is Awesome! Love his farm apple sent to you. 💝 So sweet and kind!! Chef AJ- I look forward to every episode you are devoting to Cancer guests. Thank you for this gift!💝 You are not alone! Many of us looking forward to these. 💝🙏🌸
I recognized that Gold Rush apple as soon as you held it up! I buy 40 lbs from our local farmers’ market in SE PA every November and make Instant Pot applesauce for months. It’s delicious. Properly stored I’ve had the apples last until June. So fun to hear that Dr Weiss is growing them!
It’s great that the doctor grows unique varieties of apples and without pesticides! Even in Southern California, one can grow delicious Fuji apples in some inland and valley areas.
Great explanation about Lp(a)! Everyone should get the blood test. If you have elevated level then you should encourage your family members to also get the blood test.
I so love listening to Dr Weiss, thank you for having him on. If you have not tried the Sugar bee apple you are in for a treat, even better than cosmic crisp which is also excellent 😊
I understood males optimal weight: 5" = 100# + 6# every inch. At 6'5" 100+(17"x6#)=202#. I would be interested in your input on this 'basic' formula. TY for an excellent show today!
I have an elevated Lp(a) and it has doubled recently, even after switching to a plant -based diet. Per my cardiologist, there are likely other factors that caused to it go up, but certainly the plant-based diet in my case hasn’t caused any decrease. It doesn’t hurt to try, but you have to do the labs to see how your body responds.
Wow! That goes against what some lipid specialists like Dr. Tom Dayspring says that LP a stays the same after childhood. He gave a good explanation of Lp a on the Proof podcast with Simon Hill…good luck with your plant based dining! I have heart disease in my family so I am also sticking with plants!
I'm listening. Someone wrote a comment re: the 6'5'' man and his weight being too high... I heard 195 lbs, which Dr. Weiss said s a BMI or 24. At the boarder of "OK"... around min 55. Go find it. Naturally some people have more muscle than fat and the other way around. Maybe you misheard what he said, I cannot find your comment. I know a german-philipino mixed male who is a good 6'4''' and is skinny - he had a very narrow build, small muscles and looks soft. If you are a belly fat storer... then even he might have too much body fat.
I think it’s totally insane that he said a man that’s 6’5”at 175 is overweight everyone is different some have more muscle. I think a lot of vegans are to thin !!

I love your sparkly hat!
Loved the mindfulappel tasting ❤
The other thing is…gold rush keep well into late spring! Keep cool in plastic bag..I’ve kept some for 4- 5 months and they get sweeter with time
Good to know!
Gold rush are my favorite..I just got 20 lbs. Of them from North Star Orchards Here in Pennsylvania
GA has some great tasting apples grown there also!! which i can only get at the farmers market and not in the stores

Plant based. Niacin and oat bran for Lp(a)Dr. Kowalski book: 8 week cholesterol cure. When taking Niacin liver monitoring a must.

It is not called Rocky Mountain Police in Canada
Royal Canadian Mounted Police , otherwise referred to as RCMP ❤
Cosmic crisp apples are like that hard and sweet
Also my favorite and you can buy organic:)
Love them

HS CRP test for cardiac health
What don’t doctors recommend this test routinely?
Chef AJ, you looks so healthy! I want a piece of that apple 🍎
Dr Robert Morse ND had a pancreatic cancer client who he healed with a raw fruit and herb protocol.
What about a c-score test as a predictor?
AJ, the Lord marked you for Greatness! and He left his mark on you to say, "She's mine".

I'll listen for it. 175 Kilos definitely overweight, but not 175 lbs. If he really said this, he must have misspoken or misunderstood something.
195 was stated
211 would be overweight
Royal Canadian Mounted Police ....
The apple reminds me of the Asian apple/pear.
Is it a genome
80 F? Good to know there are people who have the funds to hear their homes.
