    That's gotta be the fattest back wheel I've ever seen. ⚙️ And I thought those types of wheels are only meant for semi-trucks. 🚛 But I won't judge. Good work there. ✌🏻

    How much air pressure do the front shocks use? If not too high, I was wondering about fitting an air tank so you could control the ride height while riding it. Until you ran out of pressure at least. I looked up Hutchins Engineering (we could see it on the vehicles in the workshop) and it didn't say anything about motorcycle building. They'll need to update the website methinks.

    • @DktheWelder
      @DktheWelder  3 года назад

      About 80psi gives a good ride height, I am thinking the same way I have some little valves and might use an old fire extinguisher as the pressure tank. Haha a lot of different jobs get done at Hutchins

    Don't you have to remove rust and paint before welding or is that just some sort of myth? You seem to be working with welding so you should know? Great video! Looking forward to the next one!

    • @DktheWelder
      @DktheWelder  3 года назад +1

      No you don’t need too. For mig welding you need to remove thick paint or rust, for tig welding it has to be super clean bare metal , for stick welding it will burn through thick paint and rust pretty easily, but a bit of clean up always helps

    Id suggest gearing down, about halfway from where it is now. (Or at least make it run better. ;)
    Still need more reduction tho.

    • @DktheWelder

      I kinda felt like the gearing was pretty good . I guess it wouldn’t hurt to hear it lower , need more test rides!

Did not have my youtube chanel back then to document it but i ended up welding a atv front end to the scooters frame.. drives like a dream and used it as a daily for some time aswell!!! But love building and engineering things much like the way you are!!! Keep up the good vids and know i am subscribed and bell'd!!!!!!

    I would recommen a normal suspension for the front wheels. Cheap and easy and also adjustable. Would like to have a testride when finished. 👍

    Should see if you can get it running on hydrogen 👌 this thing is so cool man.
    I have 22 Acres in whenuakite with a paddock car track if you wanna bring it over, film it with my drone and what not?

    • @DktheWelder
      @DktheWelder  3 года назад +1

      Yeah that sounds like a great idea! I need to get it working better first and reliable then that would be cool with the drone filming . I have messed with the hydrogen before it is hard to make motors run on it lol

    • @offgridas
      @offgridas 3 года назад

      @@DktheWelder yeah same bro, I built a simple reactor about 13 years ago with a friend, we managed to blow the garage up and permanently fuck my hearing in one ear haha. But it definitely produced hydrogen, I saw a guy get a dirt bike running on it in a video yesterday which has revived my interest, and you seem like the sort of person who might actually get it to work.
      And yeah when you get it running right hmu man, would be sick to see it in person
