You haven't turned on performance mode. GPU is only drawing 35 watt. It should be 60 to 80 watts.
Thank you for your comment.
I saw somebody mention that in the live video, that's why I mentioned in this video that I'll be doing more testing with Performance mode on. Hopefully by then I'll have a laser thermometer to check the surface temperature.
friend what your thoughs about laptop after 3 week, any problem that you found out? what about overheating, fan noise, ecosystem, thank you in advance. i am still stuck between Book 4 ultra and Yoga Pro 9i / Asus zephyrus G16...
bro love these samsung reviews your sound is much better in this video sounds like alot less reverb from the room 👍
Thank you for your support :). Yeah I'm loving the Premiere Pro Dialogue+noiseremoval option.
Great stuff. Thanks for the review. Subbed
Thank you for the sub and for your encouraging comment! :)
great thanks a lot for reviewing and i wait for next videos
Thank you so much for your supportive comments!
Will you review the base model? Cheers 🤙
Amazing video. Looking forward to seeing the next tests, especially the performance mode to see if there is a drastic change in FPS.
Given that many people compare this laptop to a Macbook, does it feel great to carry around and work on it anywhere?
Thank you for your comment!
I'm just waiting on Amazon to deliver the Laser thermometer (I had to cancel the order and re-order as "your order is taking longer to arrive"). My plan is do the tests of Normal vs. Performance while measure temperature differences as it is a big concern from the comments that I'm reading.
Now for the feel.. I freaking love this laptop! I don't remember the last time I felt "happy" having a laptop on my lap. I've been using the G15 laptop and something always felt off when I was looking at the screen :D
Thank you for your reply! I was wondering if G15 or other similar laptop would feel good compared to Book4.
Cannot wait to see these tests!@@mohamadelhout
Do you have much experience with the latest MacBook Pro models? I'm a designer and video editor, and I'm working very comfortably on an M1 Max MacBook Pro at the moment. I use a Samsung phone though, so I'm thinking about swapping to the GalaxyBook Ultra. Keen for your thoughts!
Me too
It has been around 5 years since I last used a macbook pro. I did some benchmarking on the Ultra and it doesn't look like it can take on the latest MacBook Pro. Keep in mind that I'm reviewing the Ultra 7 model with the RTX4050 so I'm sure the higher end model will be better.
I am a newbie video editor.. heck newbie RUclipsr as well from what you can see :P.. but the laptop works well with 4k files, not as good as my i9 RTX3090 PC but it's good enough for working while traveling.
I hope this helped and didn't cause more confusion hehe.
@@mohamadelhout that does help, thank you mate! You've got a follower here. 🙏
I think tekken 8 would be a great gaming test example for this specific laptop to see if it can handle top tier gaming
Hi mohammad, what about the Ultra 9 version. what do you think about it? how much more powerful is it?
Depends on what you plan on doing with the laptop.. Like top 1-2 priorities?
For me, I couldn't justify the price difference considering that my top priorities are:
1. Light laptop with beautiful screen ✅️
2. Powerful enough to do 4k video editing while traveling ✅️
I'll try to do some light gaming but not necessarily CallOfDuty or something like that. For those games, I have an i9 12gen PC with an RTX3090 😆
Hi, I've been looking for a slim laptop for architecture. I will be using it for 3D modeling and rendering. Do you think the Samsung Book 3 Ultra or the Samsung Book 4 Ultra is a good fit?
I only have the Book4 ultra.. Yes! You'd love every second of using it! I had buyers remorse after buying a strong gaming laptop a couple of years ago but with a boring screen. However, with the Book4, I'm loving it! ❤️
I'd consider the Ultra 9 version if money isn't an issue. Can't hurt to have a better GPU and more RAM + you'd be future proofing your laptop.
Well done, sir!
Thank you! 😊
Try tekken 8 as we'll. it is a very frame dependent because if frames suddenly drop or are not good enough then you could lose matches.😊
Thanks Mohamad for your review. Can you tell us if the screen wobble has improved from last generation?
My pleasure. Thank you for your comment!
I can't comment on the book3 as I didn't get my hands on it. That said, I don't have any wobbling on my book4. It's sturdy.
Can you do a comparison between normal mode and pwrformance mode while gaming. Love your videos
Thank you for your supportive comment! :)
I'll do that. I'm just waiting on Amazon to deliver the Laser thermometer (I had to cancel the order and re-order as "your order is taking longer to arrive"). Great review, keep it up.
Actually numpad is awful on laptops... I don't know why they are doing this.
What about fan noise while you video editing / gaming and when just surfing, watching videos? Is it loud, is it hearable / uncomf?
Hearable when I pause the game but then fades away when playing... but not uncomfortable at all (sorry for the double negative 😅).
Someone did mention that I should put the laptop in Performance mode to really push it so I guess I'll try that and report back with a video. I'm also installing few other games to test with.
Re: numpad. Exactly! I find that I don't even use it as subconsciously I go for the top row.. That said, I do use the numpad on my PC keyboard... so I agree.. what is it doing on a laptop?.. imagine if they put a couple of nice speakers on the sides instead.
@@mohamadelhout as new g16 did... but low W and not samsung ecosystem, but still great device. I am still leaning towards Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i :) overall
@@mohamadelhoutcan you please tell if there is some screen wobbling? as was problem in book 3 ultra... is it viable to use it while lying in the bed (my main usecase of macbook 14 :)) thank you andvance friend.
And how much problematic is this numpad it is impossible to adopt to position of keyboard, or you adopt to it by time?
And is there windows hello / fingerprint?
@Promikes no windows hello for some reason but fingerprint is very responsive!
No wobbling.. I love it.
As for the numbad.. I was right, I'm already getting more comfortable and upping to my normal typing speed. I'm still not so used to the track pad as it sometimes registers my left click as a right click.. I gotta do some research to see if I set up some margins or just get used to it with time.
Hope this helps! 🙏
will this laptop work well for a trading station (paired daisychain )with my four monitors?
2 monitors 27inch (1920x1080) and 2 monitors 32 inch (3840 x 2160))
I can't test that atm, but if you do that, make sure you get a good docking station.
Now if you would've asked to do your setup with any gaming, I'm certain that would be a terrible experience..
Do you currently have your setup with a laptop? Do you mind sharing the specs so that I can give a better guesstimate? I'm asking because I ran 3x4k screens on a PC with RTX2070.. working was fine, but gaming was terrible.
@@mohamadelhout looking to pair my next laptop with max 4x2k monitor. dont want to use a docking station if gpu suport 4 monitors (acordig specs).
I paired for test Dell xps 16 together with 2 FHD 27inch monitors benq2785 (daisychain) with no docking station.
Now I am looking to buy a 18 inch gaming laptop(like razorblade 18 or aorus 18 or maybe asus vivobook 16 inch. all of them with discrete rtx gpu but if this setup wont work I will buy a desktop. Not sure what specs to look for without wasting money. All platforms are running in browser. I will never using this for gaming or video\photo editing.but sometimes have youtube and extra 20-30 webpages open simultaneously.
trading in browser need for following multiple graphs on one second bar charts
@LinUx-dc3mj while I can't comment on the daisychain setup vs. a good docking station, I'd definitely say go for a 32GB RAM laptop.. those 1 sec candle charts can eat up your RAM quickly... so if Samsung is what you are considering, go for the ultra 9 model.
That said, if you don't plan on moving the laptop that much, why not opt for a desktop? You can buy a great pre-built laptop for half the price of the Ultra 9 (I hope that Samsung doesn't see this reply 🤣).
I hope this helps!
They should have made the trackpad spen compatible at least.
That would've been cool considering the size of that thing!
Because the screen is so beautiful, do you think it hurts ur editing when viewing the finished product on another monitor?
Never really thought about that tbh. First, I'm still a new RUclipsr so my editing skills (especially color correction) are still low. Second, I think most viewers now are watching on phones or capable TVs with beautiful screens. But that's what I'm thinking; I could be wrong:)
I'm deciding between the Book 4 Ultra and the new Zephyrus G16 4070.
The only concern about these thin portable laptop is the heat management under constant load. I have seen underwhelming results on the G16 4070 and 4090 that the bottom temperature could rise up to 60°C (even with liquid metal), and Samsung is not known for their cooling either. I think it'd be nice to also check on the charger temperature under sustained load.
Very informative content anyways 👏🏼
4070 ultra is a beast
Thank you for your comment!

I did fire (no pun intended) the performance mode today and the laptop did feel unusually hot.
hopefully one day I can afford to get the higher performance laptops to test ;) .. maybe Samsung will notice this channel one day and decide to help with that... a new RUclipsr can dream ;)
@@curtfloyd5068 The upgrade in GPU TDP is much appreciated. Though I have a strong impression that Samsung is just phoning it in the Book 4 Ultra. Would have ordered it without any consideration if they have the slightest change in chassis design/ improvement in key travel or IO-ports🥲
I returned the g16. Doubt, I'm returning this ultra. Had it for 2 days, and I'm blown away, especially in performance mode. And the touchscreen omg makes everything so much easier and a delight to use. Trust me bro I had my doubts, but they're gone.
You should add time stamps on the video.
Will do! :) Thank you for your comment.
I'm upgrading from my surface book 2 , should I get the m1 or m2 macbook pro or samsung book 3 ultra , 360 or book 4 ultra ?
Give me more details please 😁 what do you want to use it for?
@mohamadelhout emulation gaming, integration with my s23 ultra and tab s8 , watching RUclips, Microsoft teams, zoom, shopify business etc
@morm2173 I haven't used a Mac in ages, but anything gaming related wasn't fun.. you'd have to install some emulators, one is called wine I believe.
For such games and what you'd be working on, the book 3 ultra or 360 pro is more than enough..
Final filter decision: 360 pro.. you'd have enough RAM (16) so it's future proof and it would meet your idea of integrating your S23 ultra with your laptop.. think writing notes on your s23 ultra in notes app, then picking up your 360Pro, unfolding it, and continuing your hand notes there.
Hopefully this helps 🙏 😊.
(Edit: you already have a tablet so maybe the S-Pen isn't critical, but personally, the 360pro would mean carrying one less device with me).
@@mohamadelhout I have to test the pro and ultra at best buy
@@mohamadelhout another thing I'm realizing is how important 32 gb RAM is
Why not S - Pen and 360* hinge along with all specs.....
It'll become an all round machine 😢.....
That's what I'm saying! That would have been so cool!
@@mohamadelhoutAgreed. The irony is: Samsung calls this the "Ultra". By definition, an "Ultra" should have every feature in the entire range of the Galaxy Book series. The lack of support for the S-pen is the reason why I am not getting this laptop (I don't need the 360° hinge because I draw on my Wacom Cintiq propped up like an easel.)
You're still only one who made review on this laptop)) I don't understand, this is so unpopular?
Ehh I think we need DB metrics under pressure and while.surfing. and temperature of the bottom and keyboard)) to compare this to competitors g16, yoga pro 9i
Yeah I don't know what's going on. I've been using the laptop almost daily and I love its feel. I haven't been able to game on it much since I started a new job so my "aspiring" RUclips career had to take the backseat a little bit 😅.
Temperature isn't bad even under pressure, but the fans do like to make their presence noticed 🙃.
Thanks again for your comments Promikes. I hope to see you around in next videos once life stabilizes a bit around here.
