It's great to see the observation deck has opened again in Zurich and the airport offer many cool behind the scenes tours to the public. ZRH Airport set a great example for many other airports to follow in developing general public's interest in aviation. Hope to see ZRH in better times ahead!
@@SamChui well you said many times and I can see it yourself better in a airplane and in a airport than at your home. BTW, Sam, has covid-19, really make you miss the before covid-19 world particularly aviation?
To see the edelweiss flowers in their natural environment, you need to go quite high up in the Alps, above the forest line and below the bare rock line, approx 1800-2500m high. At least in the Alps they can be found pretty much everywhere, don't know about the other mountain ranges.
Hey Sam, In 2012 As an aircraft engineer I had the opportunity to be in Zurich for my A340 & A330 RRT700 training. The country and SRT has been close to heart. Its great to Zurich Airport again through your lense. Aviation will prosper again. Peace ✌ and safe to all , From Malaysia 🇲🇾.
Love this airport! ❤️ it’s a weird feeling that I see everyone in the video nearly every day or two while I’m at Zurich airport 😅 amazing people that work at Zurich airport that are alway’s ready to help and always really kind.
Once again an exclusive video by Sam! no doubt the best aviation vlogger! I am short of words to express him! Keep it up! Maybe a behind the scenes video on Mumbai or Delhi airport?
This is Jens from Zurich. @sam you did a great video, I recognized the public places, passed them so many times. Thanks for the tour of the hidden secrets of Zurich airport.
Used to pass through ZRH every single day for abou 5 years on my way to work from Embrach to Zurich city. So it was such an interesting time to see it transform from an old airport to the state of the art it is today. Thank you Sam, hope you liked Switzerland!
Hi Sam. Thank you for keeping us in the loop. I have learned so much about travel from you and hope to put that knowledge to use some day. Its always nice to see you randomly meeting viewers along the way. God bless you and family.
Awesome video coverage, Sam ! At 2:56 and 5:38 my eyes suddenly become watery, my heart beats faster, come ...... baby , come, fly again, fly freely into the sky .... ohhh, I miss those occasions, miss the sights, miss the sounds, miss the feelings ..... I miss Switzerland !! ( sob..... )
Wow! The first time I watched your channel I just couldn’t stop because of the great content. Thank you for going out even through this difficult time.
I love airports and planes very much, I remember sometimes in the past I went to the airports for just watching the airport and planes and I'm very happy today to find some nice people like myself, thank you
So missing my previous trip from HongKong to Cairo and transship in Zurich during winter over 10 years ago. I remembered to take the Swiss airline and served by these nice flight attendants
I was living right next to Zürich Airport last year, and I've missed the place so much man! Every day I used to walk up to the runway 28's end and watch planes land! Thanks for the upload!
Scott Roth TXL will be closed in a couple of weeks. Air France sent me an email that they are selling seats for the last flight from TXL to CDG. No idea if this is flying blue exclusive... Actually AF was the first airline to land at TXL in 1960... I would go, but both are now risk areas.
2020 must have been the worst for u Sam. Been binge watching your old vids, it brings back great memories of flying and getting actual service. Hope this madness ends soon
Hi Mr. Sam Chui 🤗 what a beautiful thing to see Zurich airport back again after a long period of resting and how beautiful your unique videos are!!!😄😁👍 Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
I threw bags for Continental 20 years ago, and yes ...people overpack I would grab a handle and it would come off in my hand.... one night I was emptying a 737, grabbed the handle, it breaks off, I rear back and hit the door and knocked myself out.... overweight bag...
One of my favorite videos by you Sam,I haven't been to Europe yet .Now Switzerland is in my top destinations to visit . Im definitely booking a airport tour !Thanks @Sam Chui .
Sam I'll tell you something After working the whole day and after all that work stress when I watch your videos I feel quite relaxed and have a smile on my face. I pray to god to give you energy and enthusiasm to keep doing what you like in life Cheers!
Great vid! Sam this reminds of Amarillo, Texas in the states. I taught school there for many years and it’s flat and wide open and easy to see the planes take off and land. Bell Helicopter builds the Osprey tiltrotor aircraft there too, so those fly around as well. Lastly Amarillo’s a location where some airlines, charter, and cargo planes get painted! Yes painted...they pull them into a big hanger and they get the new paint job!
This is awesome. First the observation decks and then the personal guided tour. Wish more airports had these. This is a planespotter + av geek's dream. ✈✈
I was on a Swiss flight in 2018 that was delayed 4 hours on top of a planned 3 hour layover. We spent all 7/8 hours in Concourse E on the way from Rome (FCO) to New York (EWR). It was a late flight, but I've never seen that terminal as empty as it was in your video. I miss flying and hope we can travel again soon, I'll never complain about being stuck in Terminal E of Zurich for 7 hours ever again.
It's really strange to see the terminal which I know from before - hopefully they soon can open it again. Every Swiss person loves the airline and hopes that travel industry starts again. Great that you introduced the airport to the world.
I really want to stand between the run ways. It's a very amazing airport. I want to see that soon! Thank, Sam for your effort recording such video during the pandemic.
Truth is you don't get to stand there for so long, only like 15 min. You have to take a bus tour which is about an hour, and 45 min you drive around they show you planes firefighters runways and so on, and then at the end you get out for those 15 min. If youre a spotter you can time that to for example catch the one a380 that takes off :) . I'm not sure if there is prolongued tours for photographers.
Great Video Sam! Already my Grandfather took me to the observation desk and it became our second home. I'm passing the flame to my kids now and they love it.
Zurich-Kloten is a fantastic airport. Have been through it a few times on the way to east Africa. Would use is as a base arrival and departure point from the U.S. again anytime far superior to the more crowded hubs such as LHR or FRA.
This was amazing. When we are allowed to travel again, I would go to Zurich just for those observatories. Thank you for sharing that experience with us
Wonderful video Sam to be more precise a stupendous video which shows the behind the scenes .... Loved it much ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Lots of love from India ❤️❤️...
Meanwhile in Belgrade, Serbia, the airport security or the police will either chase you away or maybe even arrest you and keep you locked in overnight if they see you filming and taking photos of the planes anywhere around the airport. As an aviation enthusiast, that gives me one more reason to stay in love with Zürich.
Edelweiss flower in the grass of ZRH? So funny! In dialect I called that flower „Margeritli“. Thanks to you, Sam, I can see much more of my Airport Zurich. For plane spotting I usually go somewhere else - not the observation desk to see the landing and taxing planes... Thank you, Sam, for sharing your wonderful video of ZRH with us. Merci vielmals!
Same here in Phoenix. Dropped off my brother in law a few months ago and Sky Harbor was practically deserted. It was like some kind of bizzare, post-apocalyptic feeling until you see one random flight attendant running from one end of the hallway to the other or only two people traveling together walking to their terminal. I think the only in airport business that was open was the Starbucks. Very eerie and sad.
I have been to LAX so many times, I have flown to 21 countries. USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Israel, Germany, UK, Hungary, Slovakia, Norway, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, France, Iceland, New Zealand, and Austria. All those trips started at LAX. That airport is connected to me. The first plane I ever flew was an ELAL Israel airlines, on a 777-200ER when I was 4 weeks old. It’s true. The only 747s I flew were and British airways and I got to sit in the cockpit. I’ve sat in the cockpit of so many planes you can’t even imagine. I really like your channel and I love airplanes with all my heart thanks for making this video about LAX! 😀 I flew the BA jumbo from Cape town, South Africa to London, Heathrow! 🛫✈️🛬 Please do a video on ELAL airlines!

Absolutely love the Zurich airport! Never knew there was a bus tour you can take and stand between the runways. Mostly go there and spend time in the Swiss Lounge which also has a beautiful outdoor observation deck. Yep, Zurich Airport is only about 400 meters above sea level. I think what you saw were common daises.
Proud to see that and be Swiss.
Thank you Sam for what you do and thank you Zurich Airport to make us proud and show the best of Switzerland
