Great video!!! So glad to see Purina is moving along so well. I noticed that on the Cass clip, they have a 'Railroad Post Office' (RPO) car just in front of the caboose, BUT - DID YOU KNOW the "Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad" (train station located in Titusville, Pennsylvania), has the only know, USPS certified, operational RPO left in the entire country?!?!? OC&T runs diesel units - no steam - but it's a fabulous excursion - been on it many times. Also, there's a 21 unit 'caboose motel' directly adjacent to the OC&T station - a whisker over $100 total, including taxes, per night in 2024 where you can sleep in your private caboose!! Northwestern Pennsylvania loves railroads!! Be safe, stay well, and keep filming! "God provides extra good care for His own"
Good to see Chessie railfanning with you. Boy that Purina plant is going to be huge. A lot of new jobs for the area and a big boost for CCET. Thanks JT. Great video. ❤
That is a huge plant! Good for the local economy. Who will service them? That would be cool watching the switching. Love the whistles nothing beats it, especially after listening to CE horns🙉🙉 Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
So nice of you to help with the gas again Mark! I really appreciate your support! I don't know who will switch the plant but probably Purina will. CCET will have to get more locomotives when they come on line next July. They are also going to start replacing ties with grant money. Thanks again Mark!
I live this railroad & locos the area is do pretty! & Williamsburg Hill is my favourite part of the trains Journey will she make it up the hill or not, she did that day. Bet Chessie thinking is my food made there? It's coming on now Purina be awesome when up & running JT. Fab filming of the train down the hill over the bridge with a dpu this time! Just awesome video with some more of Cass at the end, & your handsome horse! THANKS JT. & Chessie. 🐕🐎❤😊👍
Sounds great! Williamsburg hill is my favorite place to film. The crews that they have now know how to make it up the hill. New crews always stall out. I saw Norfolk Southern stall on the hill with a grain train about 20 years ago. Batavia hill is a rough one also. I remember when NS would have to double the hills. Thanks for watching Carol!
When Johnstown PA was still booming with both Beth. Steel and US Steel, as a kid, I would sit on my bike and watch them switching. They'd go back and forth numerous times, as the traffic piled up at the crossings. Now most of the tracks sit abandoned, or rarely used. The line that passes through is used by freight and Am Trak trains, dailey, but the local business is all but gone.😢 We do have the steepest vehicular incline plane, I think in the world. If they ever get done with the multi-year refurb.
Thanks so very much for sharing your experience with us and your feedback there was 28 cars please keep on making your videos and stay safe well filming them
I am going to have to find some sleeveless shirts and ditch my Hawaiian shirts for a while. The hardest part is the cameras over heating. Thanks for watching!
Another great video JT and it definitely had 28 cars but anyway try to stay cool out in my friend and you stay safe and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
#1657 sounds like she has an ailing cylinder. I am noticing that their track is starting to show signs of needing attention. Weeds, which means ballast is fouling, and some ties which need replacing. I hope they don't let things degrade too long! If so, it will cost them a bunch of extra money.
They got grant money to put new ties in this summer. You are right, they really need it and the rock trains are hard on the track. With Purina coming online next July they are really going to have to replace a lot of ties
Thanks for the cool 😎 video, JT! Great trains, scenery, and Purina update. I love seeing your pets as always. I hope you have a fabulous day! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Excellent catching the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad, I like them, they're awesome, I already uploaded the video of mine, that has the NS 26C in downtown Hamilton, both short and long video, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day.
They started as auto racks. Each time they get moved there is some kind of mod going on. I noticed one move they replaced wheels and couplers. I will try to get more info
Lol, that would be awesome! I have dreamed of going there all my life. When I was a kid I saw Tehachapi Loop in Trains Magazine and ever since then I have wished to see it. I found a bed and breakfast near the Loop with the tracks right behind it
Hey Jaw Tooth, it may be too late as I don’t know your upload schedule very well, but tomorrow June 21 is my son’s 2nd birthday. We watch you every morning (or evening if we don’t get to it). It would be awesome if you could give Ezra a second birthday shoutout, I just know he’d love it! Keep up the awesome work! I always keep my eye out for you up in Walbridge/Toledo.
Hey there JT you should go up to Garver Road in monroe ohio where the NS and I/O meet up on the line to mason ohio. The ns just ran solid rail up from the yard to the meeting point of there maintenance point the new track is still laying on the side haven't installed it yet.
JT, I think I forgot to tell you. I saw a video on RUclips you might find interesting: Top Fives 15 Amazing Railroad Bridges. Not many trains, but I think you may like the Bridges. 🙂🙂
Hey jaw tooth lots of cool trains. Glad to see C&E RR is doing great. Purena plant will be a great customer for them when complete. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
Interested to see how they handle 300 additional carloads a month while still tieing up the railroad outside of Milford with the rock train. Will be a real juggling act. Wonder if they are considering a spur at the rock yard to allow an open track?
You bet! Thank you for your support! That really helps towards the gas and it will go to good use! Thanks for watching my videos and thanks for helping with the gas fund
Bring a scanner if you do and get ready for frustration. They are very hard to locate due to the over growth and they spend a lot of time switching in areas that you can't get to. I leap frogged around a 32 car train recently and didn't know it, thats how bad the over growth is. We get so much rain that everything grows so fast that it covers the views of the tracks. Its a lot easier to film them when the leaves are gone
That straight ahead look with the smoke just pouring out as they lay on the horn for all the grade crossings is a real Shortline day. If gondolas could speak I think those two cars would mention that their backs are aching and almost breaking. Those orange tie cars look a bit out of place when they're not on the NS proper but that helps them get to the creosote plant. That is a unique set of grab irons on what is left of a old auto rack that is waiting conversion to another TTX flatcar of some sort. Still stuck in the 90s off and on for like the next week so make sure you bring plenty of water to stay hydrated
Still don't understand why they seem to always carry the EMPTY flat cars. I've never seen anything on them... Do you know why? or maybe you can find out... Thanks for another great vid, I watch you everyday, when you release them. Love the horse too.. He's cool, and he doesn't take any crap from Jessy either... haha!
They started as auto racks. Each step of the way they get some type of modification such as new appliances or wheels. I'm not completely sure but will find out
Nice to see the sunny day, Señor Jaws. Great locations. Rainy and a bid of a chill here... we are on the southern edge of the tropical storm Alberto which turned quite inland north of us... but dumping some rain on old Der RobMann in Puebla. Oh, well !!! Enjoy your summer days and friendly train people. RT sends, envía, Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México.
We are finally starting to dry up in my area. This was a wet spring and it flooded some of the fields and they had to be replanted in a few spots. Stay away from those streams so you don't get taken down stream to the ocean somewhere. Lol. Have a great week Der RobMann!
They do some kind of modification on them every time they move them. They told me once but I wasn't clear on what they are doing. They came from auto racks
