No general Freight except for the Short Line. Still quite the variety with the Intermodal and who can't help but love the Brick that puts on thousands of miles every year. The coal train with its One lone Conrail car was amazingly low on graffiti and as for those cut down TTX cars their graffiti gallery is closed. Truly a glorious pink sunset in the final scenes which signifies a great day Trackside.
The Brick was cool but pacing the coal train was better. Looked like the train full of Uncle Joes was slowing as it came by you. The Brick must be doing a good job, the trains just sing through the curves there. The double DPUs were a bonus. Excellent video, enjoyed it greatly. Thanks JT!
Happy Thanksgiving Brian, enjoy watching the trains, and spend time with your family and friends, have a great day away, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
@@grampus2112 That is the same consist that delivered the coal. Each coal car weighs around 90 tons loaded, The RRs use what is basically a spreadsheet with formulas to determine the build of the consist. The idea is to avoid broken coupling parts and the delays and costs associated with that.
Cool awesome NS with a coach! Nice❤You caught a lot of my favorites. 😊what a cool capture of the pink clouds and sunset Mr JT.😊 Pets and all made my day. 👍😊
It was really great to see the Geometry Train making sure that the tracks are in great shape, riding along with the Coal Train was exciting and the Intermodal with the DPU and the Cincinnati East RR it always great to see all of this train action on the tracks, also seeing the pets having fun playing in the yard as well as the slide shows and I hope you, your family and the pets all have a blessed Thanksgiving Thank You Jaw Tooth. 🤠🐶🐱🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Nice catch on that Geometry train, JT! Like those shots into the sun, more of a feeling of being there by the rails. Enjoyed the sunset shots and the pets checking out the freshly harvested cornfield. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Don’t let the pets have too much turkey!
@Jawtooth I am hearing Norfolk southern coming eastbound I am hearing the elkhart dispatcher yard talking to the Norfolk southern fright train could you hear him on your scanner talking to dispatch in the Elkhart yard you need to check this out hawks tooth
You found the perfect place to fish while waiting on the train. Smallmouth, largemouth, and panfish in there and probably channel cats. I'd be doing that or reading because I can't seem to play on my phone more than 5 or 10 minutes before I want to do something productive. Combining screaming DPUs and fishing is about optimum. lol That geometry train has been running for years. Used to be longer when more people were needed to run it. Now a lot more is automated. The middle car is a generator that powers the whole thing and it has some detectors of its own. I believe it's built on an old locomotive frame. It has changed over the years. Now it has fancy GPS antennas and all. That glass rear end is cool. I remember when it had a smaller window and a door.
Hey JT, hope you are doing great today! Can you go railfan on the NS Harrisburg division? In Lebanon PA? There’s always a Heritage unit near by and Lehigh valley has been going through a lot lately! And I think you would love Lebanon PA to railfan! Anyways have a great day!
Awesome railfan videos with great variety of big, fast trains to special. Loved the awesome sunset: “Red in the morning; Sailor’s warning. Red at night; Sailor’s delight.” Under girded by your informative commentary.Thank you JT, appreciate ❤your work.
Another good one Jawtooth! Lot of action for sure. That derail is knows as a split point derail, its a dual point version which is basically the points of an old switch. Oh by the way, DPU I see you!
Hey jaw tooth lots of cool locations catching trains. Be careful shooting in sun not good on your eyes. Hope you had a great thanksgiving. Have a great weekend and railroad day 🙋♀️🚂
Superb. Enjoyed this one a lot! QUESTION: Do you know why the CET hauls those flatcars around so much? Out of all the videos I've watched, I think there was only one or two times any of the flatcars have anything on. Seems like a waste of fuel (money) hauling around the extra weight with no financial gain from it. Thank you for all the work you do on making these videos, my friend, and may you be blesses with health and safety!!
You know what, im going to start watching your vids again. Haven't gone railfanning in a while myself, so this will appease my "train needs". I love that old crossing sound! And great catch!
@karafaunt4386 go to porter Indiana that’s where you will see a lot of trains because that’s the Norfolk southern Chicago line and you can listen to the Norfolk Southern Chicago line on your scanner
First Class video with a bit of everything in it! The Brick making another inspection, coal train, some very long intermodals, plus more footage of the CCET. Am I correct in assuming that the Scioto River is the same one that the CCET line used to cross on that huge 5 span bridge? Pity it's not in use any longer as it would have made a real nice shot with the train crossing. The sunset pictures were a delight too! Thanks for the effort you put in to make your videos so enjoyable and for making them available to us over here in Yorkshire UK.
Actually they do fight fire with fire in some instances like for forest fires they do back fires to burn a clearing to stop the fire from progressing. Lol
That kind of looked like it's on the way to be the Santa train. You'll be happy to know that this channel is now the favorite railfan channer of bill xam!
Jaw tooth, I know you think it’s really fun to sweep the train like that and pan back-and-forth but it really is difficult for us car counters to keep up with that just so you know. Lol.
Awesome seeing the Brick! Great trains and good areas. Looked like the perfect day to go out. Thanks for the great video and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family JT!!! Until next time!!
Hello Jaw Tooth I know of a filming location in South Point Ohio double track N&S just a few miles above where N&S bridge crosses into Ohio from Kenova WV. It has a pizza place that you can eat and park at and both directions has about 1/2 to 1 mile view in both directions.
Cool you got the Geometry train. Yes 1977 was a good year Bethlehem rolled some record tons of rails back then. Great video.
Cool, thanks!
Fab trains this morning JT, esp the coal train great filming as always. Have great day. ❤😊👍
Thanks, you too!
Goodmorning from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤
Good Morning from The United States
Morning!
Top of the morning to ALL ⏰🐓
Hi from Scotland love watching your Videos your trains in America are a lot bigger and longer than ours. Always on the lookout for those D.P.Us 🚂🚃🙂
What an extremely gorgeous sunset. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Yes indeed
Great locomotive action! ❤ That berm is STEEP! Beautiful location. (1st)
Thank you very much!
Good locations, lots of action and a beautiful sky.

Extremely long NS intermodal train! I like the Cosco containers. They're a pretty shade of blue. 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Yes indeed!
Happy Thanksgiving Brian and all the rail fans.. Enjoy..
Happy Thanksgiving

I saw you in a recent Shoestring vid.. Glad you two could meet up..@@JawTooth
You caught some good trains, the NS geometry train and big coal, manifest, Intermodel with distributed power action!🛤🚂

@@JawTooth thanks, mate
Hard to believe they didn't have a DPU on that coal train - wow. Great stack train with 2 DPUs! Very cool :) And an incredible sunset!
Thank you very much!
You don't need a DPU when you have 2 ac44c6m's pulling
@@JodyBeeler DPUs are for minimizing the stress on the couplers and preventing string derailments 😊

Always nice to drop in on Jaw Tooths site and get a wide range of different rail operations, Really nice and laid back.
Wow, the Brick! Cool. And the hopper train had somewhere in the neighborhood of 170 cars.

Wow that was a long line of empty coal cars! Too bad it wasn't loaded but it was cool anyway. Good catch JT! 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah thanks!
Thanks for sneaking in the CCE. That was a good long train. 24 rock cars and a gon for McCoy. Also, TOFC's for storage. Keeping everything moving.
The aerial shot of the town at the beginning looked like a guitar. Pretty cool, JT. 😊😊😊
It does. I just checked and sure enough
You filmed The Brick! Gotta be a lucky day. That thing sure covers some miles!

Those are storage cars. They are paid to store them for their owners. They get in the way and need moved to access other cars
Thank you! That makes sense.
The DPU's x 2 were really working on the Intermodal train.
What a gorgeous sun set you captured !
Thanks for watching!
Great video JT! Lots of good catches, and that sunset was beautiful!

Great catch, I caught it over the summer up here in Michigan. It really is something cool!
It sure is!
Magnificent sunset 🌇 you caught there JT 😀 😮
Thanks 👍
Great shot of the sun set! happy Thanksgiving!
We had 2 CN's pulling a Norfolk and Southern yesterday. And that does't happen but a rarely. The rail yards are in N E Ohio heading westbound
The geometry train is something else! Making a derailment to stop a derailment is like fighting fire with fire.
Actually they do fight fire with fire in some instances like for forest fires they do back fires to burn a clearing to stop the fire from progressing. Lol
The brick has also made its appearance on the FEC Railway in Florida.
Looks like a person's private rail car awesome video. Denis from Santa Rosa CA
For sure - 1977 was a good year for me too.
The mound could be from digging out the graves. They usually don't have enough room for it all when the caskets are put in. 😊
Good point!
Excellent video jaw tooth, loved it all. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving and all the viewers...
Thanks so much!
Up here in north Texas the Amarillo line I see coal trains go towards 60-70 mph sometimes lol
Awesome! thanks for watching
