  • Do you struggle with the idea of faith? What is faith, saving faith, spurious faith, and what does it mean to believe in Jesus. Pastor Jesse breaks down the true meaning of faith as pertaining to the scriptures, and he refutes the modern twisted notion that Calvinists and Arminians alike have placed on faith.

@@BibleLineI have a question. Can a homosexual Christian, die in a homosexual relationship, and still go to Heaven?.

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  5 месяцев назад

If the person at one point in time believed in Jesus Christ for the full payment of their sins, yes. It’s based upon the one time moment of belief in Jesus, not in what they do or don’t do thereafter. Homosexuality is scripturally a sin, and God does not tolerate sin. Nonetheless, Jesus died for homosexuals the same as He did for liars and murderers. I don’t even point out homosexuality as a sin in my witnessing. I’d rather point them to the Savior, and then I allow them to make the decision to trust Him. Afterwards God may convict them of their sin. That’s beyond my control.

@@BibleLine So you have no problem with homosexual Christians celebrating pride parade, or Christians getting drunk in bars?.

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  5 месяцев назад

That’s a separate question altogether. God does not tolerate sin; he hates it. Nonetheless, He still died for all sin. The sin is paid, and that is the very reason why someone should not continue in sin. Nonetheless, the promise remains true that the individual is saved regardless of their actions after faith in Christ. Someone should not continue living in a lifestyle of sin (including homosexuality), but if they did; they are still saved. Why? The sin is paid. We’re against sinning in all formats. Why do you point out the homosexuals and drunkards, but you don’t point out sins of omission, anger, pride, jealousy, chiding, or lust in the mind? Perhaps lying? Why overlook those? Is God okay with occasional sin?

Calvinists like John MacArthur love to talk about true Christians who have the gospel right as common, or that what we believe is being preached in every town, when in fact it is the Calvinist that is common. In reality It is a rare encounter to actually run into someone that actually has the gospel right.

I believe MacArthur is a true Christian and well meaning but like many pastors their seminary teaching doctrines of men etc they often put above the word of God and make Gods word twist to fit the doctrine.
Like tulip Calvinism Calvinism light which is once saved always saved seventh day adventist free grace hyper grace sincerely practice sin salvation never repent doctrine.
Often much if what they teach us true however they u knowingly idolize their founders or many if that groups manmade doctrines or proof re rd taken out if context.
Sometimes they even tie salvation to whether youbelue e like them or in their manmade doctrines true or not...when whether you believe in Jesus us what saves not once saved always saved Sabbath day worship Calvinism tulip election predestination hyper and free grace oractucsin and sun freely be we repent doctrines.
Yes some people callreoentung a sin.
Something God and Jesus commands us to do old and new testament.
.or they day you are not saved if you don't do this or believe their interpretation of scripture or if you do this or do good works for en gave faith...they say you are trying to save yourself.
.instead if obeying aCid which us what you wreck and confessing your sins even after salvation as Jesus teaches they frown on and he is faithful to forgive us...that hate the continue in faith to the end to be saved and work out your own salvation....e everything has to fit their doctrines and I terpretation of the bible which they often often take out proper context without knowing it and good intentions thinking they are doing acids work accusing other Christians without any respectful dialogue with them first if possible.

As for the nature of saving faith, reread Ephesians 2:8 in the Bible:
"By grace are you saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Trusting in Christ as one's Savior is indeed simple. Of course, one will need to believe that one is a sinner in need of salvation and that one cannot save oneself (The "Romans Road"). When one perceives that Jesus made full propitiation for one's sins when He hung on the cross 2,000 years ago, hopefully the person accepts this gift and trusts in Christ. The alternative is to trust in someone or something else: perhaps in oneself, or in one's church, or in church Sacraments, or in the Watchtower, or whatever.
A huge number of people belong to religious systems which have a veneer of Christianity, but they teach their adherents to depend on and trust in that particular religious system. I like to ask people how they think a person can be justified before God; sadly, far too many will respond with something like, "You have to be good," or "You need to live a good life." This shows a misplaced faith in one's own works.

About that '6 months of fruit-bearing' idea: it's not a new idea, not by any means. There are writings of the early church which showed that new converts were being required, for a period of months or years, to live a certain way and learn about the faith, before they would be permitted to enter baptism. And they weren't regarded as Christians until they were baptized! Furthermore, if they committed a serious sin they were excluded from the church and considered no longer Christians, unless they exhibited repentant actions & behavior for a lengthy time period. It's shocking how quickly things devolved from the Apostolic era when, for example, Peter could preach the Gospel to a crowd, 3,000 would believe and be "added to the church that day," and subsequently they would be (straightaway) baptized.

Again when we get saved we get saved through faith in His finished work, not from ours as those that can be confused by “faith without works is dead.”
It is implied that we are forgiven and in Christ from faith on. It is also implied that means heaven is our eternal paradise. This is the gospel and good news!
Although you would expect this not to be true it is ironic that there are many Christians still confused and doubting their eternity under free grace theology.
The teaching goes - unless you believe eternal means that there is a no way possible to somehow forfeit eternal life when you first believed then you are not saved, do not have the Son.
The implications are staggering. It’s just not that other doctrines are in error but they are pro actively keeping people from being saved. The remedy appears to realize that for ever how long you first came to faith and thought you knew Christ that you weren’t really saved and now must fully understand eternal means eternal.
I believe eternal is eternal but I still cannot accept that those that believed in Christ and the possibility to forfeit salvation aren’t saved just because of the doctrinal error.

I have a question based on a sermon I just listened to on Charles Lawson’s RUclips channel.
He has a speaker teach on James and faith / works.
In this sermon, he indicated that Tribulation saints will be saved by faith that must be proven by their works in order to inherent the kingdom.
I’ve heard James taught a couple different ways but understand that it’s true meaning was that it was still salvation by faith alone and that it is by faith in ALL dispensations that saves.
Another thing it seemed he was teaching was that James was written to the Jews specific to those left to endure the Tribulation and not so much to the church as a whole , but I may be confused if this was actually what he was implying.
I’ll include the link should someone there be able to watch it because I found it confusing and it was concerning that works became a part of salvation at that time.
    ruclips.net/video/i7ekLaI9pVM/видео.htmlsi=4r6gxlorAmFyel9P
I hope someone sees this comment and can offer biblical clarification as I’d greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you !!

I use to listen to John MacArthur and I stopped and it didn't even have anything to do with this.
It was because an audience member asked him if there would be any animals in heaven or if we would see our pets in heaven.
And he dogmatically claimed "absolutely not." And then he went on to defend his belief that there will be no animals in heaven.
And I was like what 🤷...
There were animals in the garden of Eden why wouldn't there be animals in heaven?
Death was brought into the world through our sin and if we hadn't sinned even the animals wouldn't have had to experience death... I figure plants probably would die though, probably bugs as well.
But there certainly wouldn't be any African wild dogs tearing a gazelle apart. Animal suffering happens because we were put in charge of this world and we allowed evil into it, now it's under a curse and the curse brings death.
But the Bible clearly says that the lamb will lay down beside the wolf.
(Everyone's going to say it was lion it's not lion it's wolf")
The Bible also says "even the creation itself awaits its liberation from bondage and decay."
    The Bible also says
"The righteous man regards the life of his animal but The tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
Now if a righteous man regards the life of his animal how much more does a righteous God regard the life of his animals? As well as the life of his beloved children's beloved pets.
And Jesus said not one Sparrow falls to the ground apart from God.

    Aloha Pastor,
I am also a Pastor & the Head Chaplain of our Prison. I have watched a lot of videos, & a lot of your videos, so to speak if it's still called videos, and I Always catch people not interpreting God's Word Properly.
Remember, the Bible contains 66 books with different Genres, so they are to be Interpreted Properly. Also, you do Not use Exegesis when you interpret a passage because the word "Works" most times refers to the Old Testament Laws, Not Obedience.
Be sure to use Sound Doctrine, Not just Accurate Doctrine, because the 66 books of the Bible are Not directly intended for us, so many times the Author is using, "Task Theology," not complete Theology. What does the whole Bible say about Saving Faith?
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?
    Luke 9:23-25 NIV
Luke 13:24-30, Jesus says, you have to Agonize to get in the Gate to Heaven.
Luke 14:26-27, Jesus says, you have to Hate everyone else in comparison if you want to go to Heaven.
Luke 14:28-33, Jesus says to Count the Cost before committing to Him.
Matthew 19:16-30, Jesus rejects the Rich Young Ruler, & he "believed," that's why he asked Jesus.
So be sure you interpret each of these Passages Accurately, & pull out the "Main Ides," & put them All Together & ask the Holy Spirit what it takes to enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
Remember, the Demons "Believe" more than Most, & where are they going.
    God Bless You!

Yes. False teachers can be very subtle. It's why the bible describes them as wolves in sheep's skin. They look like a sheep. They can even walk and talk like a sheep. But if you pay very close attention to what they say and notice something that sounds unbiblical, you can find them. Just recently, there was one named on another channel, and one of his followers came to his channel and asked him straight out, "I heard you were a false teacher and a goat. Is this true?" And I won't mending names, but the guy replied "if I was a false teacher and a goat, I wouldn't tell you. " But he never once denied it. The truth is, he peaches free grace, but then he goes on to contradict the bible and make false claims about certain books of the bible
Calling them wrong and saying they don't belong in the bible and they are"uninspired"...... right there. He appears as a sheep by teaching free grace. So he looks like a good teacher. A sheep. But then he goes on to say specific books are incorrect and don't belong in the bible. The devil isn't going to come right out and tell you "hey, I'm the devil and I'm here to decieve you. " no. He wants you to believe him so he can get your trust, only to subtly twist things so you don't even notice unless you are paying attention. Lesson: do not ever take any man's word over the bible. Let God be true and every man a liar.

We have multiple videos on Calvinism. It’s definitely the more sought after doctrine of the day, but it’s very much in error.
Arminianism can sometimes sound like what we believe (at least regarding free will), but many Arminians believe salvation can be lost. We refute such.
Calvinism is supposed as the exact opposite, but Calvinists reject all free will, the saved person was chosen to be saved (we reject this; salvation is free to all), and these are amongst multitudes if erroneous ideas posed by Calvinists.

Jn12:42 "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many (believed on him); but because of the Pharisees they did not (confess him), lest they should be put out of the sysnagogue. For they loved the praise of men (more) than the praise of God." These men "believed in" Jesus as Messiah but it was not enough to simply believe in him. If you confess me before men, I will confess you before my Father in heaven. THe devils believe and tremble, but they don't have saving faith. James says, there's a faith that a man can have but it cannot save him. Faith, properly defined, and understood does save. But Saving faith, is more nuanced than just believing a pen is a pen. If that's all it was those Jewish rulers would have been saved.

Faith does not save you..the blood of Jesus does.
And he saves those who have true faith in him.
But The faith of a sinner does not save a sinner.
Only Gods grace and blood sacrifice of his perfect son saves that's why we cannot boast my faith saved me.
Many believe even the demons believe.
What most I do to be saved.
The bible answers this usually theologians bible school graduates many of whom are modern day Pharisees will debate this often well meaning on both sides however both immediately call others false teachers and worse even before if ever reaching out to them fit a meaningful conversation on the differences which is often just semantics culture tradition or both using different definitions for the same words or bible.passages.
Ylmany also have falsebelied after a sermon in hell or while under the influence and really don't believe but decieved their selves then preachers preaching the false is as doctrine convince them just because they once said they believe in words but not heart they are saved and convinced they never have to work out their salvation e ani e themselves and see if their conversion and belief is or was true or not.
Again your faith dies not save you that's why we cannot boast.
    The blood of Jesus saves.

Im trying to not put on my virtual suit and tie here, but I think what JMac is trying to say is that true faith will result in obedience to Christ. JMac isn't trying to suggest works, but he's suggesting that true faith will lead to a changed lifestyle. This goes beyond of what calvinist believe. It's even said it's impossible to have an encounter with the living God and remain the same. Yes there's carnal Christians, but there's many false converts who only believed with mental assent and not with the heart. They only agreed to certain facts but never trusted Christ and what He's done for salvation. I know both you and JMac don't want false converts coming out of either of your churches, however, JMac wants true believers to have a changed life that follows Christ and shows traits of a true believer. God wants us and calls us to turn from our wicked ways. I see nothing wrong with saying "repent of your sins" because without repentance, you wont see the need to be saved. I'm not saying we clean our lives up to come to Christ because otherwise we wouldn't need His sacrifice. But I am saying one's gonna have to turn their eyes and heart from sin and its deception, even if it's them trusting in themselves for salvation (which is still sin cause its self righteousness and unbelief), and turn to Christ for salvation by recognizing theyre a wicked sinner in need of a Savior. So they turn to Him, put their trust in Him as their Savior and Lord (Lord cause HE is God and is ruler of all).
Now, I don't agree with everything JMac says, neither with all what Sproul says. They both said things that even made me raise my eyebrows due to their Calvinist beliefs. However, I do understand why Lordship Salvation came into existence. If one can't accept Him as Lord, then they can't accept Him as Savior. I've heard today that if one isn't ready for their life to be shaken up by the Lord, then they cannot be a Christian. When the Lord comes onto someones life, things change for that person. IF that person doesn't want that change, then they can't be Christian.

Can you please clarify what a true believer is? How do you quantify what is true and by whose standards? The problem with the expectations that JMaC wants is that it takes the spotlight off of Christ's completed work of the cross, and the sanctification process no longer belongs to the Holy Spirit. Man has to complete the finished work of Christ because His death was not sufficient. Man should not get the responsibility of being a fruit inspector. JMaC is burdening Calvinists to labor for proof of work which contradicts Matt 11:28-30.
