There is a sub mod for old world blues that adds a intelligent deathclaw nation to the mod, but there's been several of these mods that become outdated when newer nations are added to the base mod
They do plan on expanding to the east coast as far as I'm aware. I think they might be waiting for Fallout: Miami to be released first but who knows. I imagine that it also does just take awhile to flesh out these massive regions. There are two submods I'd recommend checking out if you keep doing videos on OWB, one that adds a Courier Six path to the New Vegas tree and allows you to annex New Canaan, and Annex the Divide getting both Joshua Graham and Ulysses as Generals and form "New America" and a enclave mod that allows you to either reform the enclave to truly embody American values, or to cleanse the wasteland.
Next phase is the rest of the midwest (both us and canada), then they'll (not necessarily in this order) finish up the southern us, east coast,/new england, north eastern canada, and the caribbean.
slow down the mod already is so slow that they have options that merge entire regions (texas, mexico, cascadia) and most of the new added nations in canada and montana have very little to no content and they endlessly rework nevada and ncr i think we’re on the 3rd ncr while same house new vegas tree since launch i love the mod but yea east coast never happening
@@CupGuyDude12 Honestly I don't think they're liable to do a flat line to the east coast, but I would have to imagine that they want to at least get the Capital Wasteland and Commonwealth implemented. Though the mod will probably be abandoned before that. And for speed, the mod doesn't run much slower than vanilla at the beginning and for me has a faster speed late game because of lower units at that point. Like, if you have a habit of quitting your games 4 years in you probably don't see it, but its various systems have a nice habit of limiting the slowdown.
This mod is the reason of around 70% of my hours in hoi4. I absolutely love to go heavy in power armour and play one on the brotherhood's or the Enclave mod.
@@TheStanislavson I sure can. Depends a bit of what you want to do and how much experience you have with hoi4 in general. Factions like the NCR or Caesar are big and powerful but that's probably a problem if it's one of your first games. They have massive focuses and special mechanics that might be a bit overwhelming. If you like power armour and the brotherhood of steel, I would recommend the Washington Brotherhood. A darker, sinister variant to the north. They have strong BoS units and a simple and straightforward focus tree. They are based around conquering and fighting. They start at war, but if you have a basic understanding of hoi4 combat it should be super easy, barely an inconvenience. Throughout your campaign you'll face little resistance other than the supermutants of the Troll Warren. Speaking of which, I haven't played them myself, but if you want to play super mutants, the Troll Warren is probably your pick. If you'd rather go for the more economic and story focused route, maybe try playing New Vegas, they have a focus on robots when it comes to warfare. If the mass assault tribal style of Caesar seems interesting but Caesar's Legion is too much of a headache, try Lanious' cohort. If you want to go for the elite units but more of a ranger than a power armour, then try the Desert Rangers. Strong units to pacify the wasteland and friendship with the NCR means a strong and safe journey. You could also try literally anything, as with the exception of some minor nations that get eaten by big ones early on, anything is golden. I would highly encourage you against playing the normal brotherhood of steel(I think they call it western brotherhood now) or the Mojave chapter, as they both can come out as quite challenging taking into account that the enemy is the NCR and they have little room for expansion. The Mojave chapter is fun once you get a hold on their special mechanic of rivalry with the Mojave division of the NCR
@@TheRewasder97 Thank you for the detailed answer, if you want to play together, we can play. OWB devs plan to eventually reach the East Coast, but that is sadly years upon years away. One nation I highly recommend is the Rogue Rangers, they're extremely fun and have a lot of unique lore.
I mean, as a person here in the 21st century, I'd have a pretty hard time working up smoke signals from first principles too. It's not like there are a lot of Native Americans outside Utah to ask about it, and the ones inside are either White Legs or trying not to be killed by White Legs.
I have been waiting for this for far too long! Thank you Stakuyi! A note about the followers: when you select to either let them in or kick them out, it unlocks decisions for you to complete. You have a time limit to do them before the followers establish themselves.
1, I would LOVE to see more OWB content 2, a fair few of the factions are OC factions, but that’s because they had to fill out the entirety of 3 countries and honestly almost all of them fit the setting really well 3 Ave, true to Caesar 4, make sure you poke around as much as possible, SO many factions have absolutely massive unique or semi unique focus trees and many of them have a bunch of diverging paths, for example you can turn the Rio grande into a state run by an outcast Centurion from the legion, or you can have a prison warden AI take over the hang dogs and reform Colorado for the American government or form the enclave from Eureka 5. Vegas doesn’t invade the divide, not unles you get on it real early. NCR invades the divide in lore to open up the supply route into the Mojave but it gets nuked when the courier accidentally delivers launch codes to the area, setting the scene for the lonesome road DLC

Just got this mod two days ago. Been having a blast playing as Mr. House. Currently I'm using my army of securitrons to conquer all the tribal lands in Nevada.
So the original mod this was made from was a tiny map, only probably about 3 states. The NCR, the Legion and the Brotherhood. And was very. Very small. About the size of the Mojave for the whole map. But they worked on it, expanded the map and even added Mexico. It's one of the most worked on mods and they have plans to cover the entire map, so each point of land will have a nation, with some kind of flavour
diana's (Twim Mothers) focus tree is great with a genetic focus if you want to try one of the faction in colorado, the reworked one in that area is the Maxson Expedition dealing with diseased paladins. Both are great with a relatively early war with lanius cohort which have a good focus tree for lots of wars
@Stakuyi The reason the followers established themselves is because you didn’t take the decisions to deter them after selecting the choice to be hostile
Honestly, if you made more Fallout content I wouldn't be opposed. I mean it technically has alternate history aspects, so it's not too different from your typical content. New Vegas playthroughs as historical figures would be awesome! (kind of like Nerbit's Abe Lincoln videos)
Heya statkuyi (I dunno if you will ever see this) butttt OWB is still under development! they have a whole roadmap for it on their discord and yes the plan atleast as far as the community knows is to fill out america from coast to coast!
If you ever want to try, there is a submod for Old World Blues called "Enclave reborn" and its really good. Im not gonna spoil it for you, but i can honestly say its the best nation Ive ever played in hoi4. In terms of fun, story and originality
Stakuyi I love this so much because while everything is different from base HOI4, it’s so easy to just jump right into it. Other mods are too ambitious with changing the core gameplay.
A fun but kinda slow nation I played in Old Wars Blues is the twin mothers. You get a really cool ai that used to be a human leading your nation, and you get a lot of resources and in one path you get to team up with Lanius's cohort against ceasers legion, or you could just fight them on your own. Its a bit annoying to play them cause they start as peaceful, but i had a lot of fun playing them
My favorite faction to play is Twin Mothers. You can fight or ally with the legion. If you lose your core territory you basically respawn in raider territory to the north, and can take your revenge.
So happy you covered the Old World Blues mod. one of the mods I'll be getting when I finally get Hoi4. the Fallout universe happens to be one of my favorite franchises. I've played most of the Fallout games.
Man I played the original 2 fallouts as well. Back when it was an isometric group-party style RPG with grid tactics and all. I never got that far in them, because I was young at the time, but still I remember that.
Hey Stakuyi, if you ever plan to play this mod again, I suggest you add the Enclave submod. I won't spoil much but the Enclave nation that this submod adds gets to choose between changing itself and making a better version of America or establishing a new order.

Hey Stakuyi, I know this videos kinda old now, but if you still want to play New Canaan in Old World Blues there is a submod called "The Salted and the Faithful" that gives them a ton of extra content
Make sure to use the scavenging decisions! You can get tech from it if you're lucky. Mainly you'll just get equipment. Also depending on your faction, you might not have a choice with the followers.
I just found this mod and I started playing as the mojave brotherhood and its so amazingly done, i pushed the NCR out of the mojave and conquered Vegas now im preparing to defend Hoover dam against Lanius
One of my favorite factions/concepts in this mod is The Deadlines. A territory that is controlled by an army of underground highly mutated, irradiated, and psychically connected feral ghouls. And all of them are under the orders of an ominous hive mind.
Would recommend if you play through this again, go with the Kahns instead of the other guys, you can either peacefully absorb the Kahns afterwards or puppet them (it's one of the two) got some cool stuff that go with it.
A Mormon campaign would go so hard. I played them as a 'tank' civ, mass producing cars and absolutely obliterating the NCR only to get naval invaded from behind by the NCR 😆
Followers are the best. You get all their benefits, they only take away your factories once. Take their bluff. But afterwards you get tons of free factories.
4:31 I think I might be spoiled if you think that's extensive. This is an old tree for this mod, and they're going to redo it so that it has an actual story. Try the Unity of Austin submod for an extensive focus tree.
Personally I like playing as Mojave Brotherhood the most. It is satisfying being completely sorrunded by two powerful nations that don't really like you too much, and having to do whatever it takes to survive, thrive, then surpass.
I have noticed something weird about your channel for example this video was uploaded like 2 days before taureor did one for owb, this has happened again with other video but i cant remember, i think you just get inspired to play when you see their videos but even if not its not a bad thing i just wanted to point it out.
The Divide is the setting of the "Lonesome Road" DLC, the final and arguably most difficult DLC in New Vegas. It's full of terrifying enemies. I don't know how they coded it in this mod, but if it matches the DLC, it should be a nightmare to invade.
Fallout 3 was my first in my apartment during college. It belonged to my room mate but I played it forever. Then I discovered fallout 2 and I was excited. Then I saw it... Fart sound effect... But I wanted to play it and Holy shit, the lore is the best.
My game was so different. Idk how u got so many robots so quickly. Took me forever to get 20 divisions. And the legion went on a massive conquer spree and never had a civil war. Then attacked me and forced me to turtle. Legends still say my protectrons are still holding the high grounds. 300 losses vs 20k losses lol. I am not willing to wait another 5 years of war
YOOOOOO Someone finally did a video of a new vegas WC I did one like 3 years ago? or was it 4 i dunno but a LONG LONG time ago I'm happy to see someone doing one
i HAVE to recommend that you play the enclave reborn submods for this series, it allows you to either follow the enclaves policies from the game or to recreate a legitemate and democratic United States. it is on of the most fleshed out nations you can play with plenty of paths and events to keep it interesting.
The mods you need for the Enclave: Enclave Reborn and Enclave+. I happen to have a character that can be found in Enclave+, which the character itself, is from a New Vegas mod. Look for Paladin Keetz.
if you do the New Canaanites (mormans) they're are two trees you can do, winning vs the white legs and losing vs the white legs. Losing will let you get Joshua Grahm as your leader, also if you don't want the followers to establish themselves their are decisions you have to take multiple times to kick em out.
You can spend 200 hours in this mod as it is right now, and still be having fun. If you don’t care for the base game, get it just for this mod, it is its own game.
I did a new Vegas run as Benny And I beat the legion and NCR in the most Benny way possible Killed house Joined the legion Helped the legion kill the NCR And then, I had raked up enough warscore to literally take everything. Then, since Caesar didn’t have new Vegas, he died and the empire broke apart and it booted me from the faction Then I crushed the remnants of his empire And from there it was just painfully taking out the remaining smaller states one by one But yeah Siding with some dudes, getting them so close to victory, then betraying them, taking everything, and then killing them. Like holy shit that’s 100% something Benny would do
Patrolling the hoi4 naval mechanics almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
God damn that’s good
I checked the comments solely for this. Thank you.
is the navy even relevant in OWB? In the years I've played the mod I've never even built a single ship lol

My problem with OWB is all the untraversible terrain makes frontlines MEGA hard. Not the same set it and forget it frontline system we’re used to
Fallout 3 was my first in my apartment during college.
FINALLY A FALLOUT VIDEO FROM YOY YAY
Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing the King rule new Vegas for the fun of it
if you do the New Canaanites (mormans) they're are two trees you can do, winning vs the white legs and losing vs the white legs. Losing will let you get Joshua Grahm as your leader, also if you don't want the followers to establish themselves their are decisions you have to take multiple times to kick em out.
I actually found your history podcast channel but as a Fallout fan I had to click!
Thank you friend
FOR THE ENCLAVE! OH SAY CAN YOU SEEEEEE BY THE DAWN’S EARLY LIGHTTTT
I can share the same story about my first owned fallout game. New Vegas is still my favorite to this day.
YES!!! My prayers have been answered!! Now, we wait for the Enclave to rise again~
Oh man can't wait to see what happens!! New Vegas is my favorite Fallout Game
Rewatching this now that I’ve played new vegas
You can spend 200 hours in this mod as it is right now, and still be having fun. If you don’t care for the base game, get it just for this mod, it is its own game.
I did a new Vegas run as Benny
And I beat the legion and NCR in the most Benny way possible
Killed house
Joined the legion
Helped the legion kill the NCR
And then, I had raked up enough warscore to literally take everything.
Then, since Caesar didn’t have new Vegas, he died and the empire broke apart and it booted me from the faction
Then I crushed the remnants of his empire
And from there it was just painfully taking out the remaining smaller states one by one
But yeah
Siding with some dudes, getting them so close to victory, then betraying them, taking everything, and then killing them.
Like holy shit that’s 100% something Benny would do
