- In this video, I'm showing you how to fill empty wick pens with fountain pen ink. I used a Kuretake Karappo felt tip pen and a Teranishi Guitar fine liner to fill them up in real-time and then included a swatch of how they write.
[Note that the Guitar pen didn't fully soak through during the filming of this video so I used another one I had already filled. The pen did work fine the next day though.]
I watched the official Kuretake video on how to fill a Karappo pen before I did mine but feel free to share any other tips you may have come across.

Super fun! Do you think shimmering inks would work ? Wondering if the glitter would just get stuck in the wick.
So much fun 😊 that’s a great question! I haven’t tried shimmery fountain pen ink but Kuretake does sell metallic glittery inks for use in the Karappo. I personally think shimmery fountain pen ink may work with broader tips like the Karappo but may get stuck in the Teranishi Guitar fineliner tip - just guessing.
