The whole ink mixing system looks so fun, and useful for creating custom ink colors! And the artwork is so beautiful, she is like a lovely phoenix; I adore your process videos and this one is no exception!
You’re incredible! One of my favorite pieces from you! You mention in the video that the watercolor paper you used absorbed the ink quite fast, but still you managed to blend the skin tones perfectly. Would you say it’s because you have a lot of practice with watercolors or are those inks easy to blend even in watercolor paper?
The skin tone that I blended was very light almost transparent, so the blending looks nice since I made many layers and made gradient gradually like some artist do with alcohol markers. A bit hard to explain with text, but I went throught the same areas like the cheeks many times with the ink blend I made and used it less elsewhere ✨
I was excited for the other cartridge style options they made for the karappo line, but I ended up liking the wick foam insert type you used in the video for better for control. The other styles that work like a fountain pen with a brush tip didn't leak unless I shook them, but they were way more juicy than I wanted for drawing. I ended up soaking R&K SketchInk into the wick style pens so I could make custom waterproof ones. Worked well for watercolor, but I wish the tip was more fine... like a technical pen with less cleaning fuss / a replacement for disposable fineliners. The Karappo tips feel a little large for tiny art like trading cards/5x7s, but the line work looks nice on a little larger art works like yours :)
These inks seem really neat. I'm kinda curious, because I've seen your art box and the inks you included in there seem really awesome with this "You can use them like water color, but once they're dry, they're dry." And I really like the look of them when used in an illustration. How do they compare to each other? I've been trying to find what they're made off, but there's not much information on this...
These are super neat! Would you say they’re waterproof/resistant like alcohol inks? How do they work with other fine liners? I’ve been wanting to find different ways of getting custom colors for line art, preferably waterproof so they work with whatever I through at them lol Also what ratio would you say your skin tones mix was?
I actually did not try if they were waterproof! The manual said not to mix the inks with water so I only used the transparent ink to make the light blends, I need to check!
Hello! I heard back from Kuretake: 'Because the ink of Ink-café at home kit is water-based dye ink, it is not waterproof when dry.' I asked whether these can be used on top of pens and liners: 'Since it is water-based dye ink, there is a possibility that it will bleed when used with other pens.' I did not get the chance to test the inks on top of dried waterproof pen since I used colored pencil and the Ink Café inks for the lineart, but I will try that when I get the chance!
@@Heikala thank you so much for getting that information! So it seems like they’re more like waterbased markers than alcohol markers, but that’s still pretty useful for different uses 😊
Kuretake should give her life-time supplies. Cus everytime she uses their products, she managed to make it look fun and worth buying
I mean she's sponsored for these videos, the products were most likely given to her

Dang look at those confident stokes
I don't have those, no wonder my lineart sucks
This was amazing, and looks so fun to try! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available in Europe / the UK :(
It's nice that you get to make your own pens, but what if you wanted a pastel color? o you get a lighter colored ink (like a less pigmented one?)
this looks divine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am waiting for the day you illustrate a story book or something, I don't care what it's about I WILL WANT IT
I was literally just browsing your channel! Keep up the beautiful work! (Also can't wait to receive your artbook as well! 🤩🌹)

OMG IM EARLy ILY
What brand of watercolor paper is that?
Hi 😊👋🏻 in the video you mention that you used your favourite watercolour paper for this video, would you mind saying what it is? 😄🥰
♥
Pystyisitkö tekemään joskus videota sun lempi taidekirjoista ? :)
I have a cuestion, is alcohol base?
Are these inks airbrush compatible?
I am not sure, I need to ask Kuretake about it!✨
Jesus loves all 🤗
