Set up looks great and your presentation is easy to follow. Thank you for figuring this out. In Wisconsin I wouod love a practice room for the long winters to keep my game up. thanks again.
The way you hang your sheet is amazing (4:13). I've been thinking of building one and I've been having trouble figuring out how to hang the nets. Your idea is genius. Thank You.
Hey you should add a black sheet behind the white one amd your picture will instantly be much brighter. Problem with a sheet is alot of light from the projecter bleeds through the black will help alot with that! Nice setup keep swinging! If possible blackout curtains used to block sunlight are exactly what your looking for
I've ordered an Optishot2 and I'm going to build this in my garage seeing as we can't get out and play due to the coronavirus . . . . only problem is a lot of other folk with the same idea and its going to take a month to arrive!
Very.. They're somewhat durable but the more you hit it it will effect the readings. Not cheap to replace either. Pretty sure there are better Sims out there for same price
Why can't you hit driver or real balls?? Plus using a different club instead of driver will not give you the same true distance or ball flight. Every club has different spin rate, loft ,etc
Mine was also $399...but it was well worth it....i play on mine at least 4 days a week....the club head speed is accurate within plus or minus 2 mph..but great simulator for the money...i played on a 45k simulator in town and honestly i didnt see much difference
Great video and thanks for sharing but there is no way you are hitting driver 325+ yds....just no way. Guessing since not actually using your driver, the club head speed is just way off. Hoping the simulation is more accurate than that across all clubs or not worth the money.
Sorry Mate, but there's a huge accuracy issue for me. There's not a chance you're carrying well over 300 yards with the driver and swinging anywhere near 110mph!
Barry Clark absolutely agree. It was over a year ago when I made this and I haven’t come to check in on the post so I may not have mentioned it but I change the settings to allow for me to not have to try and swing a driver but could still play the holes.
He said in another post he changed settings so that he wouldn't have to use a driver. So no that's not actually the correct distance or swing speed. It was done intentionally.

Thanks for taking the time to record this and talk through everything! That was a lot of work 🙏

Trey Alexander black tarp would make it not only a better picture but a great ball catcher as well.
This is a great video for the golfer on a budget. Thank you, sir.
Dude. This is every bit as good as these $12,000 simulators I’ve been seeing. Ordering this right now for quarantine! Thanks!

When setting up your screen, how did you attach your sheet to the boards?
Have you done any adjustments to the mat
Year later.. what do you think of it?
Why are ur drivers so long? Can u adjust your own personal bests as far as distance goes for each individual club?
When the days get shorter you don’t have time after work to play. This will solve that problem. Thanks for the affordable idea. Good job. 👍🏻
How do you get the projector to project what is on your PC screen? I'm not too tech savvy but there must be another setting or cable. Thanks
Nope, his laptop has an HDMI output. That's been an option on laptops for a while now.
How durable is the swing pad? If you ever hit behind the ball, how likely are you to damage the sensor?

Good for you, man. I was wondering if there were any options available out there for people that can’t afford a membership at Augusta National. 👍
What is the make and model of the projector?
Did you not watch the video. 1:30 in
Not only rude, just plain wrong. 1:30 in he's opening the Optishot box. Nowhere does he mention the mfr or model of projector.
@@jonhawkins5358 He said $50 Walmart projector. So basically a very inexpensive projector.
If you spend more money you'll get a better projector.
What kind of projector did you use?
Did you watch the video? $50 from Walmart. Go to their site and figure out out
great video...would love to put together a set up of my own...we have about 4 months lay off from the courses here..
Some of those soft foam practice balls might make it feel a little more real
Does it know if you slice/draw?
Skytrak is more expensive but it's the real deal. I understand it doesn't fit everyone's budget but if you can, save for that instead.

Thanks for the tips!,,, exelent sim!,,,from Queretaro , Mexico!,,
The Optishot 2 is like $ 400.00 was it really 200
Just a year ago?

Does the projector and optishot have hdmi
What laptop are you using?
But what simulator is it?
Thanks vor the Video... lot of inspiration
Is it accurate to your on course statistics, drive distance, accuracy?
pollard068 can’t be, right? 110 mph club head speed with a hybrid and with that swing? Just no way
That swing looks a lot slower than 110mph... maybe 85-90 tops. I’m not convinced that the read on your drive was accurate. lol
No way. See how it compares to Skytrac: ruclips.net/video/R0CiaPKu4Qg/видео.html

Great video presentation and demonstration

Do you have to keep selecting the club your using when playing a round ?
TK Benge yes
I was curious as well... and, from watching 7 other vids... looks like all these sims need to be told what club is being used prior to swing/shot
Looks great! Hope to build something similar in the near future
Great job great video! Thanks for sharing
thanks for the review , gives us all great ideas
Well done great job thanks
Nice setup but I hate the feel of the foam balls
If you were not hitting balls can you just go out the laptop to a 55" tv?
Yes, you don’t have to use the projector
Never Knew.. Now I know..Thanks
Killed it
very cool man!
Sick!!
329yd hybrid 🤔
Eldon Petty kinda boosts your ego doesn’t it
Yeah with 110 mph swing
He said in another post he changed settings so that he wouldn't have to use a driver. So no that's not actually the correct distance or swing speed. It was done intentionally.
Zero percent chance you carry a driver 318 hahaha. That thing is wildly inaccurate.
Skytrak is a much better option. More pricey but it's the real deal and way more cost effective than the real big boy sims.
What projector did you use?
