      It's because he's not standing in front of a crowd giving a motivational speech. He's just chilling out by a fireplace with a fellow thinker and they are just discussing things. I would imagine when the cameras aren't on him he's like this all the time unless he's trying to light a fire under a group of people's asses and get them motivated.

    I know this is about being selfish, but what stood out to me was that in the beginning Dan Peña talked about compensating someone when they are really good and letting them know they are good. Then the video ended with Dan Peña talking about compensating someone who made him a million. Be selfish but also be fair to those that give to you.

    • @yardmasterswealtheducation8424
      @yardmasterswealtheducation8424 5 лет назад +16

      The problem is with the emotional connections to the various words, I think. We use selfish and greedy to mean exactly the same thing. I consider the idea of doing what is necessary to survive and thrive as "self-interest." When you are willing to use dishonest means to attain your self-interest, that is when greed occurs.
      So, the reality is, if we use selfish to simplify self-interest, and use greed as greed, it makes perfect sense. Poor people don't help anyone. So, if you are being "selfish" for the purpose of meeting your own needs and desires, and to have more to give to others, that is not greed.
      I've read some of your comments on Dan's videos, and thought you might find this thought interesting.

    • @yardmasterswealtheducation8424
      @yardmasterswealtheducation8424 5 лет назад +10

      @@deezeewan2881 It sure did stay with me. Now, let me add a thought...
      "Poor" people never help anyone, but there are "rich" people "without money" who do help other people a lot. Your life is your time and energy. When you use your time and energy to provide something of value, and trade that for money, you have basically converted some of your "life" into the money. This is why I call money congealed life.
      Also, I see rich and poor as mindsets. A truly rich person can go very broke, but will have money again, because the rich mindset leads to actions well calculated to direct money toward you. A poor mindset leads to million dollar lottery winners into bankruptcy in less than one year.
      So, a "broke" rich person can "give" valuable "time and energy" that benefits others, but, if you were to ask them, they would tell you they wished they could help more people. That is where the idea that building wealth is not only "not wrong," but, for me, it is proactively an act of Christian Worship of Jesus Christ.
      I am commanded to labor with my hands that which is good so that I might have something to give to those in need. We are literally commanded to work in such a way as to more than meet our own needs.
      Ok, if I don't stop typing now, this will become a book. LOL

I told him in the beginning of our meeting that if by the end of our conversation he would still be liking me then he should know i did something wrong. I was going through more pain than him so everything i was saying was out of tough love... 3 days later i got a call from him thanking me and in return he invited me to the Toastmasters as he was making his speech there, the speech was about me, he told the story of my life and it brought me into tears.

  • @jjn6914

    Always do your due diligence with many of the numbers Mr. Peña's says. 1) extrovert-ism is more common in the human population; introverts comprise AT MOST up to 50% (it's more like 30-40%); and 2) being an introvert =/= "people pleaser". It is the EXTROVERTS who seek to please people bc human interaction is the most important to them and extroverts derive energy from positive and constant social interactions.
    Note: Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Augustus Caesar and others who've made the greatest contributions, discoveries, & inventions are/were introverts who didn't give a sh*t about pleasing people around them.

      I'll tell you what, just hoping likely won't produce a change in your life. It takes a burning desire and then taking the right actions. These are lessons I've learned from Dan Lok after joining his mentorship. What's stopping you from learning how to generate more income?

    I saw few youtube videos with Dan Peña. He is a really tough guy. I wish to be my mentor too. Nowadays is very difficult to invest or to do business . Now one wants to work and everyone is looking for easy money. It is normal to get selfish and introvert. My issue is how to invest the money nowadays and what is the best way to do it. Scams and conman are everywhere. Lucky you to have Dan Peña near you. Good luck with your videos motivates me a lot👍.

    I’m a little surprised Dan is doing a video with Dan L. Dan L to my knowledge doesn’t have any business besides this motivation/business talk/leadership platform. Am I mistaken?

    There is the love of the self and the love of others. You can be selfish without the ego getting so much into there. 2 very different aspects of self love, one is a way to be egotistic and the other is more o self pride. Many Americans do not know the difference.
