  • Comparing the sizes and the views on planets near different nebulas. All nebulas in this video are real and information about size is accurate. I used Space engine amongst other things to make this video.

    Imagine the mythologies of the beings living on those planets were the nebulae are so close.

    Space engine is just way too realistic.

    Now this is cool! You should do more videos about nebulas in space engine! And discuss the posibility of life in them...

      Unlikely since a lot of the stars in them are relatively young

    This video gleans a bit of insight into how Nebulae grow, we go from smallest to largest and I’m pretty sure youngest to oldest too. They seem to bulge out in every which way as time goes on, leafing them to go from spherical to randomly bubbled
    I love space

    A nebula so large we can discern it from a whole other GALAXY! Holy crap! Science is bloody marvellous!

      There's even some you can straight up see and photograph from a simple telescope! Such as the Tarantula Nebula, located in the LMC

    Sad to realize the Pillars Of Creation are, most likely, already gone. Blown apart from a nearby nova event. We just won't see it for another 3000+ years.

      In a lot of cases, that is hydrogen and it's very abundant in nebulas

    Why aren't all nebulas spherical like the Lemon Slice Nebula?
