    Other than the beautiful views, what I'm more interested is how a civilization's culture and religion would change due to the affects of these great colour shows in the sky

    • @KougarManx468
      @KougarManx468 3 года назад +19

      Maybe they can think of those places as the afterlife for the good or for the bad deppending on it's colour , or the home of the gods . I can see there being holidays deticated to those nebulas .

    • @Stargaze_youtube
      @Stargaze_youtube  3 года назад +17

      Yeah, that's interesting. Early civilizations would prob consider nebulas as gods watching them or something related to that.

    If you were a living organism living on a planet orbiting a star in a nebula, you probably wouldn't be able to see the nebula. If you watch What If's video, you'll understand why the host nebula will be invisible to spectrum vision.

    If we had a Nebula close to our Solar System like 5 light years away how would this affect ancient astronomy on Earth?

    • @Stargaze_youtube
      @Stargaze_youtube  3 года назад +2

      In ancient times, maybe people would've personified the nebula as some kind of divinity.

      If we did, we wouldn't exist. Nebulas are really warm, it's literally a star creator of gas and dust in space.

    • @Polarisieren61
      @Polarisieren61 Месяц назад

      @@airconditionedBreeze While conditions are very different from Earth's, we have many theories suggesting that life can evolve in planets inside nebulae. Passing through a nebula, nothing really happens, it's like walking on air. We might experience electromagnetic interference, but that's all. The only danger is if a star forms dangerously close to Earth. Other than that, we'd be fine. Sure, most nebulae are very hot, hotter than the Sun's surface, but Earth's atmosphere is so complex, it's able to radiate most of that heat. It'd probably be like a bad global warming to us if we adapt.

    These are truly beautiful, but it would not actually look like that because we can't actually see the colors of the nebula. These pictures is edited with colors so that you can see wich gasses there are. We can not see them with our naked eye
    Edit: great video tho!

    While this is absolutely beautiful. Images like these taken from inside the nebula would have to have hours and hours of exposure to really see the nebula. If a person as inside almost any nebula, they won't see the nebula because the particles are so sparse relative to being inside of it. Kinda like when you are looking through a window screen you barely notice the screen, but from far away you can clearly see the hazy screen.
