I’d just like to make a recommendation for a future video where if possible, you could go out to one of our many dark skies reserves and shoot a video. It feels like another world at night time down there and I think everyone should see it once in their lives.

This was absolutely incredible. You are such an inspiration, not just in your findings but in the way you dedicate yourself for dealing with all the difficulties of this vocation with such high spirits and endless devotion. These images blew my mind into pieces. The live feed of the star nursery with all the bubbles - a celestial object of such vast proportions laid out in front of us like sprinkles on frosting - within our live point of view, from here on earth!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And after that, seeing the protoplanetary disc and the young solar system was just beyond comprehension.

He somehow has made this episode into like an Ice Road Truckers episode. On the edge of my seat!

I know our universe is big so the prospect of having a doppelganger is actually a non-zero possibility, but there is only one Solar system. Ours. Our sun is called Sol, so the system it makes up is called the Solar system. There are plenty of other star systems, but only one Sol. Other than that, I love the upload!

      Yes:and no.
‘Sol’ is the Latin for sun, or the sun god (Sol Invictus).
The distinction between our ‘solar system’, and other sun or star systems with planets, is arbitrary, and serves only to make us feel ‘special.’ It’s also from a time when people though the stars were point of light in ‘the firmament’, and then (when we knew better), that our local star was the only one with planets.
We have long accepted that we live in a heliocentric system, but our mindset is mostly geocentric or homocentric.

Just discovered this channel today! Love this guy. He's like the love-child between Brian Cox and Richard Hammond (of Top Gear fame). Fantastic content, fantastically delivered and produced. Well done!!
