    Great Great review! I went to the dealer and I seat on ktm 890 , the 790 adv r , the tenere and the transalp... well as for riding position the tenere felt like wood and very top heavy.
    Ktm 890 ' 23 felt lighter than a 200 kilos but uncomfortable, and the plastics on the dash are already recycled..
    The 790 adv r '2019 felt high and it is high but the ergonomics are good and finally to the transalp...
    Well the moment you sit on it feels like you own the bike for a year. It definitely not top heavy , somehow they achieve that , and.. feels great! And performance??!! I test the hornet that shares the same engine and its a rocket!!!
    Thats all from Me! Great video again!!!

      Yes especially till 5000rpm there is no big difference to the Tenere but after you feel it but nothing crazy

  • @IdealBike
    @IdealBike Год назад +4

    Thank you for the review Alex, what I understand is that after 5000 rpm you can feel the power, what about under 5000 does it vibrate more? The rear suspension seems very soft, it was as standard preset? I suppose after pre-load adjustment will be stiffer. The front suspension doesn't have even a pre-load adjustment unfortunately.... After riding it does it makes you switch from the Tenere? Still the price with full accessories pack it's quite high at Transalp.... 11,500 plus at least 2000 EUR accessories 😢

    • @MrMegaPerez
      @MrMegaPerez  Год назад +3

      Hey, it doesn’t vibrate more the engine is super smooth but you don’t feel the big power till 5000rpm compared to the T7 for example.
      Suspension was standard setup
      I don’t know if I want to switch if it would have DCT than for sure but like this I don’t know it’s an awesome bike but the Tenere as well :/
      My plan is to take it for a two day ride and then decide.
      I would not take any packages. Just buy barkbusters and Engine protection for SW motech in black that’s it :)

    Good in depth review thanx.
    Nice looking machine in the tricolour option.
    More positivs than negatives.
    But yet it seems like another halfhearted product from Honda i was expecting more.
    Positives:
    Best Transalp in the line up yet:
    Looks, 6speed, Engine, 21/18, Robust forks & suspension, fully led lights, self cancelling blinkers, accessable seatheight, Adequat suspension travel & ground clearence, handling on tarmac, alllrounder, Comfort & ergonomics, enough electronics. Easy removal of panels , many tailormade accesory options, Click on luggage system & hopefully not too top heavy.
    Negatives:
    Suspension, Low muffler, No easy adjustable windscreen, seems like Airfilter located under the fueltank, No cruise control, No tubeless, To naked out of the box, No Angle valves, No Wingbadge,Qustionable quality of Honda overprized accesories, No Gps mounting bar, No Usb charger out of the box, Price will add up as You put nessesary accesories, no spring loaded gear & break levers, No adjustable front fender & No Dct
    Conclusion:
    For the price of this machine with all its accesories in My country is far higher than am willing to put down. I rather consider Africa Twin Crf1000 from 2016-2019 cheaper, more power, Dct, Better suspension, better offroad, & with all proper accessories.

    • @MrMegaPerez

    Nice review. I have watched many reviews about this bike and no one mentioned that this bike is lacking a remote preload adjuster for rear shock. I understand that it is a budget bike but uprgrading the suspension is not cheap too. I will go for a tiger 900 or 890 adv

    • @MrMegaPerez
      @MrMegaPerez  Год назад +1

    Sounds like you REALLY liked the Transalp! I am torn between it and the NC750x. I like both, am 58 years old and not that tall. Gravel maybe, no real off road. It would be great to have your opinion of the 3 bikes given your experience. Thanks for your videos!!!

    • @MrMegaPerez

      Hi, I would take the NC750X DCT if gravel is the most technical stuff you gonna ride :) the NC with DCT, 17 inch wheels, low center of gravity and this torque engine is just awesome for road riding

    Great video thanks!! I would really consider this bike as a substitute for my nc700x, it is a shame that the suspension as a bit weaker for mixed use (on off road), I personally would not mind to pay extra £800 and have a better suspension, but I also understand that not everyone will take this bike off road. External temperature? What a joke, no remote nob for the rear suspension another joke but even though I think I’m in love❤

    ….made the right choice on my recent purchase for sure then, with my 2023 Yamaha Ténéré! 👍🏻
    No remote preload adjuster on the rear shock was the deal breaker for me on this bike!
    Also putting no ‘air temp’ on this Honda was a stupid decision..
    My Ténéré sounds totally awesome now with its aftermarket Scorpion exhaust, one of the best sounding (if not the best) 270 degree parallel twins out there IMO!!
    The Ténéré looks way better also, although that is subjective.
    I wanted a simple bike with no rider modes or aids on it whatsoever, so again the Yamaha won out, the new TFT is super sleek on the new 2023 model too 😎

    i love the look. i used to own a base model africa twin 1100 and it was a torque/wheelie machine and perfect for my 187cm but i think for most normal riding this thing ticks just as many boxes. also the africa twin wasnt the sharpest in the corners and i believe this from all the reviews is nimble in the corners. i never used the apple car play or half the mumbo jumbo in the africa twin electronics and i appreciate the more minimal electronics on this. i wouldnt say for my height the africa twin felt cumbersome but i would also appreciate the lighter feel just backing it in to car parks etc as i am getting older. this is a minor point but a really great one. the base africa twin didnt come with the passenger handrails, they were a stupid $400 or $500 extra so its great you get the tft dash, taller screen than the base africa twin, and handrails. all in all its a win win i just dont know if i could part with my beloved moto guzzi

    Reality: another road bike from Honda with a long list of extra accessories that you need to buy right away.

    • @MrMegaPerez
      @MrMegaPerez  Год назад +3

      No, definitely not a Tenere or Tuareg killer. The Transalp looks similar on paper but it’s a completely different bike. Still I think a lot of people will be happy with it because most of us don’t have the skills to ride the other two properly ;) for example my T7 is actually an overkill for me I could never use it’s full potential

    • @Adventurous_noob
      @Adventurous_noob Год назад +2

      @@MrMegaPerez yes and no. I had a 21 NC750x and was less happy about it than you were. Now I put 2500km on my Tuareg 660 and it just feels so comfortable even when I slowly explore mountain trails. I may not use the whole potential of the bike but I wouldn't want something less capable (or less absorbing) especially for the same money. Why would I??
      Tuareg and T7 are proper all-arounders with the lowest weight in the class. Honda could have added a proper fork and proper rear shock, made the suspension fully adjustable (for those who wanted to find a road bike in it) and come up with a great alloy of cb500, nc750 and Africa... but decided to save peanuts again and failed (((
