- This is more like it! Wish I could've uploaded a video like this for Christmas but I guess a few days after isn't a big deal. Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season ...and I wish all of you who watch and enjoy a Happy New Year 2016!
Filmed on 12/29/15 the morning after a smaller snowstorm that night here in Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota.

Nice video...they fly in all weather....accept for when it was raining ice in Chicago a few days ago...it was pretty bad out its so rare to have sleet coming down like it did that day on Monday. I like that ending too how you could see some of the people sitting in the plane.
+Sheri-myvideos I always try to get some different an interesting shots that kind of set the mood... or let you see some things that mostly aren't filmed. Not always able to make it work but I'm glad it worked out this time.
I uploaded two videos with my family in it. One is a music video and they love it!! The second one is me and two of my sisters on the tea cup ride. I was hesitant to upload that for a while because I don't know if they would mind but I finally just loaded it to utube. My niece and her husband is in the background of my music video too and they both LOVE Disneyland. My niece would be the one holding her arms up on the tea cup ride off in the distance.

it is so interesting to see planes taxing on snow honest to god Jay how do these pilots even see the taxi ways and navigate those things. it is also very interesting just see the grounds crew gingerly stepping on the tarmac to get the chalks on to the wheels because I must have been very slippery. thanks for sharing something we will probably never see at LAX it is a whole different world and you showed it to us
+Lare Austin haha! I know.... can be challenging for sure... you just taxi where you think the marks are and use caution to stay clear of the runways. I;ve done spotting outdoors and indoors now in the snow and I have to say I;ll take indoors for sure. :D The outdoor spotting at O'Hare last year was pretty fun though. Happy 2016 to you and yours!

Damn...now that's a real winter...nothing like what we get around here. I don't know if you heard, but LH455-the A380 flight from SFO to FRA- diverted to MSP last night for medical reasons. Anyhow, great video...I love the perspective from the terminal!

How do they plow the snow off the runways and taxiways without damaging the centerline lights in the pavement?
Those are some sturdy lights. Built to withstand an airplane landing on top of them, they only bulge from the concrete slightly. They take a snowplow no problem.

It'll be their 9th North American City. They currently fly to JFK, Washington-Dulles, Miami, O'Hare, Philadelphia, Houston-Intercontinental, Dallas Fort/Worth and Montreal. At 7:25 I see an "Air Cal"? That was a California commuter airline with a fleet of 737's that disolved in the early 1990's. It even has it's 1980's color scheme on the tail.
Sure is! But it's actually just an American Airlines special livery... they have a number of their planes painted up like the airlines they have taken over in year past... a bit of an odd move, but hey, if you want to film Reno Air again they do indeed have that one as well.

Hey! I'm going to be in Chicago next weekend and I will be staying at the Hilton at the airport. Do you have any ideas where I could record decent videos besides the USG parking lot? The websites for spotting locations don't seem to be much help... Any tips would be much appreciated! Thank You!
+Av8tor16 Thanks for the note. There are not a lot of places besides the USG Parking lot.... most of the other locations are private property requiring permission (or you to be a part of the locally recognized ORD Airport Watch. I personally am a member and do recommend it if you want to spend extensive time spotting here. ) There is one location off of Irving Park Rd on Seymour Ave. which is decent enough that you have a good shot at 22L departures... just make sure not to block the gates there on the turnoff. Look for it on Google Maps. Good luck! O'Hare is a hard airport to planespot even if you have permission to go places due to its size.

Av8tor16 You can,...but if the police tell you to leave you'll have to. The shots really aren't that good unless it's winter (like now) because the trees block the view of the runway 27L. You won't be able to see the other side of the ramp up there.

At least they are more intelligent than the American carriers training wise and also purchasers of this A-380 that American units like Delta should seriously consider purchasing (Since Delta for example has a route from Atlanta to metro Tokyo of all flights). LH 445 to me has a great flight plan and can actually move people cheaply.
