Thanks Jay for finding time to bring us new videos. I'll probably miss the heavies and the impressive air traffic of Chicago (as you surely do), but the important thing is that you love aviation and it shows.
Spectacular as always, it's good to know that the awesomeness won't stop no matter which airport you're at. MSP certainly has a much nicer view than ORD! (Well, aside from the spot that was closed, that will always be the king)
+dude8472productions THAX 4 watching! yeah, this spot is pretty good but it will never compare to the old Delta Cargo location...... there is a possibility I might be able to planespot there again sometime soon since I am now a Delta Connection employee. We'll see. For as long as I will live, and as long as I have any say about it, I plan to bring awesomeness to this channel as much as I can.
Wow, what an awesome compilation, buddy!! Looks like Minneapolis is a very spotter friendly airport. Awesome shots you made! The Delta 777 was my favorite :) And the shot at 21:45 is absolutely awesome!! :D Well done, Jay! Well deserved like from me!!
Excellent. Thanks. Good to see some Delta regional jets. A certain Atlanta-based person (who we know and love) cannot conceal his disgust of the breed!
+Kevin D LOL... regional jets are airplanes too. Even if they aren't as exciting as the big ones, those who love flight won't see much of a difference. Cool is cool.
Good to hear from you again. Fortunately DL have a good variety of equipment, it's not just endless parades of A320s or 737s. And some C-130s lurking in the background.
+AndreiTupolev I do hope to catch a C-130 moving around at some point... apparently operations take place a bunch here. Thanks always for watching, my friend!
Goodbye, Mr. O'Hare.......Helloooooooooo, Mr. Delta!!! ;) Thanks very much for the vid, Jay. Limited variety, yeah, but it looks like you've managed to find a pretty nice spot.......and, hey!.......they're all still AWESOME aircraft!.......that NEVER changes. And, like you say........"it's what you do with what you got that counts". Keep them coming whenever you can, man. Hope everything is going really well for you so far.
First MSP Plane Spotting Video! :-) Great Work Jay! :) It's Delta Airlines All Round, but at least Air France seasonally flies in from Paris and certainty other international airlines are keen on MSP. Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Norwegian Long Haul and Korean Air may all soon start service to Minneapolis. Anyway, though not a variety of airlines but still always a pleasure watching your videos! :-)
Now this was the good old days of Aviation. Sweet catches of Delta’s MD88s, MD90s, B717-200s, Endeavor Air & Skywest CRJ200s & CRJ900s. I miss these days in the past and wish I can relive them because I miss seeing & dying on the Mad Dogs. They’re the joys of my childhood and I’ll forever miss them. Nothing beats a classic flashback to bring tears to my eyes. 😭🥺
J wow my two favorite planes in my entire video that great big 757-300 and the Southwest with the new colors right off the bat this is a winner way to go Jay I love it
Best video I've seen yet, the quality is amazing, like watching TV or movie. Really great shots, also the old jets are better, much more noisy which is a great sound as modern jets are too quiet. Will miss the last of sweet sound of the old jets once MD's are retired.
I too have to agree I will miss the old jets but it is obviously understandble the airlines want more efficiency... thanks for the complement! I do try to make these videos the best they can be without spending incredible amounts of money. This is just a hobby of mine. Thanks for watching and commenting.
thanks for getting back to me. it looks like an awesome spot. can you tell me exactly where it is and how to get there. I want to go check it out tomorrow afternoon
we have been plane spotting off of post road and that's not a very good spot becuase the fence blocks everything. the only good thing is that most of the heavy jets land and take off here becuase they park on this side of the terminal
+Budd B Great to hear from you, Budd! Life's been super busy with endless training for now but it feels good to get back into planespotting now. Hopefully more to come. Tell the guys I said "hi".
Great video!! Interesting seeing some awesome action from a different airport, definately delta heaven! Nice seeing all those 757s, they never come to Australia. That Sun Country 737 looked amazing as well! After happy aircraft fridays, it's interesting to also see all these middle scale movements as well (although the DAL 777 and A330 was pretty nice.) Camerawork on point as always! Huge like!
+BrisbaneAviation HD THanks so much for the note, mate! I wish Minneapolis had enough big aircraft for me to put together a good HEAVY AIRCRAFT FRIDAY video for you weekly... but sadly it doesn't. Hopefully, what I can do for now will work for now. Wishing you a fantastic rest of the weekend. Greetings from MSP!
Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD That's alright, there are plenty of those great friday episodes to rewatch :D Great to see you're going well in MSP!
Hi Jay.I think that in Minneapolis you are closer to action than in Chicago.I am sure you will get the spots you are looking for in the future.Nice video.
That was a very good video!! You were pretty close and so there are a lot of neat shots. I saw the one red thing that spins in circles I cant think of the name of it...Cleveland airport has one of those too that I zoomed in on and filmed for a few seconds after our plane landed. The airport reminded me of Midway looking about the same size and looking busy like Midway and Midway is loaded with Southwest and ST Paul is Loaded with Delta.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD I was talking about that big flat thing that spins in a circle is that a Radar? I always that is a Radar the one in Cleveland looks just like that. And I know Midway has the black bar that spins around. Isn't that a Radar?
***** ah! yes, now I know what you mean... yes, that is indeed a type of air traffic control radar. I've added clips of it every now and then into O'Hare videos as well.
REALLY I LOVE DELTA AND I TOOK DELTA ALOT I STARTED GOING ON DELTA WHEN I WAS 6 YEARS OLD!! And thank you for adding the Boeing 737 south west and delta this year I took the Boeing 737 delta
Jay you could film in a municipal airport in Timbuktoo, Nowheresville and make it look great. So Minneapolis is not Chicago O'Hare. Really other than a handful of airports in the world, what other would rival what happens almost minute-by-minute at O'Hare? You did a fine job with this vid as to be expected. just realize in several months when it's zero degrees in Minneapolis with -20 degree wind chill factor at twelve noon that it WOULD be hard to film vids at that city's large airport. Thumbs up, of course for this great vid!
+jeffman61 thanks jeffman! yes, I've done some spotting in super low temps at O'Hare but I have a feeling MSP will be even more difficult. Who knows? But i'll try to post more and more soon as I can.
+Christopher Cooper For someone coming from Variety Town U.S.A. it's actually kinda cool to see what an airline dominated airport looks like. At least Delta's paint job is fun to look at.
Oh Jay I missed you!!. Hope all is well in the Twin Cities with you and work is ok. Seems like MSP is a colder version of Atlanta,Delta Delta and more Delta. Does American or United go to MSP? Love the video !! First class job as always.
Even though there isn't much variety delta does flights from msp to Amsterdam,Tokyo,London and Paris and other international flights.delta's third largest hub is here 2nd being Detroit and 1st being Atlanta (pretty obvious)
+TheSolnabo thanks, TheSolnabo! I miss NWA at O'Hare as well.... seeing them absent from here is certainly quite different... but Delta is a good airline and I'm happy to seem them continue where NWA left off.
Tomorrow at 8:55 PM EDT Air Canada launches nonstop 787 flights to Dubai. Emirates which regularly competes with Etihad on the route will face fresh new competition from Air Canada's 787-9s. Emirates which currently flies thrice-weekly A380s to YYZ could increase capacity by adding 2 extra weekly A380 flights and Launching 777 flights to Montreal, Atlanta and Miami. I am certain Emirates is looking at launching daily flights to Minneapolis.
I live in Minnesota, and Delta has almost all of the gates at the main terminal. United Airlines, Air Canada and Spirit are some of the few exceptions!
WOW! Nice, I did not know how much Delta actually were at MSP. Congratulations! How do you like the spotting locations here compared to the ones at O'Hare. O course there is less traffic, but this is still a vey busy airport!
+Groyd There's enough traffic to keep my aviation heart glad, Mr. Groyd! I think I will enjoy my time representing this airport for however long it may be.
Today Norwegian Long Haul starts 787 flights between Stockholm-Arlanda and Las Vegas. Tomorrow evening Air Canada starts nonstop 787 flights from Toronto-Pearson to Delhi.
where were you watching these planes land? I have been plane spotting at msp airport many times but have yet to find a good spot to watch from? can you please tell me where you are watching from?
Nice Video. Liked it though it definitely lacks the variety of airline and aircraft that O'hare had. Are you ever going to change ur name because of the location change?
Jay, awesome video as usual. I am starting a residency in Eau Claire, WI and am hoping to come up to MSP to spot one of these weekends. For a layperson with no ticket/terminal access do you recommend this cargo road location as the best area? I have read about another area over by the cemetery and also heard the parking decks may work but for an out of towner which areas would you recommend most? Is it pretty reliant on the runways in use I take it? When 12R is in use this spot looks amazing!
I would certainly recommend the Cargo Road location. Sometimes it can be a little crowded but overall it is the best spot I believe.... I really haven't been to the other spots you mentioned but I think they could be worth the try if you don't like what you see at Cargo Road.... hope that helps, that's about all I know since I've pretty much only spotted from Cargo Road and in the terminal.
Thanks Jay for finding time to bring us new videos. I'll probably miss the heavies and the impressive air traffic of Chicago (as you surely do), but the important thing is that you love aviation and it shows.
+Jorge Ragaglia thanks, Jorge! Aviation forever, my friend.

Good captures, especially the 764 from LHR and 777 from NRT!
+EPFlight Thanks, man! Loved filming those two.

+turbofanlover haha!! Mr. Delta it is then :) I really like working for Delta Connection so far. VERY cool. I hope to make more vids soon.
Great compilation!! Thanks for sharing! Cool to see lots of Delta with a splash of Southwest, United, and Sun Country! Liked a lot!!
+Horizon Productions SFL Thanks, man! It's not O'Hare... but it's still pretty cool!

Very cool video!
+MCOSpotting HD T H N X ! ! !
Does Delta still have the DC-9s or have they all been replaced by the B717s? cool plane shots!
All of them are now replaced and thankfully so... I liked the Dc-9 noise factor but as for the travel experience the 717 is way better.
Today Norwegian Long Haul starts 787 flights between Stockholm-Arlanda and Las Vegas. Tomorrow evening Air Canada starts nonstop 787 flights from Toronto-Pearson to Delhi.
+Syed Hoque Great stuff! thanks for the note.
