Another great vid, Jay! Personally I love the new AA livery! I know that AA has long ditched flying 747's. But on my first trip to Hawaii back in Aug. 1981, I flew on an American Airlines 747 jumbo jet originating in NYC Kennedy, a stop over at LAX, and then onto Honolulu Intl. Yes, and back then they actually fed us full meals on both legs of the trip. Somewhere in an old scrap book of photos I took that summer on my trip I took a picture of our AA Boeing 747 at the gate before our departure back to the mainland. Thanks for sharing this awesome vid!
Absolutely stunning footage. I miss the old AA livery so much. I remember seeing the triple seven silverbird landing at O'Hare and being amazed at the main gear. Thank you wholeheartedly for sharing this memory.
Haven't had any time to watch everything yet, but I already love it ! I do love their paint but I've only had best experiences on AA . On one flight from MIA to LHR the electronics were totally messed up and when I boarded the aircraft my seat was literally missing !!! They eventually brought a seat in from the terminal but I was speechless at that moment ... The flight was very rough with a lot of turbulence (which of course isn't their fault ) but luckily they have new equipment on board now so I'm thinking about flying with AA in the future and give it one more try ;-)

Great vid! I too have a soft spot for American. I love the bare aluminium look of the old livery, but I really like the new design as well. That cross-wind 767 landing at about 20:00 was pretty hairy!

This is the greatest video in the the list of greatest video's of the world. Truly amazing. American Airlines is the best out there. American Airlines doesn't fly their B777-300ER's to O'hare. I don't think you will ever see one unless for a diversion for some reason. You are definitely going to start to see their Airbus A319's and possibly their A321T's. American Airlines still has some B767-200's, I see them rarely. My favorite slogan has to be "We know why you fly..." Opinion's on livery's, I love them both. Though the B767-300ER looks best in chrome. US Airways only has 2 A319's painted in the New American? I'd have to check. It's going to take years for them to paint up those A330's. Once again, amazing video!!! I couldn't thank you enough.

Stunning video! I really miss the old american (eagle) livery. It was so simple but still very beautiful and something special for me. And if I was a normal passenger I wouldn't recognize that there is a beak of an eagle painted on the new aircrafts and the name american eagle wouldn't make sense for me.

I love the new livery so much more because of the flag🇺🇸 on the tail fin which screams “America!” Whereas the old livery’s red, white, and blue, stripe that runs along the length of the plane looks like the Netherlands flag upside down.(🇳🇱)

I took the 767-300s in standard form, in the OW livery, in classic logo with winglets and current logo with winglets. Recently, I took the A321T and I do not miss the pain plane (767-200, which always seemed to break down). Nor do I miss the 757, which they are retiring and the older 737-800s (pre Boeing Sky Interior). I am hoping the MD-80 will be retiring soon, too. I want to get on the 787.

I am hoping they will bring the 787 to SFO for the nonstops to and from MIA. They were using the 757s and 763s. Right now they are using the 738s, which are too small for that route and for the demand of passengers as it is a huge hub to the Americas.

I don't care what people say ,I will still continue flying American over many other airlines. Because I never had a bad experience with them compared to some airlines I've flown with. For example boarding is 10 times faster than Lufthansa or British Airways. And most of the crew is firendly ,the only time I had a bad experience is when they just merged with us ,and I had a us crew And I got bumped up to first class twice for no reason.

well American should have done something more true the iconic double AA's.....I know the reinvention of the brand was necessary but the clean elegance of the old was not given any consideration.
I loved American's chrome, "beer can" look but I wish they'd stop merging and swallowing up the other airlines that we knew and loved.😣😐 ( TransCarribbean, Air Cal, Reno Air, TWA, USAir) we miss you !!😢
